As the Mother of the Bride, I can tell you I was stressed about renting a home during our stay on Coronado Island for our daughters wedding...well, the home was perfect in so many ways. There was plenty of room for us, the Bride to be and her bridesmaids. The house location is beautiful across from the golf course and close to The Hotel Del Coronado where we had gatherings for the wedding. The house has everything you can think of and more. Perfect for entertaining with plenty of room inside and outside, comfortable, beautiful, and close to everything! The owner makes you feel at home with the Welcome Package and has the house ready on arrival. I cannot say enough about our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us during the month of September.

We traveled to Coronado with our family this summer - including six adults and two children. It was a wonderful house for children and adults! The home is spacious and beautifully decorated. Our children loved the fenced in backyard; the toys, games, and books available; and the DVD players in the living room and bedrooms! If we traveled to Coronado again, we would definitely want to stay here again! We highly recommend it!

We just returned from staying 5 days at this rental. We loved it!! The house is very nice, and the owner has thought of everything!! Anything you should need is right here. The house is beautiful inside, and has a great location, right across from the golf course. We also loved sitting out back on the nice patio! Thanks for the great stay!!

Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home with us for our out of town wedding guests! This house was large enough to accomodate my family without anyone feeling cramped. We were able to host a pre-wedding dinner for our out of town guests allowing everyone to get to know each other. Recommend future guests stop by the house and check out what it has before heading to the store. The house has a large selection of books, beach towels, and lots of left overs from previous guests - including condiments, plastic cutlery, paper plates. Thank you again! PS - sorry we missed putting the garbage cans out on trash day Friday. Friday was our wedding day.

My family of 10, including 4 children, stayed here during Spring Break in March. The house is very comfortable and functional. Lovely sitting rooms. Spacious kitchen and dining areas. The children loved playing in the backyard. Very close to the San Diego Zoo, Seaworld and about 30 minutes to Legoland. We did them all and had a wonderful time.

I have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old and we met our family (7 others) at the Coronado property for a week's stay. Though I had packed all of the usual kid necessities, I didn't need HALF of what we brought. Present for our use at the condo: high chair, ample sippy cups, kid utensils, plates, TONS of toys and books, outdoor toys, sandbox, beach toys. We brought our own baby gate to prevent any wandering up the stairs but other than that, it was virtually kidproof and kid FUN. As for the adults, everything you need to cook substantial meals in - including condiments, oil, cookware, spices, etc. Plenty of towels and extra bedding. And plenty of space for multiple people to either share or be in their own space. Also, the location on Coronado was perfect. Just over the bridge (and 5 min tops) to EVERYTHING we were there to see - Balboa Park, Old Town, Seaport Village, Coronado, Beach - even the airport. Brian, the owner, provides a great welcome packet too detailing everything. He answered EVERY question before and after promptly and we got our deposit returned quickly and as expected. The home itself looks overlooks the golf course and is situated to easily access everything. I cannot recommend the place or the owner more highly.
Owner response:Delighted you had a nice stay! Having a family of four children myself, I try to keep our vacation home outfitted with everything that will keep kids of all ages fully occupied and taken care of including toys, books, DVDs, beach gear, high chair, booster seat, stroller, utensils and sippy cups, and a private and double gated backyard with large sandbox! Plenty for adults too including seven bikes, games, tennis rackets, and a couple sets of golf clubs!

Thank you very much for the use of your beautiful house. We found the house to be very accommodating to our needs. The location is perfect for all sorts of activities. The kids especially loved the park by the bay. I liked the walk on Ocean Blvd. Coronado definitely has one of the best beaches I have ever been to. The house is so close in proximity to the Convention center. In fact, just a short walk from the house you could take a short ferry ride over to Seaport Village. We hosted a dinner party there for our friends, they were very impressed with the flow of the house and the amenities that came with it. Thank you Brian. We definitely will be calling you if we get the opportunity to come back to Coronado.
Owner response:Thanks, as you mention this is an ideal home and location for Family Reunions and for kids of all ages! Large flowing floorplan great for dinner parties inside and out. And plenty of toys, books, DVDs, games and puzzles to keep the children and teens entertained. Not to mention lots of beach gear and bikes too, as well as a stroller, port-a-crib, high chair, stool, and booster seat!

We spent a marvelous week with extended family at this golf course view home in Coronado calif. It comes complete with all the trimmings for a great vacation, including bikes, beach equipment and all the needs for entertaining guests. We highly recommend this superb home!
Owner response:Thanks, a total of seven bikes including men's and women's beach cruisers, touring bikes and a racer are available for your biking pleasure! Coronado is a biker's paradise, all shops in the village and beaches/parks all quickly accessible. For more serious bicyclists, our vacation home is right on the Glorietta Blvd bike path that circles San Diego Bay. An excellent bike ride is a 20 mile pop down the Silver Strand to Imperial Beach and back!

This property was absolutely beautiful. We had four families all stay here on vacation and their was plenty of room to accomodate all of us and all of the children. The beach was only a mile away and we had everything we needed at our fingertips. There were beach towels, chairs, balls, sand castle materials, boogie boards, everything you need for a fun day at the beach and you did not have to rent it, like if you were staying in a hotel. If you enjoy walking, running or biking, this is the place to do it. Every morning at about 6am I was out running and it was a great time to meet all of the neighbors because everyone was out moving and groovin. It is a very peaceful and quaint place to vacation. The owner was very easy to work with and responded quickly to all of my questions. We had a wonderful time and will definately be staying again in the future. I will be recommending this property to all of my friends and family, in fact we did have some family come over to the property one night and they were staying in a hotel (which mind you cost them more per night than we did staying in the house splitting it up), they have kids and they felt like the kids were always right there, nagging at each other and loud. They were upset that they did not think to rent out this home before we did. They will be sure to next time.
Owner response:Delighted that you and your family had a nice stay. As you mentioned, it is much more economical for two families to stay here than a hotel. Plus you have the added flexibility, comfort and convenience of home. Not to mention saving on meals for kids!

The listing description is not very accurate (IT IS ACTUALLY NICER THAN THE DESCRIPTION AND PICTURES PROVIDED!!!) Very clean, modern and well maintained home across from a beautiful golf course with views of the Coronado bay bridge and only a couple of minute drive from great beaches. The owner is very quick to respond to any questions or concerns and is extremely polite. I recommend this property to anyone looking to vacation on Coronado. No matter if you are hosting a dinner party, just having a relaxing vacation with family or friends, this is the house you want to rent. You are only a $10 taxi ride from Downtown San Diego's Gaslamp district, $20 cab ride to the airport or old town. You will not be disappointed with your stay if you choose this house.
Owner response:To my recent "Happy Traveler" guests...thanks so much for the very kind and positive remarks!! In addition to the excellent location across from the golf course and close proximity to the city and beach, I agree that the photos and description online do not do the property justice. We used a fabulous interior designer to help us craft the layout and functionality of the home and patio, which is ideal for a large party or intimate family gathering. I only wish I did not have to work so much and could spend more time at the vacation home myself...well, someday!! Enjoy!!

For a week our family of 12-14 had a wonderful time in this home with its great location - across from the golf course and walking distance to the beach - and all of the home's amenities including beach towels and bikes. The owner was very helpful in suggesting restaurants for us and making sure everything was in running order. The kitchen has everything we needed and the dining room table could accomodate all of us. We would definitely return.
Owner response:Thanks for the positive comment, Jeanne. One of the nicest features about the home is its proximity right across the street from the Coronado Municipal Golf Course. In addition to the green space and spectacular view from the front of the home, you are literally a par five walk from the home to the club house. Green fees are a very reasonable $30 walk & $46 ride Mon - Fri...and $35 walk & $51 ride on weekends & holidays. And except for prime time on the weekends, walk ons are a breeze! A couple extra sets of clubs at the home top off this convenient amenity!

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful home for a week with our two small boys (ages 1.5 and 2.5). We all had a great time! The home was beautifully decorated and stocked with lots of toys and books for the boys. The home is in a very nice area and we enjoyed playing in the backyard and walking with the boys in the neighborhood. It is also close to both Sea World and the Zoo as well as the beach. We look forward to staying again in the future!
Owner response:Thanks for the nice note, Stephanie. As a Dad to four children myself (two teens, one third grader and a pre-schooler) we have designed and outfitted the home with the family in mind -- large and comfortable with something for everyone! Lots of books, toys, games, beach gear, and a big, private backyard with large patio & eating area and playbox for the kiddies, as well as BBQ grills (one gas, one charcoal) and fireplace!. Crib, high chair and stepping stools for the wee ones. Each room in the home has its own HDTV & DVD player -- a total of six in all, desks, with wireless internet access throughout to stay connected. Seven bikes (beach cruisers and racers), two sets of golf clubs, tennis rackets and croquet as well as jogging stroller round out the ensemble for this vacation get away!

We had a great time staying at the house and it had everything we needed. We rented the house as a place for my family to stay for my wedding weekend. The listing and the pictures were very accurate but the place looks even better in person. The kitchen is wonderful for a large group and has multiple sinks and lots of counter space. Brian was very responsive to any questions that we had and was a pleasure to deal with. My parents are already talking about coming back next year. The house is in a great location and only a quick walk to the Hotel Del and Orange Avenue.
Owner response:Delighted that Kate and her family enjoyed their stay! A very close friend who is a top interior designer from San Francisco helped us with the home layout, colors and fabrics, to make it functional/comfortable for family and large groups, yet also stylish and swank! The hub of the home is of course the large recently remodeled designer kitchen, with lots of black granite counter space, numerous hardwood maple cabinets, three sinks and three fridges for food, beverages and wine, making it an ideal venue for parties, family reunions and group events! Central location is convenient to village, beach, golf course and downtown. We offer a 10% discount to returning renters or their referrals!

I stayed at this property with two other coworkers for nearly 6 months and we enjoyed every moment we spent there. The location allowed us to walk or bike anywhere on Coronado and the ferry allowed us to visit downtown San Diego without the need to drive. The house was nicely furnished, had a well equipped kitchen, there were HDTVs everywhere, the garage was full of everything you need to enjoy a sunny a day, and the internet was easily accessible for the rare day when it did rain. It was as clean and new looking and feeling as it appears in all the pictures on this site. We did not have a lot of people staying at the house but we had a super bowl party for everyone from our work and easily entertained 25+ adults with plenty of seating and space to set out food and drinks. Brian was a wonderful owner and made sure all of our needs were met. He was quick to respond if we had any questions or concerns and the rental assistant Maureen was very polite and helpful when we first arrived at the house.
Owner response:Delighted that this long-term stay worked out for Matt and his Navy co-workers for this 6 month temporary assignment...which provided hotel convenience, comforts and privacy of a home at an affordable price within DoD per diem rates. Worked with his administrative offices to ensure receipts/lease provided for travel reimbursement.

This is a great property in Coronado. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked through the front door as the property more than met our expectations from reading the listing description. It is well appointed with up-to-date furniture, large screen TVs in all bedrooms, and a large kitchen (three sinks, refrig, bev frig & wine frig). All four bedrooms have king and queen beds plus two have day-sleepers. The master bedroom is large with a large walk-in closet and large bath. Living there for three days was very comfortable and we truly hated to leave, especially with the pleasant San Diego weather, joggers running by and a good looking golf course across the street (didn't have time to play, however). We hosted 2 pre-wedding events and brunch the day after the wedding. Everyone had a wonderful time and credited it to the location and the amenities of the house.

We used the property as a staging area for our son's wedding that took place on the naval base. As such, we held a party for a group of 60 out-of-state guests, but the property could handle a much larger group if necessary. The design is very conducive to entertaining with free flow from the front entrance, through the kitchen and into the backyard, which can easily accomodate 5-6 large banquet tables for seating. An outside speaker made the party that much more enjoyable. During our contacts, the owner was very friendly and helpful and provided all information needed to satisfy our curiosity about the property. We would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a family or group getaway. The photo of the front of the property in the listing is a little deceiving because the interior will simply blow you away, as it did us upon walking through the front door.

We stayed at this luxurious home for 9 days. Our daughter was married on Coronado and this was our home base for pre and post wedding activities. This was a lovely and spacious home for the bride and bridesmaids to gather and prepare for the wedding. This home was also ideal for entertaining our numerous out of town guests. We hosted a day after gathering for 40 people and the first floor great room was perfect for serving and seating. The kitchen is definitely high end and every amenity was provided. The backyard patio accommodated a group of visitors as well. The seating throughout the home is plentiful and very comfortable. With all the excitement and activities of the week, it was wonderful to have such a well-appointed and comfortable home in which to relax and unwind. We had 5 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kids enjoyed all the toys and books, and the big screen TVs were a big hit too! Everything needed to enjoy the spectacular Coronado beaches was provided: beach wagon and chairs, boogie boards, even sand toys for the kids. The bicycles were a fun and easy way to navigate Coronado and enjoy all it has to offer. The views from the home are great, and the location is perfect for easy access to the bridge, the beaches, and the business district. The owner was very friendly and prompt to respond to our questions before our arrival, and also provided a comprehensive welcome aboard packet so we would feel right at home. There was plenty of Coronado and San Diego visitor information in the house as well. We truly feel that we had the total Coronado experience, and staying at this wonderful home was a big part of that! This home was perfect in every way. We would absolutely stay here again. We are hoping for an annual visit to relive the good times we enjoyed here!

This is a spacious, nicely furnished, nicely decorated, and well equiped home. Above all, it is a comfortable home, more so because of the air conditioning. Many if not most Coronado homes for rent don't have it. They will tell you it's not needed. Don't believe them. The home is located in an upscale, quiet neighborhood, where the streets are not lined with parked cars like in some other Coronado neighborhoods. The location is very convenient to San Diego, and less so to Orange Avenue and the beach. However, we walked to both many times. Brian is great to work with. We were very pleased with our experience and highly recommend it.

Our son was married on Coronado Island,in April 2009. Many of our guests came to CA from back east and the travel/lodging element was huge. We decided to rent a home to serve as "marriage central" for brunches, cookouts, and just hanging out. We were completely delirious about our good fortune in finding Mr. Cowan's property. It was gorgeous, huge, pristine, fun, well equipped, and worthy of such a special time in our lives. We enjoyed the entire week and would consider visiting again to stay in this incredibly beautiful and comfortable home, even before we visit to celebrate the birth of our grandchildren!

This is a great place to stay: spacious, comfortable, convenient, even luxurious. My wife and I and our two teenaged daughters stayed for a week in January. The island is beautiful and entirely walkable, though bikes are available in the garage. I recommend walking to beach, catch rays for a while, then have lunch at the Del. There are many other excellent restaurants on island. I even golfed at the ocean-side golf course, right across the street! No trouble getting on with one-day's notice. As well being as a very quick drive away from downtown SD, we took the convenient island ferry and had a great time. We also took the kids ocean kayaking in La Jolla and horseback riding in Bonita, each just 20 minutes away. I was really amazed how easy it was to get around in the whole San Diego area, all from an ideal base on Coronado. Finally, check our Mr. P's Irish Pub for a jar of Guinness, and don't forget to thank the soldiers for their service.

Quick and easy access to the bridge back to San Diego. We would have loved to have stayed longer. There’s plenty of room for entertaining too. The owner is very professional and gracious. My friends and I had an amazing time in Coronado, much of which was due to this beautiful home. I had to put the trip together for 12 of us just a few days before our arrival. The owner was a pleasure to work with and sympathized with the hassles of organizing a trip for so many in such a short amount of time. Everything was the way the owner described, if not better, and we all agreed that it was one of our best vacations ever. The house was immaculate, the kitchen fully equipped, and the view we had of the golf course was a beauty to wake up to. The house is a short walk from the golf course, which I recommend as well, that we were able to play at thanks to the owner leaving two sets of clubs for us to use. Not even a day passed after the trip before our whole group was having withdrawal symptoms from leaving the house and the island. We are all looking forward to coming back next year and will definitely be staying at this beautiful home.

We enjoyed staying in this home very much. It was an easy walk to all of the activity of the Coronado attractions. We would recommend a stay at this home.

Just stayed at this wonderful home. We had 8 people sleeping and had plenty of room for all. We had a party after my daughter's graduation at the home and had a wonderful time. Well stocked and great amenities throughout. Would definitely rent this gem again.

We enjoyed immensely our week at this Coronado home. We were attending a wedding in the area, and the home was perfect for our family of 8. It is in a lovely, quiet, and very pristine neighborhood, great for walking or biking. There is easy vehicle access to the bridge to San Diego, and a short walk to the Ferry -- perfect for getting to the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego for fun shops, and great eateries. The house was equipped with all necessities, and has a great layout. The newly updated kitchen has a large dining/living room connected to one end, with another smaller dining area and large family room connected to the other end, opening out to a very private back yard. With no doors separating the inside spaces, it really is a nice large open living space on the first floor. The owner was extremely professional to work with when confirming our plans, and we could not have asked for more. This was our first time in Coronado and San Diego, but we will surely return and would not hesitate to stay at this home again.

We had a great stay in this home. My husband had a conference at the Del and it was minutes away. The home was perfect for our young family with many ammenities (crib, high chair, sand box and on demmand cartoons!) that made our stay very comfortable. Beautiful home, beautifully furnished, beautiful location. You won't be dissapointed. We would come again.

The house in Coronado was an exceptional find. I had a family reuion there and everyone loved it! We had a dinner for 14 one night with plenty of room for everyone and had a ball discovering all of the great places on beautiful Coronado Island. The ferry to San Diego was great. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I andall our children and grandchildren had a wonderful time at the house and in Coronado! The house was very clean, very well furnished for large family gatherings. We loved walking to the parks, downtown Coronado and to the ferry landing, just to name a few beautiful areas on Coronado Island. The house was perfect for cooking large meals, playing games with our family, just relaxing, reading and being together.

Our stay in Coronado couldn't have been better, and it was in large part due to the accommodations. This home was perfect for us...as we were traveling with 3 children. The finishes are all high end, the home is spacious with a large renovated kitchen, large comfortable rooms, very nice furniture, and an AWESOME location, particularly for those inclined to unwind and go for a stroll or jog...across the street from the golf course, nestled in a very nice community, great proximity to the city, and easy access to the highway as well as everything on the island. This home is ideal for an extended stay. The owner was also very friendly and helpful, and he has first rate help. The one morning his contractor came by the house to finish a small scheduled project, I was a little concerned about having the kids around. As it turns out, he was one of the nicest, most professional contractors I have ever met. He was well-spoken, personable, respectful...and again, friendly. I was terribly impressed all the way around. Rent with confidence; you will not be disappointed.

We have visited this house for the past 2 summers and scheduled for June of 2008. It is a perfect house for family and friends. Plenty of room for our family with two young children and friends. Great backyard with 10' privacy fence for quiet mornings to read and cocktails and grilling in the evening. Quiet neighbors and right on the Coronado Muni golf course. Close proximity to dining, beach, city, etc. House has recently updated kitchen with all amenities and is large enough to accomodate all.
