We hate to tell anyone else about this place because we love it and don't want to share, but truthfully, it's our favorite place by far: - inside: light, warm, cozy and beautiful place to stay - outside: beautiful view and in our favorite area - quiet and peaceful - perfect proximity to slopes - wonderful hiking nearby, wonderful strolling to stretch the legs - feels "around the corner" from Tahoe City (15 min) The flat itself is wonderful--light, warm & cozy with wood and river rock interior; bedrooms, beds and bedding are generous and just right. The owners are very responsive and helpful. We appreciate their many touches large and small: great stove/oven, cooking supplies and dishes; the bathrooms are perfect; the sitting area and fireplace is perfect; wonderfully wired for internet/entertainment; great parking; the best parts of ski in/out without any of the disadvantages. We stayed 9 days and didn't want to leave. When traveling anywhere else in the area and then heading back, we felt we were returning to our secret, woodsy, mountain hideaway. Guess it's not a secret anymore. Shhh!

We had a great time during our weekend stay here. Having stayed in Tahoe on other occasions, I know that many other condos have a distinct "thrown together" look - mismatched furniture, second-hand cooking utensils, etc.. Not so here. The condo is beautifully decorated in a contemporary, warm style and the gourmet kitchen (with a 6 burner range!) is a chef's delight. We enjoyed lounging in front of the fireplace at the end of a long day, but by far the highlight for me was the huge jacuzzi tub in the Master bathroom. What a perfect way to end a tough day of skiing! The very close proximity to Alpine Meadows is a huge bonus too. We look forward to returning to this great condo!

We stayed in this great condo for three weeks, and had a great time. Highlights: .. Ski in and out. We walked about 100 yards, and could ski down to subway chair. Gentian Gully is a great way to ski home, if you are comfortable on a pretty easy black run. Alternatively, there was a shuttle at 9 and 945. This had to be one of the closest, most hassle free ways to ski alpine. .. Great kitchen. The pictures are accurate. I have never rented a condo with a better kitchen. Fully set up, and with great appliances. There. Is a table that seats 10, which was great when we had friends over. .. Steam sauna. Love it. 15 minutes after a cold day on the slopes and everything is good. It's only one line in the listing, but definitely a highlight. .. Comfort. Great heating, comfortable beds and furniture. Nice finishing. The condo is extremely well maintained. .. Easy parking and access. Park 3 feet from the door makes for easy unloading. Ski locker by front door is handy. There is one reserved parking spot, but we found there to be plenty of parking for a second car, even on a busy weekend. .. The owners were very helpful, and easy to deal with. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

What a great place you have! So close to the ski resort and so quiet. We were able to get to Tahoe City in 7 minutes. The kids loved their own "private" room with bunks, a sofa and a host of videos to choose from and we loved cooking in your kitchen . The place was so warm, cozy and inviting. We will definately be back!
