Our well appointed condo has every guest convenience from two large lanais, a fully-equipped kitchen, plush furnishings, cable TV, free high speed wireless internet, exceptional cleanliness and more, all at well below what you would pay per day for a similar deluxe two bedroom/bath condo.
Our condo has a beautiful oceanfront view and comfortably sleeps six adults. The Ilikai is but a short walk to the famed Ala Moana Shopping Center, the Honolulu Convention Center and all other famous Waikiki Beach attractions. The Ilikai Hotel is located between the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the well known Ala Wai Yacht Harbor.
You can rent other two bedroom units lacking the cleanliness you'd expect or in need of renovation for less. However, no other deluxe ocean front two bedroom/two bathroom condo offers you the value we do considering the abundant amenities, excellent location, deluxe furnishings and upscale interior of our unit which includes a powerful new AC system and new custom drapes. And, you'll be renting our personal Island home, not a commercial condo with low end rental furnishings and accoutrements. Our condo provides everything you'll need to make your vacation complete.
We also offer ice chests, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, body surfing boards, and children's inflatables to further enhance your days at the beach. Plus we offer a cart to help haul your gear to and from the beach.
No other location puts you within such short walking distances to all the many desirable Waikiki Beach attractions as the Ilikai Hotel. From our unit, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean, sailboats, Hawaiian outrigger canoes, surfers, dazzling rainbows and beautiful sunsets. The Ilikai is located on Waikiki's best and least crowded beach, where you can enjoy the sun, sand and plenty of surf. And, no other condo-hotel on Waikiki Beach offers such well groomed beaches, a child friendly hotel swimming pool and a tidal lagoon swimming pool for our guests that is located just behind the Hotel.
Our condo also places you within a very short walk to the popular Hale Koa Hawaiian picnic ground, located on Waikiki Beach. The picnic ground provides a children's play area, charcoal grills and picnic tables for your family's memorable day at the beach! We provide a utility cart, ice chests and all the tools you'll need for your cook out and picnic. Groceries are but a short walk from the Ilikai. This is a great way to spend a family day!
One of the Ilikai's greatest claims to fame was from its prominence in the television series "Hawaii Five-O". During the opening credit of each episode, McGarrett stood on the lanai of the Ilikai's magnificent penthouse. And, the Ilikai was used prominently as a back drop for many scenes in the series that ran for 12 years. The new Hawaii Five-O Series also places McGarrett atop the Ilikai and the same penthouse lanai!
Public transportation on Oahu is outstanding and a moderately priced bus pass from an ABC Store will take you and your family to every attraction on Oahu. However, if a rental car is your choice, then there are two nationally known car rental agencies across the street in Dicovery Bay. Self-parking or Valet is available at the hotel for a fee.

Why the Owner Chose Ilikai Hotel Condos
My father was a Survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor and Hickam Air Field on 7 December, 1941. Dad was a career soldier in the Air Force and was once again stationed in Hawaii from 1962 to 1965. Our family loved Hawaii from the beginning. My job brought me to Hawaii on a number of occassions and it seemed that with each trip I became more connected at the hip with my Dad's Pearl Harbor legacy as well as the local residents and their friendly customs. We vacationed on Oahu a number of times during all of those years as well. In 2002 we began looking at rental properties we could use part of the year and bought our unit at the Ilikai Hotel. We love the Hawaiian culture, its history, the food, music and the friendly local folks. We hope that you enjoy your stay and will come again, soon.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We like to sit on our South lanai watching the surfers, sailboats and outrigger canoes. One of the great benefits are the beautiful rainbows that can be seen from our two lanais. Our condo is completely furnished and includes all the appliances and amenities one would expect to find back home. As a result, when we visit our Hawaiian home, we feel like we are truly at home and are very comfortable. We believe our deluxe amentities are a real plus for our renters and makes them feel at home too. We enjoy the Royal Hawaiian Band that plays at noon every Friday at Iolani Palace. This is a must. We also enjoy the local Hawaiian entertainment, especially Sunday nights at the Waikiki Marriott. A unique benefit is that we can walk anywhere in the Waikiki Beach area in no more than 15 minutes. We always have a picnic or two at the Hale Koa picnic grounds just east of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It's located at Fort DeRussey and is on the beach. They provide grills and picnic tables. We enjoy spending days at the beach from this location. We love going to the north shore and watching the turtles near Haleiwa Town. And, we never miss a chance to stop at Matsumoto's Shaved Ice shop (snow cone) in Haleiwa for a frozen treat.

We are Gloria and Steve Henderson and both retired since 2002. Gloria is a retired high school teacher and Steve retired from an auto parts manufacturer in the Denver area after a 30 year career in marketing and sales. We have an only daughter and three beautiful granddaughters aged 5, 9 and 12 who love Hawaii! We live in Colorado Springs when we're not in Hawaii. We keep busy with volunteer work. Steve operates a legal services business while Gloria owns an educational publishing company. Steve is a member of "Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors" and volunteers at the Pearl Harbor Memorial when we are on Oahu.

Mahalo Steve for the use of your condo. My family spent 7 days in the beginning of Sept there and very much enjoyed the comfort and homely feel of the unit. It was very clean and tidy and had sensational views of the ocean. We especially enjoyed the nightly Lauau show on the rooftop of the building next door. Steve was very helpful and reponsive in arranging the book which was very much appreciated. The unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the Illakai was a lovely hotel with helpful services such as the concierge who made all the bookings we required for our day trips plus provided us with additional information throughout our stay as required. My only complaint would be with Marina Vacation rentals who i had a little difficulty with arranging payment as they do not seem to clearly read their emails and then once i arrived provided us with the wrong keys to enter the appartment and also advised that i could use the phone in the room with a prepaid phone card without arranging for connection of the phone which was in fact incorrect. They did however store our bags when we arrived whilst waiting for the room to be ready and followed up with housekeeping to get us early access so for this i was very appreciative. I would definetly recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay here as Steve has provided a lovely home away from home for his visitors.

Our family (married couple, 2 year-old twins, 6 year-old, and a nanny!) came to stay. We were so thankful for the space, the kitchen, and the location! We were able to set up two cribs (thanks for having one for us to use!) in the master bedroom. Our nanny and 6 year-old shared the other room. This unit was at the end of the hallway so it was very private and quiet. The unit was clean and you can tell people do their best to keep it that way. My husband had to work a bit and was able to use the wi-fi...our nanny skyped as well. We used the tv and dvd player-all working great! We used the cart to get things to and from the lagoon. The lagoon was perfect for our children and our nanny enjoyed just the few steps more to the beach. Never even used the pool although it was clean and used by many other guests. We used the parking at the hotel b/c our plans consisted of lots of coming and going each day. The restaurant at the top is pricey, but was a great place for us to escape after the kids were down. We often took the short stroll over to the hotel next door for ice cream, shopping, and restaurants. Our hotel staff was wonderful and helped us with outings. The condo staff was great as well. We were so glad to save money on our lodging (and have a perfectly wonderful place to stay) in order to have adventures of a lifetime! Thanks!

Enjoyed your nice condo a lot. It was very comfortable and it seemed like we were coming home each evening after our daily jaunts to the tourist spots. The family loved Hawaii! Dear Steve, My girls and I stayed at your beautiful condo May 9th - the 20th. I wanted to thank you for all your help and understanding and for giving my girls and I a safe, clean and comfortable place to stay. My four daughters were finally able to meet their grandmother for the first and last time. My mom passed 2 days after we returned home. Mom was so happy to finally see her grandchildren. The girls were able to hear her tell them stories, she even sang to them a little. This wouldn’t has been possible without you. I didn’t know where we were going to be able to stay that would accommodate us all and be affordable. Your island home with beautiful views was a comfort to us each night when we returned from the hospital. I was able to take my girls and show them some of Hawaii's beauty that I had known as a girl as well as introduce them to family they had never met. I hope to contact you and stay in your home again.
