Location: Holden Beach, Southern Coast, Coastal, North Carolina, USA (40 miles to Wilmington; less than hour from Myrtle)

Enjoy your vacation in our charming second row beach cottage. The ocean is just steps away on our private beach walkway. We are now taking reservations for summer 2009 as well as flexible fall/winter 2009 rentals.

"The Sandbox" is perfect for the small family. We have three bedrooms, one bath, kitchen/ dining room, and living room in the one level cottage as well as a rocking chair screened porch on the front. The screened porch provides excellent views of the ocean.

Downstairs are his and her showers, a laundry room and covered parking. Our cozy cottage was entirely updated in 2006 with new furnishings and paint. We are centrally located on Holden Beach where it is an easy walk to restaurants, the ice cream shop and candy store!

National Geographic rated Holden Beach the No. 9 family beach in the United States. This is also a great place for golfers who want a nice place to relax between rounds. There are 35 golf courses in the area.

  • Just getting ready to pack up and leave for the week.....it was a fabulous time....we were the only cottage that could eat dinner outside on our screened in porch!!! Eat at Captain Pete's, it is awsome. The beach is wonderful and the cottage is great....we will be back for sure!

  • We stayed here in 08 for our family's annual beach vacation. The house was perfect for our family of 4. We ate nightly on the screened in porch and enjoyed the fresh beach air. We walked down to the ice cream and candy shops regularly. The beach access is directly across the street which made it easy to get to and from the beach with all of our things and toddler in tow. We are hoping to come back next year.

  • We had an excellent week-long stay at the house in mid-June. The beds were comfy, the kitchen had plenty of space, the beach access couldn't have been easier, and you can't beat the price! All in all, it was a wonderful week, and we wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

  • We had an awesome stay and were very comfortable. The beach access is easy and the beach itself was the best we've ever enjoyed. A minor plumbing problem was resolved so fast that it seemed like it hadn't happened. Very hospitable owners. Thanks for the great vacation.

  • 21st March to 5th April 2008: This was our first visit to NC, and we had a most wonderful time. The beach house is a dream, wonderful amenities, a proper 'home from home'. Having my early morning coffee, or my evening glass of wine listening to the waves on the shore was pure magic. I cannot wait to return to what I can only describe as 'paradise'.
