Outstanding, five star property! Beautifully decorated and equipped, with exceptional views. We have been traveling to Maui for 35 years and have stayed in quite a few different properties. Mahana 301 ranks at the top. It is truly fantastic!

I stayed in this condo for just over 2.5 months mid. Jan.-March/2012 and find it difficult to keep my review short.This condo is incredible. The pictures are accurate but don't do it justice.The ocean view is everywhere you look , through the floor to ceiling windows. The sunrises and sunsets everyday were spectacular . Watching the whales and sea turtles go by , made it hard to leave the deck. Many days you did not need binoculars as they were so close. You could throw a ball off the deck and hit the ocean. There is a lovely dining room table inside , but all meals ended up being on the deck. The condo was clean ; well stocked; super comfortable beds; great showers and the decor in every room was elegant yet had a Zen feeling. The furniture was incredibly comfortable.The gourmet kitchen would rival anyone's home . Unlike many rentals, the kitchen plates , glasses, appliances ..are high quality and plentiful. You have everything you need and than some. The condo has great lighting fixtures and great light at night or dimmed lights to add to the ambience. Jennifer and Jeff have thought of everything to make things extra special. Having the boardwalk out the front door was great. Dukes restaurant is a short walk . Monk seals were on the beach a couple of times a month. Jennifer was great to work with. She always responded quickly and took care of everything. You couldn't ask for better hosts.The grounds were really clean and well kept. The BBq's were always clean.Usually when you go to the beach you can hardly wait to get out everyday.You could sit on the deck and feel like you were already there as you drink your morning coffee. Jennifer and Jeff's condo is hands down the best VRBO rental I have ever experienced and it rivals many 5 star accommodations .It actually has more!I would recommend this to all of my friends and family.

WOW! What an amazing job J & J have done to make Maui Paradise a warm and inviting home away from home. They have upgraded the unit with an eye to both practical use and beauty. We enjoyed Maui Paradise so much we did not want to “waste” time away. The beach is right there in front of you, the complex has nice grills for your use and a sea turtle shows up every afternoon for your viewing pleasure. You can just walk out to snorkel and swim. Or sit on the beach (J & J have provided beach chairs and coolers for your use) and watch the paddle boarders and surfers. The lanai got A LOT of use while we were there; breakfast every morning and sunsets every evening. The only down side I see is that no other rental can live up to Maui Paradise! Book this unit; you will be smiling your entire stay. Aloha!

So easy to just slip on your bikini or shorts, grab a towel and something to quench your thirst and you're set for the day! A lazy day under the palms ~ now that's living! I hope you had a chance to go to a Luau and experience the authentic Hawaiian food at Aloha Mixed Plate or watch a sunset while sipping a Mai Tai at Merriman's. Pure Heaven!

We were three adults who stayed here for two wonderful weeks. Jennifer was very good to work with and alleviated my fears of renting through an owner directly. She always answered emails and addressed any problems or questions quickly and pleasantly. The condo was clean, well organized and had everything we could have asked for and more. I am very particular about cleanliness and this condo was VERY clean compared to some five star hotels we have visited. The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil and cooking item we could have needed (not that I cooked on vacation). The quality of the finishes were top notch. The counter area has two chairs for a quick morning breakfast. The dining table between the counter seating area and living room has four chairs, so six can sit and eat comfortably. The master bedroom held a comfy, CLEAN king sized bed and still left plenty of room for two large Asian inspired bedside tables. The built-ins had more than enough room for our clothes and personal items. The stacked washer/dryer unit is in the master bedroom behind full sized mirror doors. It doesn’t hold much at once, but that is common for a stacked unit. The large walk-in shower is built for two. The separate shower and toilet area also has a cabinet for storage. The rear bedroom (island view) was quiet and comfortable. It has a large walk-in shower and dressing area with sink and storage for personal items. Storage under the bench in the rear bedroom held extra sheets and blankets. Floor to ceiling windows provide breath taking views. The side window between the kitchen and dining area provides a full view of the pool area. The walls are a dark green but there is no lack of light in this condo. Well placed track/recessed lighting and natural light from the floor to ceiling windows give this condo a bright airy feel. The unit is ocean front and has full floor to ceiling windows. There appeared to be mostly adults staying here. We felt very safe here, even walking at night. The grounds are quiet, well maintained, clean and there is ample free parking space. There is a grocery store right across the street. The only thing I would change about the property would be to make it non-smoking (the actual unit was non-smoking). We would not hesitate to stay here again. You can see my photos of this unit on Flickr. We had a great vacation! Your condo is beautiful! Every detail is luxurious and perfect. The grounds are beautifully maintained too. We used the BBQ and ate dinner by the pool one night. I took a walk down the beach and realized Mahana was the only building with condos right next to the beach. And thank you for the email right before we arrived with directions and restaurant and activity recommendations. I kept that email with me and referred to it often while we were there. The only problem I had was leaving :) I didn't want to go home. We can't wait to go back.

This condo made my first visit to Maui a dream come true. It was not only my first visit to Maui, but also my first experience with VRBO. I must say I was very nervous with handing over so much money to an unknown entity, however, all communication with Jennifer beforehand eased my mind. Once we arrived onsite, we could not believe our eyes. The property is furnished beautifully with no detail left un-noticed. The property is meticulously maintained; from the pool to the hot tub to the grills. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking. If you are looking for first class accomodation at an affordable price, look no further. We enjoyed every minute and would highly recommend this condo to any and everyone.

Mom & Dad, Thank you so much for this amazing vacation you so generously let us enjoy! We went on a Maui Excursion on a small motorized raft for a snorkeling/whale watching adventure. Probably the BEST thing we did...other than just pure relaxation under the sun! Spent quality time enjoying Lahaina, and enjoyed the best happy hour special at Aloha Mixed Plate! It had been awhile since my last trip to this fabulous condo, I almost forgot how gorgeous it is -- the decor is elegant yet warm, and the few times I sat down, I remembered how comfy that huge couch is! And the view -- amazing. It's very obvious that you take pride in your home away from home, and we were so lucky to have stayed there. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation! Thank you!! :)

Thank you so very much for this wonderful place. The decoration of the unit and the view from it wowed us immediately and for every second during our stay! We brought our parents from China to come here for vacation and we are all impressed by the spectacular view. My Mum composed a poem and approximately, it means: We view out from this serene unit right above the ocean, seeing the palm trees dancing. During the day, the water and the sky blend together and at the sunset, the golden flight spills to every sight. While sleeping soundly accompanied by the wave, what can you ask for more in your life?

What an amazing place this is! The view from 301 is spectacular-we enjoyed so many great hours on the lanai. The proximity to so many other wonderful opportunities made this location a real gem. There is no shortage of things to do around here--even for a couple expecting a baby! For those who don't know already or are using a guide book that is even a year old we suggest going to Duke's for a meal. The food is fantastic and the location even better - you can walk down the beach path faster than driving there! Mama's Fish House outside of Paia is, of course, worth writing home about every time. We'd also be remiss if we didn't mention the great snorkeling opportunities just steps away from the Mahana. Again, thanks so very much! Mahalo!

Jones Family, We enjoyed your condo very much. It's really decorated very pretty. We felt so lucky to have that balcony. We think it's the best and prettiest of all! We enjoyed eating our meals there and are sad to leave, because we know we can't get anything better. We liked how everything went with the Hawaiian theme type. We though that was creative. Dear Jennifer & Jeff, Thank you so much for the "heavenly" vacation. Stephen's graduation gift was so much better than he anticipated. We crammed way too much into 7 days but we created tons of memories! The trip to Hana, the volcano, surfing lessons, snorkeling at Molokini, the Luau, Warren & Annabelle's Lahaina shopping, the black beach, a side trip to Honolulu & Pearl Harbor. We need to go home so that we can rest. Your home is truly beautiful and we did enjoy many sunsets. We were blessed with seeing a whale this late in the year! OK, I'm going to save you a lot of time. We spent a month in spring 2008 in Maui and walked all the available condo properties from north Wailea to Kapalua. This is the best of the condo complexes by owners available. A number are 60's and 70's complexes that are just so tired. Some of the complexes looked nice on the internet, not so nice when you walk them. Read the reviews on Mahana. Look at the VRBO pictures and be assured that it's a lot nicer than they show. In the photos it looks a bit dark, it isn’t. It’s rich and luxurious but it just doesn't show. The living room has windows on three sides for a view that surrounds you. Amazing furnishings and detail, every square inch. It's a corner unit with windows on the ocean and side toward the pool. It's the right condo complex, the right unit with the right owners. If it's available just stop here, it's the one. After you stay in #301 anything else will seem a distant second. As an extra bonus we never had to reserve a pool lounge and never once heard “Marco Polo”

February 7th-16th 2009: Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo! Everything about Mahana #301 feels brand new...from the mattresses, to the updated remodel. Love the colors, lighting, furniture and kitchen. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Tons of Humpback whales, loads of breaching, pectoral fin slaps and more calves than we can count. Absolutely the BEST! Pacific Whale Foundation was a great whale watching endeavor (3 times). I highly recommend them. Restaurant recommendations in Lahaina... ***Lahaina Grill-the best dinner place, a little spendy but worth it. ***Gerards-also a little "high-end," but good classic French food. ***Lahaina Fish Company-on the water & delicious. January 31-February 7, 2009: In AWE!! Having cabins on Lakes ourselves, we were impressed to say the very least!! Your condo is absolutely gorgeous! Very well cared for and was a great place for Jeff & Michelle Jung & Bill & Sherri Weber to call home. Even tho we were only here a short while we have decided to call this our "Home away from Home." We looked thru everything and were unable to find a cooler. If a collapseable cooler was available it would be a nice option. We are looking forward to coming back to stay at your condo again. December 2008: As soon as we walked into the condo we knew we were going to enjoy a wonderful vacation. Waking up each morning to a gorgeous ocean view was such a treat. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen...it was used almost every night! :) The guys loved BBQ-ing down by the pool while the girls got the rest of the dinner ready. Lucas slept like a baby :) each night in his comfortable Pak-n-Play. Thank you for all that you did to accommodate him. Grammie loved sticking Lucas' toes in the surf & sand for his first time! What a wonderful way to spend our first vacation in Hawaii! Wake every morning to a great view & rainbow. The week went by way too fast with all of the activities. Sept. 13-20, 2008: What an absolutely beautiful condo! It has everything we could want & more. The views are awesome, the beds are comfortable & the furnishings are beautiful. Everything is so new! We had a wonderful time. We did the sunrise bike ride down Haleakala, went to two luaus, did the Kapalua zip-line, the road to Hana, Ulelena, the drive North around the West Maui Mts. We loved it all-we were very busy! We aso noticed how great the water pressure is which is important with four people here. We would definitely recommend Mahana 301! 301 Mahana is a wonderful condo with an excellent view of the ocean, Lanai, and Molokai. We enjoyed watching the whales, sea lion, and school of spinning dolphins from the living room. Whales breaching and sometimes swimming by within 200 yards of shore. Food: Very good take out at the strip mall with the fish store that someone else commented on. We loved the view and hamburgers at Kimo's in Lahina. The Lahina Grill was a wonderful dining experience. The best was Mama's Fish House in Pia'a. Expensive ($35 entrees at lunch), but a worthwhile adventure. We really enjoyed our visit.

The Norcross family from Maryland had a great vacation in Maui! We celebrated our 20th anniversary with our two daughters - it was very special for us. Your condo made us feel right at home, and of course the non-stop view was a treat every day. We enjoyed snorkeling at many near-by beaches, as well as a fun filled trip to Molokini. Our favorite restaurants were The Gazebo - great location, nice people, fresh food, happy, friendly place; and Bubba Gumps - fun atmosphere, happy friendly people, good food, large portions. Aloha ! I really enjoyed my stay here at this beautiful condo! This is my first time to Maui or even in Hawaii. We stayed for a whole week and had an awesome time. I got to spend my 15th birthday here and it was awesome. We went snorkling, shopping, surfing, hiking, I got my hair braided and we also went to a Luau. I wish we could have stayed longer, but our stay was pretty sweet - not gonna lie. We are thinking about coming back real soon! MAHALO!

"We stayed at the Mahana room 301 in March 2006 and can't say enough about the place. We have always stayed on the South side in Kihei and wanted to try the other side of the island with an ocean front property. The view is absolutely spectacular. We spent hours watching the whales from the lanai. There is a grocery store 1/2 mile from the condo as is a fresh fish shop about 3/4 of a mile away. The Mahana has a nice pool, bbq grills and friendly service. Room 301 is in excellent condition and is decorated nicely. The only complaint about the place I would have would be the stove inside, which we found to be difficult to work (if you can believe that). Otherwise this condo was spectacular. The Mahana is a bit out of the way, so if you want to have cocktails in Lahaina and take a cab back and forth expect to pay about $30 plus a tip, but if you aren't going to partake and don't mind an easy drive it really is no problem. All in all, the Mahana is worth the money and if you want ocean front, it does NOT get any better than this. P.S. you MUST have a burger at Cheeseburger in Paradise, they are excellent, try Blue Hawaii helicopter rides and for no money, put the top down in your car and keep driving past Kapalua...the views are spectacular."
