I took a niece and nephew to this location, as they wanted a "secluded house in the mountains with no neighbors and with wildlife". This was a homerun. The house was perfectly decorated and equipped and very clean. It had more than you could want. We had a great time just hanging out, as well as touring the park and Whitefish mountain. The best for us was having two bears show up on the property. It was facinating watching them from the comfort of the house! To Sue and Greg, thank you so much for making your "slice of heaven" available for some of the rest of us to enjoy. God bless. Dear friends traveled from the East to celebrate a special birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the lodge and found it to have every convenience possible. We wanted to enjoy the less popular part of Glacier and all the comforts of home. We were all delighted with the many amenities, wonderful views, and excellent condition of the lodge. We highly recommend this for your stay in and around the Polebridge area. And Sue and Greg are helpful hosts who have forgotten nothing we missed.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great stay at your house. What a great place and really well decorated. We always rent houses when we travel and and try to treat the house like it was ours, especially a great house like yours.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Despite the cool wet weather during our stay at Lupine Meadows, we still greatly enjoyed our first week: cooking good meals, enjoying the fireplace, being cozy on the couch and chairs reading+/or listening to music. It's a wonderful, well appointed comfortable place, as nice as any Northern MN or Lake Superior vacation home I've seen! If Time and Life allows, we'll be happy to come back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I finally found a vacation hideaway where my husband cannot be interrupted by work business on his cell phone, or through email. It was wonderful! We recently spent 5 nights in the cabin and had a wonderful time experiencing all that the Glacier area has to offer. We enjoyed hiking at nearby Bowman Lake in the park and around the cabin, and took a couple fishing and picnicking trips down in the meadow (a short 10 minute drive from the cabin). Our family enjoyed kayaking on Bowman as we hiked around the side. The cabin is only about 7 miles from the Polebridge entrance to Glacier so we could pop in for the day, but have a comfortable, private place to come home to at night. Dinnertime was always highlighted by who could spot the most deer and ground squirrels scurrying across the back meadow! No bears ever made an appearance, but that gives us something to come back for in the future! We also enjoyed the many baked goods that the Polebridge Mercantile had to offer, but definitely should have done more hikes to compensate for all the cookies and bear claws we ate! There was also wireless internet available for a quick check on what the rest of the world was up to. We both enjoyed having such a warm and "homey" place to stay that just invited you to snuggle up in front of a warm fire to read, or curl up in front of one of the windows to spot the various wildlife. It was a much needed "escape from reality" vacation, with all the comforts of home!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We've stayed at Lupine Meadows Lodge twice-once in early July several years ago,and again this past May, (2010). Both times we enjoyed the beautiful cabin, spectacular views of Glacier Nat'l Park, and the many recreational choices. Red Meadow Lake was great fishing for grayling, Bowman and Kintla Lakes were perfect for canoeing/kayaking. The Flathead River provided good fly fishing, and whitewater rafting. Many hiking trails are available, both close to the lodge, and in Glacier Park. A trip to the West Glacier entrance is recommended, both for the beautiful scenery, and McDonald Lake and Lodge. If time permits, driving Going to the Sun Highway to see more of the park, is well worth your time. If you're looking for a peaceful, total getaway vacation, that includes many activity choices, take a look at Lupine Lodge. You won't be disappointed. This vacation cabin was an unbelievable experience! We listened to wolves and coyotes howl at night and watched deer and black bears in the backyard (not too close to the cabin, so don't worry about bad wildlife encounters). The cabin was incredibly comfortable. No one would ever guess you were "off the grid" except that you will see millions of stars and bask in a peaceful quietness. We were able to "lose" our cell phones, business computers and let everyone know we were unreachable (there is a phone in the cabin for emergencies). I don't know that we have ever had such a relaxing and peaceful vacation. Everything you need is at the cabin, including firewood for a wonderful quiet, romantic evening. Even in this remote location, there are fabulous pastries at the Polebridge Mercantile and delicious meals at the Northern Lights Saloon. It was an unforgetable, once in a lifetime (although we will make it more than once) experience. Sue is wonderful. We still stay in touch.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This home was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Seclusion, raw beauty, and peace. We rented last summer for my RNR and I cannot even accurately put into words how uplifting the whole experience was. Sue and Greg are wonderful to deal with, the home is beautiful with a one of a kind setting, and you don't have to travel anywhere to enjoy wildlife. My first morning there I was fortunate enough to hear the wolves. I will be back this August and have been counting down the days since last year's trip ended! Sue and I have stayed in touch and she has been kind enough to share pictures and stories with me. There's not enough stars on the rating chart to give this home what it deserves, or the *great* customer service. I can't wait to return!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent our evenings in front of the fireplace playing cribbage and gin. What a beautiful cabin! Leave the bathroom window open at night and you may hear the wolves.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The peace and solitude of Lupine Meadow Lodge is balm to the soul and senses. We spotted a black wolf one evening coming across the meadow toward us. It was a magnificent black with silver underneath. A little while later a second wolf a light buff color came into view.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

As a former B & B inkeeper I can appreciate everything you've done to make Lupine Meadow Lodge a lovely home away from home "mountain top experience." The decor, amenities, hiking, dining and views were all a real treat.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
