Why the Owner Chose Alpine Meadows
Alpine Meadows is a wonderful family resort, with great skiing for all levels. It is also friendly and more affordable than Squaw. However, Squaw is just a 10 minute drive away, so you can try both resorts while you're here.

We enjoy the relative quiet of Alpine Meadows. If we want restaurants/bars/music, its just a 10 minute drive in either direction to Squaw or Tahoe City.
