"Terrapin Station" is what we call our beautiful cottage. It is located on a quiet lane only a half mile from the beach and a mile from St. Simon's Village and pier. Our two-story home features three bedrooms, two full baths and a half bath (maximum six person occupancy). The master suite is on the first level. Other features include a fireplace, wood floors, patio with barbecue grill in large backyard with privacy fence, and well appointed kitchen. Shaded by a magnificent oak canopy, you can relax on the wrap around porches with rocking chairs and a glider to while away the afternoon.

All the furnishings for the home were purchased new. The kitchen is very well appointed with a large pot for steaming shrimp or crabs. The main room has a double height ceiling with twin ceiling fans and windows all around. We leave books for you to read and have a selection of games and puzzles for your family to enjoy. The local restaurants are varied and wonderful. We hope you enjoy your stay at Terrapin Station!

My family and I just returned from a week on St. Simons. The house was wonderful--just like the photos. It is on a quiet side street, but still very close to the Village and East Beach. I loved reading on the rockers on the porch, the beds were very comfortable, and it was great to have a washer and dryer. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need--we cooked complete meals and a couple of special desserts. If you want to eat out, we recommend Iguana's for good food and plenty of it--we ate there three times! The best shrimp on the island. We had a wonderful Fall Break!

I loved this house! My girlfriends and I have been coming to St. Simon's every summer for years but this is the first time we stayed here. It was amazing! The master bedroom is spacious with doors that open onto the wraparound porch, the 2 bedrooms upstairs are comfortable and charming, the kitchen was clean and easy to use, the living room has an incredible power of luring you to a perfect afternoon nap. There is a good 5-10 minute walk to the beach, but it's just as close to the shops on the pier, so location is pretty great--if all you're doing is laying on the beach and drinking at Brogran's or Iguana's, you barely need a car! The girls and I will definitely be staying here again, can't wait!

This was a home away from home experience and exceeded our expectations. The vacation house was so convenient to the village shops, restaurants, pier and beach. We were able to ride bikes much of our time on the island. Cooking dinners in the kitchen was especially fun because of the open floor plan. The kitchen is well stocked with all that we needed to prepare some wonderful meals. This is a great vacation home and we will definitely return.

St. Simons is a wonderful place for a wedding and this house was a perfect place for the groomsmen to stay. It was accurately described in the listing - very clean and well-maintained. I talked to the owner before the wedding and she was very helpful. It's a central location close to the beach and to the village. Love this house! It's charming!

We just arrived back home yesterday from St Simons Island. This is one of the most comfortable places we have ever stayed. It was clean, very well stocked, comfortable bedding, and set in a quiet and lovely neighborhood. We loved the wrap around porch. We drank our coffee and visited while the children played and rode bikes. It is so handy to the village and the pier. We would recommend this property to anyone who is searching for a wonderful family vacation. It is affordable, clean, and so comfortable! Thank you for sharing with us!

This is a special place. The house is beautifully decorated yet comfortable in a beachy chic kind of way (whites, blues, pastels, arty touches). Perfect for a family with kids, or two couples. The master bedroom is particularly nice (and large) with its own bathroom and porch access. After a day at the beach, it was great to re-enter the climate controlled house! The kitchen and living room share an open, high-ceilinged space with windows and french doors--this made it easy and pleasant to chat while cooking. We drove or biked to East beach, just a few minutes away. Good value for the money, sparkling clean. Our favorites on St. Simons: fine dining at Coastal Kitchen, fried pickles and salads at Gnat's landing, drinks on East beach at sunset, kayaking, fishing at the pier, private tour at Sapelo Island with J.C., St. Simon's friendly residents.
