This is the ideal vacation home for family reunions, wedding parties, corporate retreats, or several couples/families that just want to get away together. Within a few minutes of our home you can be golfing at Hillcrest Golf Course or cross-country skiing in winter, fishing in the Animas River, hunting for Elk in the surrounding mountains, hiking up Horse Gulch Canyon, or shopping in historic downtown Durango. Dear Denise & Bill, All 10 of us welcomed in 2008 royally in your lovely "Castle on the Hill" with breath taking views. We had a fabulous time skiing downhill and cross country, snow mobiling, playing in the snow, shopping and eating at all the great restaurants in Durango, using the Jacuzzi, playing many games including the wii that we brought from home. Your comfortable mountain retreat felt like home! We have relatives who live here about 20 minutes away to visit who made us also feel right at home in Durango.
