Sunny Mountain House on Dollar Hill. Lakeside of North Lake Blvd. with lake views from living room and master. Forested views from back of house with several acres of conservancy land. Walking distance (5-10 minutes) to Skylandia Beach and Park. One of the best beaches in Tahoe with pier, fine sand, southern exposure and picnic benches with BBQ pits on the bluff.
The North Lake bike trail starts two blocks from the house. Ride to Squaw Valley via the Truckee River Bike Trail, Tahoe City or Tahoma and Sugar Pine State Park. North Lake Mountain Biking easy access at Tahoe XC near by. If boating is your thing the Coast Guard pier with ramp is less then 0.5 miles from the house. Close to Squaw, Alpine, Homewood, Northstar and Diamond Peak.
This is a nice roomy house (1800 square feet) that is great for two families with kids or small groups. Generous size kitchen and large dining room table that seats 8. You can get around by bus or bike.

Why the Owner Chose Tahoe City
Tahoe City is the best location in Tahoe. The Dollar Point and Skylandia Park shoreline face south looking back on the west shore and Tahoma. The beach has fine sand and full sun year round. The location does not get as much snow as the west shore in the winter and has more daylight. The location is close enough to Tahoe City that you avoid the summer traffic on Hwy 89 and the winter traffic on Hwy 28. It is also a reasonable distance along the north shore as far as the Nevada State Line. You will find that you want access to Tahoe City for events, shopping and services. It is a short drive to town.
The Unique Benefits of this Mountain House
The House has a nice view of the lake. Pictures never do it justice. In the summer the lake is a mosaic of blues and the breeze buffs the lake. The house is on the lakeside of the main road. This makes for a relatively easy walk down to the park and beach. We make the walk a couple of times a day with our dogs. The beach is beautiful especially early in the morning or in the evening. At night in the hot tub you can gaze at the stars and look at the lights on the West Shore. After a day at the lake it is still with you.

We had a wonderful stay at the Tahoe Mountain House. The cabin was spacious, clean, and had a wonderful view. We also enjoyed the hot tub and fire place, as well as the close proximity to skiing! We definitely hope the Tahoe Mountain House is available for our now *annual* ski vacation!

We absolutely loved our stay at your beautiful Tahoe City home. Loved the curb appeal, the heavily wooded property, the nice fun sledding hill in the backyard, the high vaulted, exposed beam ceiling, the gas fireplace, the spacious master bedroom suite and the redwood deck w/ relaxing hot tub. It was a wonderful escape. We skiied nearby at the local ski resorts and dined in Tahoe City and King's Beach. The lockbox and organized instructions were very helpful.

We had a great time. The house was great. We had fun walking to the beach and hanging out. We were so glad for the hot tub to sooth our tired bodies. Lunch at the famous "Rosie's" in town was wonderful and we were not disappointed. Thanks for a comfortable house to stay in. Hope we will be back soon.
