Lovely Creek! Quiet Location & Very Clean Cabin

Guest: Tammy V. (Winter Garden, Florida)
Date of Stay: 03/28/12 Review Submitted: 04/02/12

Our family decided to take a last minute trip for Spring Break and came across this cabin. Our two daughters loved the creek - looking for special rocks and they even found a couple crawfish to observe! The set-up is nice for two couples or a small family with the two bedroom areas. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you need for cooking. The cabin is very clean. A good selection of CD's for listening. Great grill, ambience, hot tub and perfect cabin for just relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.

Location, Location, Location

Date of Stay: 02/14/12 Review Submitted: 03/06/12

This is the first rental after five years of visiting the north GA area where we will make a return visit. Serenity is true to its name. The cabin is clean and well maintained, but the location is superb. The AT is a 15 minute drive from the cabin, but the owner provides maps and all the information you need to do local hikes and walks without getting in the car. The town of Ellijay and Blue Ridge provide many tasty choices and don't forget the ice cream at Mr P's in Ellijay! If you don't want to leave the cabin, you will enjoy the listening to the stream from the deck; walk or sit by the stream or have a hot tub some evening. This cabin offers options. Have a cabin your way.

Beautiful cabin for R&R

Guest: Susan S. (Canton, Georgia)
Date of Stay: 01/20/12 Review Submitted: 01/26/12

The cabin is absolutely beautiful. It is off the beaten path, but reasonably close to restaurants and shopping. Although it rained our entire stay here, my husband and I were able to enjoy a quiet weekend away from all of the hustle and bustle of every day life! Molly is an awesome host. Her home had everything you would need including a folder full of restaurant choices and local activities! We look forward to returning with our son for some hiking and going to the apple orchards, weather permitting ;). Thanks again Molly! Your cabin is perfect!

My husband and I were looking for a nice location for a relaxing getaway before the holidays. We were so happy we chose this cabin! It is absolutely lovely and perfectly located in the mountains. The creek runs right behind the cabin and is so nice to just sit and listen to. We had a wonderful time and were able to go to Amicalola Falls for nice hiking trails. We would certainly return to this cabin if looking for another getaway. The owner is great at communicating with those staying and making sure everything is great for those on vacation.

Luxury and Serenity on the Creek

Date of Stay: 12/02/11 Review Submitted: 12/06/11

"Serenity on the Creek"...The name couldn't have said it any better! Molly has designed a beautiful cabin. She has made it feel like a definite home away from home. The cabin is in excellent condition, and Molly has furnished it with everything you can possibly think of needing on vacation. The grounds are just inviting you to explore the area. Molly has worked hard to make peaceful respites along the creek and hiking trails. My husband and I enjoyed being able to spend a secluded vacation with no time clocks to punch, places to be, things to do, etc. We enjoyed the cabin so much that we hope to be able to come back next year! Thank you, Molly for the thought and effort you put in to making Serenity on the Creek feel like home!!!

Great Thanksgiving!

Guest: Katherine C.
Date of Stay: 11/20/11 Review Submitted: 11/29/11

We stayed at Serentity by the Creek during the week of Thanksgiving this year and absolutely loved it. It was easy to get to (the driveway looks worse than it is!), very clean, secluded and quiet. We loved having a fire in the fire pit, walking along the creek and just sitting on the porch. Great cabin for families or couples. We will be back!

The Perfect Place

Guest: James T.
Date of Stay: 10/23/11 Review Submitted: 11/02/11

My wife and I have been going to the Georgia/North Carolina mountains every year for decades. We have stayed in a variety of cabins; some good, and some not so good. Each year I would spend hours looking for that perfect place to stay. A few years back, we found Serenity on the Creek. Without a doubt, this is by far our favorite place to go. If you're looking for a quiet secluded getaway, peaceful tranquilty, and total relaxation, Serenity on the Creek is where you want to be. The cabin was well designed with meticulous attention to detail. It's very clean, maintained, and has all the amenities you need. The web site and all the pictures included are precise and accurate. The owners will go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable vacation. We just returned home and I can't wait to go back there again. Jim and Beth Winter Haven, Florida

The pictures of the cabin listing are just a glimpse of the experience we enjoyed staying in the mountains. The property was beautiful and meticulously maintained both inside and out. Molly and her daughter were extremely helpful with answering any questions we had. We really enjoyed the Apple Festival, but most of all we loved exploring the terrain through hiking and biking the trails. The trees changing colors in the fall was spectacular..We already have reserved our spot for next year.

Secluded Comfort

Guest: Ellis L.
Date of Stay: 08/17/11 Review Submitted: 10/18/11

My wife and I wanted somewhere QUIET to spend our anniversary. This is it! While you truly are out in the countryside, if a 20-minute drive to town is not a hardship, you won't be disappointed! This place is clean, quiet, convenient and comfortable. It is totally modern and well-equipped. There is NO NOISE! It doesn't get more private than this property! The woods are cool, and have that fresh, aromatic scent that I find enjoyable. The hummingbirds are actually entertaining, and I'm not an avid bird-watcher. The owner is prompt, gracious and easy to work with. The rather steep driveway is a little unnerving (don't try it the first time in the dark, like I did). But if you're careful, it's no problem. I would enthusiastically recommend staying here if you seek a quiet, private, yet convenient, comfortable vacation.

My family and I just had a wonderful trip to the cabin. My 7yr old son had a great time going for adventures down the creek and then warming up in the hot tub afterward. When we went out on day trips, he would ask to go back to "the treehouse in the woods". The rental was easy and Molly was very helpful. We really had a great time at this beutiful place.

A Perfect Escape

Guest: James F.
Date of Stay: 06/29/11 Review Submitted: 07/07/11

My wife and I were looking for a place to spend a week and get away from everything. After hours of research, we chose this cabin. We're glad we did. The owner, Molly, was the perfect hostess. She was not obtrusive at all, but was always available to us if we had questions and was extremely helpful in every way. She even went as far as mailing us a cap and belt we forgot when we left! The fact that Molly actually lives close by made a big difference. The cabin itself was immaculate. The previous reviews are right on with regards to the floorplan, architecture, and level of detail. Molly and her husband did a brilliant job. It really felt like we were staying at a HOME and not just a vacation rental. Everything we needed was there. We could have made it the whole week without ever leaving, though we did drive into town a couple of times (to visit the amazing R&A Orchards and to see the Ellijay July 4th Parade). The cabin was extremely private. It was like staying in a state park. If you want to spend time away from people, away from stress, and away from the everyday problems of life, this is the place you want to stay.

Serenity - PLUS!

Guest: Tom C. (Winter Park, Florida)
Date of Stay: 06/26/11 Review Submitted: 06/30/11

Rarely do we find a vacation spot that exceeds our expectations. In fact, we had long ago resigned ouselves that "good enough" was "good enough." Then we came across Serenity, booked it and made the drive from Florida with our daughter. An hour and a half northeast of Atlanta, the setting is rivalled only by an incredible cabin nestled on the mountainside overlooking a babbling creek. From the kitchen stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils (even an ice cream scoop!) to comfortable beds with high quality linens, everything has been thought of. It's clean, it's comfortable, it's gorgeous. We could go on and on and on and on about this amazing cabin - did we mention the DVD player and movies? The CD player and tunes? The washer and dryer? There's plenty (horseback riding, sightseeing, tubing) to do within a 20 to 40 minute drive - or just stay at the cabin and never leave. We were actually hoping for rainstorms just so we could sit on the porch and enjoy the rain. The natural setting is something to be believed. Open the windows and listen to the creek all night. The value of what you receive for the price is amazing and Molly is sincerely interested in making your stay as pleasant as possible. We would recommend Serenity to a couple looking for a romantic getaway, a small family needing two bedrooms, retirees looking for a peaceful relaxing atmosphere or anyone seeking the most incredible mountain retreat on the planet!

My wife & I have been taking vacations for the past several years and renting cabins instead of staying in hotels. We have stayed in some very nice places but "Serenity On The Creek" is by far the most amazing cabin we have found. The secluded peaceful location is perfect and the cabin is so beautiful it's hard to believe that it costs about the same as some run of the mill hotels. The cabin's design and the immaculate condition not only make you feel at home but very fortunate to be able to experience the beautiful natural surroundings in extreme comfort and peace of mind. If you decide to stay at "Serenity On The Creek" you will not regret it and you will never forget it.

Just Perfect

Guest: Sharon D. (Sarasota, Florida)
Date of Stay: 05/25/11 Review Submitted: 06/02/11

I stayed in "Serenity" for a week. From the moment I arrived at the cabin, I felt right at home. It is a warm and inviting cabin with very nice furnishings. Molly has done a great job with the decor. It is luxurious, but warm and comfortable. There are decks on all three levels overlooking the forest and creek below and due to the elevation, you feel you are in a tree house, particularly from the upstairs master deck. I was in desperate need of R&R and got it almost immediately by overlooking the forest and listening to the creek. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub which also faces the creek. Traveling alone, I felt very secure, the location is very secluded and private. You can leave the windows open and enjoy the running creek at night. My husband joined me for the weekend inand it was a perfect cabin for the 2 of us but another couple would have been comfortable in the downstairs suite. I prefer wood floors and ceilings, so I was partial to the top master suite and feel whomever in your traveling party that takes the upper master will have the better bargain, so keep that in mind if you are traveling as two couples. The bottom is great because of it's proximity to the lower deck with hot tub. It has a nice bathroom, kitchen area with small refrigerator and microwave, coffee maker. It just has slightly less of an open feel being the lower lever. It does have an awesome bay window looking out to the forest. All the TV's were in the bedrooms. The main floor living and kitchen is TV FREE! and is a true family area. The kitchen is awesome- Beautifully decorated as is the whole house. You will not be disappointed. We walked in the creek up stream and discovered the most amazing scenery imaginable. We encourage you to do this, bring rubber water shoes, its slippery. There is no fishing here, but plenty nearby. The Cartacay river is just around the corner for fishing and tubing/kayaking. Down stream, you will find an awesome waterfall and be surprised by just how large the property is and how private it is. This is a truly serene place. Rejuvenation and relaxation are assured. Molly was available anytime and maintains the property beautifully. I recommend this cabin for 2 people with kids, 2 couples or even one single traveler. I recommend Ingles over Food Lion. The BBQ place in downtown Elijay next to the Blue Door Cafe is good. Make sure you buy ALL your groceries on your way. Once you are here, you won't want to leave. Two Thumbs Up! Sharon & Rob Davies

A wonderful getaway!

This is an amazing cabin, and it's obvious the owner had paid clear attention to the many potential needs of guests, especially the little things, like walking sticks, a wonderful flower garden, and an excellent movie library. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for peace and relaxation, and who enjoys the outdoors. Our top 10 list for this cabin: 1) Proximity to a beautiful creek that's perfect for a plunge on a hot afternoon. 2) Sun-filled deck amongst the trees...green and aromatic after a rain. 3) Surrounded by an incredible diversity of plants and wildlife. 4) A real, fully-equipped kitchen! Such a luxury for those of us who love to cook. 5) Soothing hot tub in the midst of an Appalachian forest. 6) Fresh cool air and hearing nothing but the creek, birds, and wind through the trees. 7) Awesome music selection. 8) R & A Orchards just down the road..dried apples, apple butter, sourwood honey, and Vidalia onion mustard. 9) Hiking the RMWA right out the front door. 10) Watching Deliverance...a classic.

A very special place !!

Guest: Mari (Wetumpka, AL)
Date of Stay: 05/04/11 Review Submitted: 05/14/11

I spent three glorious days May 4,5,6 2011 in what I have nicknamed "The Tree House" . From the moment you descend to the parking area you will find yourself in the midsdt of Mother Nature complete with a cascading creek that hums to you day and night. This is a totally private place with no other structures around on any side. Your only company will be who occupies the cabin and the multitude of wildlife and greenery that all becomes part of where you are. The outside is a marvel of design with its angles and total attention to detail which all becomes part of the unique comfort of the cabin. Yes, there are stairs. But, you don't need to have any structured exercise because the stairs provide that in a very pleasurable way. Be prepared to say "OHHHHHH" when you see it for the first time, inside and out. Every inch of the interior is done with intricate structural design, from the beautiful hardwood floors to the tounge and groove walls / ceilings. There are a multitude of carefully placed leaded stain glass windows throughout that allow the sunlight to provide a sense of warmth. Molly has incorporated a unique use of natural wood branches to accent corners, the kitchen island, and, a suspended pot holder tree, as well as the banisters both up to the third floor and down to the first floor. There are beautiful high vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans to circulate the air. The beds in the two Master Suites are wonderful. The Master Suites are a private haven away from the main (second) level of the cabin. Pictures cannot show you the soft comfort and interior beauty, and the complete attention to detail with plush towels and a very well equipped kitchen. The upper suite has a very large shower with glass door. The lower suite has a tub/shower . The hot tub is spa grade with multiple jets that totally take your worries away as you look around and see and feel nothing but complete peace. The cleared walking paths along the length of the creek are a "must do" with a surprise at the end of one. If you are looking for a chill out place, or a totally secluded romantic hide-a-way, come to Molly's Serenity on the Creek "Tree House". Bring food, your fav CD's for the stereo surround sound, clothes, personal toiletries (extra TP & paper towels) and leave the world behind like I did. You won't want to leave.

My wife and I rented this cabin after a week's conference in Atlanta. we visited from the UK and this was our first vist to the South and so we didn't know what to expect. We struck lucky with this place - Molly was a little dubious about a booking from abroad (apparently the UK has a bad reputation for scam bookings). We got over this hurdle and from then all was good. Molly was friendly and welcoming; gthe cabin exceeded our expectations - beautiful, very clean and well appointed. The weather was great and the countryside around was spectacular - the walk up to the top of the mountain from the cabin was really lovely. Good memories of a relaxed and happy visit.

Thank you so much Molly for allowing my boyfriend and i ( and the cockatiel Mango) to relax at your cabin. I have traveled around the United States extensively, and have never crossed a property such as remarkable as yours. We loved the rushing creek in the background(which was much louder than we expected, wonderful) we loved your Bose surround sound audio system and the indoor fire place was fantastic! we had fun shopping at antique stores in Ellijay and Blue Ridge, and attempted to find our way through the trails of Rich Mountain- we decided we are much better aviators than hikers. :) Walkers BBQ was our favorite small town restaurant- along with all of the cafes in downtown Ellijay. This trip all in all inspired my boyfriend and i to have a cabin exactly like yours in the near future. Our friends and family can't wait to book their next vacation- good thing the cabin is perfect year round

What a fantastic place for relaxation, peace and quiet. No hussle bussel. No phones. No traffic. Just the serine and peacefulness of the mountainside picturest views, the sounds of nature with the rolling noises of the bounding creek along side the cabin but with with all the comforts of home and no more than a 30 to 35 minute drive back to civilization of the nearby small cities. There is nothing more rewarding than having your mornig coffee sitting on the balcony overlooking the beauty of nature in which you are surrounded with just the right amount of chill in the air to make you know mother nature is certainly in control. This is really a beautiful cabin. I would highly recommend anyone to visit and find out for yourself. Millie & Mike

Date of Stay: 11/07/10 Review Submitted: 11/15/10

My husband and I stayed for approximately 2 nights. It was our 19th anniversary. Everything was simply perfect. My husband is a big music fan and likes a variety of music. He absolutely loved the choice of tunes and the sound of the system. We explored the trails and the creek with its small water falls was absolutely gorgeous. All this is within a short walking distance of the cabin. We cooked out on the grill and did alot of sitting on the deck listening to the tunes and the sound of the bubbling creek. I have shown all my friends and anyone with enough time to look at the pictures we made. We were only about 1 hr and 15 min from home but felt like we were in another world in the mountains. Thank you so much for allowing us to visit and enjoy your beautiful cabin. Serenity is the absolute fitting name as the cabin and its surrondings are extremely serene and the picture of mother nature is at its best. We are already trying to plan another trip maybe around the first of the year with another couple who are good friends of ours and love the outdoors. The cabin consists of extremely nice accomodations with any and everything you could think of at your fingertips. Thanks so much, DW & DW

Best Cabin in the Mountains

Date of Stay: 10/14/10 Review Submitted: 10/26/10

We have rented several cabins in the Ellijay area over the years but I have to say that this is the best of the best! The setting is amazing, the cabin is beautiful, cleaned to perfection and furnished with absolutely everything you could ever want or need. The decorating details in this cabin are amazing, expecially the pot rack made of a tree branch. The towels are big and thick, the sheets are very high quality, the kitchen is very well stocked including coffee filters, spices, oil, cleaning products, etc.. There is even a crock-pot! The hot tub is wonderful and so nice to relax in while listening to the creek! Molly met us at the cabin and showed us how everything worked, gave us information about the area and was such a pleasure to deal with. There is a lot of information in the cabin about the area as well. We LOVED the Amicallola Deer Preserve and R&J Orchard of of courst you can't miss Burt's farm. We can't wait to stay in this cabin again.

An unconditional underscore on all the other good reviews. The Apple Festival in Ellijay was great; and Amicola Falls, Dohlonega and the Montaluce winery are all within a very easy drive through beautiful country. Every bit is true and no exaggeration. Only this: this cabin was "too." Too comfortable, too beautiful, too peaceful, too perfect. All EIGHT nights.

Owner response:Thank you Karen! I welcome all new guests to come see for themselves what "Serenity on the Creek" can do for them. Molly

My husband , 14 yr old daughter, and I stayed at Serenity on the Creek and could not have been more pleased. This beautiful home is so clean and no attention to detail has been missed!! Your cares will melt away as you sit on one of three decks that overlook the bustling creek. If you love the sound of water, you will find this place very relaxing. There is a great hot tub for soothing those aching muscles after long hikes. We drove to Amicolola Falls, shopped in Dahlonega, and ate wonderful dinners at the Toccoa River Restaurant, and at Charlies in Ellijay. We highly recommend Serenity on the Creek. Molly is great to work with and very accommodating, even with "last minute" reservations! She knows the area very well and has great suggestions for all of your vacation desires! You will be very pleased with your stay at Serenity on the Creek!

We just got back from our stay at the cabin. We did not want to leave! It was so relaxing, beautiful, and truly amazing weekend. We were 15 minutes from a great kayaking/tubing place, which we went twice. It was fun to go adventure around the creek and hike a little as well. At nights it was great to sleep with the windows open and listen to the creek. It was possibly the best relaxing weekend that I have ever had. Molly (the owner) was great and very nice as well! The house was beautiful and easy to find and completely secluded! Love love loved our stay! We will be back!

It's better than home

So much more than we were expecting. Everything from the granite counter tops to wood floors, designer touches throughout, all top of the line appliances - it was better than home. Very private, with a beautiful deck overlooking the creek below. You can hear the creek in all the rooms. We had a wonderful fire in the woodburning fireplace/stove and also one in the fire pit down by the creek. A gas grill is available for your outdoor cooking pleasure and a stereo with a great seleaction of music or you can bring your own. There are books and board games if you are not into hiking or just want to enjoy a day/night indoors as well as a good selection of movies. We also enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the creek and woods. Molly was great in providing directions for hiking (great trails all over, walked to Nat'l Forest) and local attractions. There were several orchards nearby that we bought fresh produce from and a really neat antique shop also close to Amicolola Falls. This was one of the nicest cabins we have stayed in. The driveway was a bit scary the first time, but a piece of cake thereafter. A real bargain and we will most definitely come back.

I can not say enough about the most pleasant experience I have had staying at a mountain cabin! From the great and timely communication that I had with Molly from the time that we were on the way to the cabing until the phone call upon us leaving. We felt 100% at home in this lovely and extremely relaxing and clutter free cabin. The hot tub is beautifully placed on the lower level porch overlooking the rushing stream below. We loved the fact that it was covered which allowed us to utilize it even in the rain. I was a little apprehensive about there not being a television in the main sitting area downstairs but this proved to be a blessing. We were able to listen to wonderful music and sit by the fire and focus on conversation and each other rather than the distractions of television. We loved the sitting areas in both of the bedrooms which allowed for viewing. I can not say enough about the cabin from the cleanliness, to the simplistic beauty. I loved the fact that it was nestled in a ravine of sorts of down in a valley. It was such a romantic and private location and we have already recommended it to numerous friends as well as started checking our calendars for our return date! We will back very soon and thanks Molly for your generosity!

We had the most wonderful time at Serenity on the Creek! We escaped there as I was making many career decisions and it was the PERFECT place to get away. Molly was wonderful and we especially enjoyed the nice music and book selection. Our puppies had a fabulous time in the creek and they also felt right at home. We will definitely be back- I am checking the calendar!

Molly, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin. We had a great time and the location is perfect. After renting in the Ellijay/Blueridge area for the past several years, we have found a place that we will, without a doubt, return to. The cabin is perfectly equipped and beautifully furnished. Thanks again for your generous hospitality.

Our 2nd time at Serenity On The Creek

Guest: Shawna P. (Buford, GA)
Date of Stay: 11/20/09 Review Submitted: 11/24/09

This is the 2nd time my husband and I have stayed at this wonderful cabin. I think we enjoyed it as much as the 1st time if not more. The recent rains really had the creek rushing over the many small falls. I love the sound of moving water and slept like a baby listening to it. The cabin is equiped with everything you need and is decorated beautifully. It is kept emmaculate. We loved the hot tub and sitting by the campfire gazing at the stars. Aside from hiking around the property, the cabin is located in "apple country" so tasting and buying local apples is a treat. Shopping and restaurants are close enough to be convenient, although we spent most of our time relaxing at the cabin. Molly is wonderful to work with. We will definitely be back for our 3rd visit.

There is really no negative feedback that I can offer you on your lovely property. I'm very squeamish about bugs and spiders, and we appreciated the cleanliness of the decks, especially given that the cabin is basically in the woods. There were no spider webs to even speak of... Our dachshunds loved the location too and the small black one, even followed us into the creek several times, unafraid of the water or the temperature. We had a good laugh about that... The dogs enjoyed the decks and loved watching the birds with us in the mornings while we sipped our coffee. Thanks again for your kind hospitality, and I hope to return for another long weekend, when I've settled into a new job. Kindest regards, Laura Lippuner

Unbelievable!!! We were greeted by the sounds of rushing water when we opened our car doors! What a beautiful sound! The cabin was perfect in every aspect. We could not have needed or wanted anything more!!! Listening to the water rushing down the mountainside at night was so peaceful. We will DEFINITELY be back again and again. It is our new retreat...a renewal of sorts. Only negative was that we wish we could have stayed LONGER!!!Thanks to Molly!

This cabin by far is one of the nicest that we have had the pleasure of staying at. It was so peaceful and relaxing to feel the comforts of the beautiful out doors and the extreemly beautiful furnishings of the interior. The kitchen had everything you could think of. That is important when you are so far away from home. It was our pleasure to stay there and I am sure we will be back in the future. You could not ask for a better private getaway.

Hi Molly, Sophie and I loved our extended vacation on the creek this year, 3 weeks of total being away from it all was bliss. As always the cabin is pristine, totally homelike, and just the place to put aside work, kick back and relax. With my age mandated slowdown has come the search for easier ways to do the interesting things, such as: the parking lot half way up Amicolola Falls with the paved trail right to the perfect photo spot on the falls, or the easy trails in the Asca area, or a wonderfully relaxing day at the Atlanta Botanical Garden topped off by a fabulous lunch at Pappadeaux Seafood. (Double yummy). The fall festival in Dahlonoga was super, the shops are great and it's an easy walking town. Helen was not as I remembered it from 25 years ago, no more high end shops, just t shirts, souveniers and tons of people. Even the food there was mediocre. Ellijay and Blue Ridge are great walking towns, can't remember the name of the little restaurant in Ellijay that is so good, but Danielles Great Eats in Blue Ridge has outdoor dining with a dish of water and a treat for the resident dog. And one hasn't experienced down home Georgia til they go to R&A Orchards and try the fruit, the native veggies and, of course, the fried pies. Their regular pies are awesome also. One of the best things about this cabin and location is that there is something in the area for all ages and all interests. And of course, you Molly, are the ultimate host. In all of my years of traveling this still ranks as my favorite experience in renting a house. I'm already counting the days until Sophie and I can come back up to GA next fall. Til then we wish all who come after/before us a wonderful and happy vacation. Kay - and her little dog Sophie Punta Gorda, FL

Everything we wanted and more

Guest: Russ & Susan (St. Pete, FL)
Date of Stay: 08/22/09 Review Submitted: 08/03/10

We wanted a quiet, peaceful getaway with nice wooded grounds and nearby hiking. This cabin was that and more. The cabin itself was extremely modern, clean, well provisioned, thought out, and comfortable. There was nothing lacking. We enjoyed roaming the 8 acres of grounds, including the creek. There were many excellent nearby hikes. We went to several peaks/overlooks like Brasstown Bald. We enjoyed several nearby state parks. Although we had previously lived and spent a good deal of time in Appalachia, we had never been to that particular area. We liked the area and the nearby small towns much better than some of the big tourist areas. One highlight was going to the historic Swan drive-in theater. Very nostalgic and fun. Next time we might take or rent kayaks for the lakes\rivers in the area. There is a nearby river tubing/kayak outfitter that we just did not have time for. Molly was very helpful during the reservation process and during the stay. She provided tons of info, brochures, menus, and hiking trail info in the cabin. It was the kind of place that one could veg out or do a lot of exploring. We did some of both depending on our whim of the day. In short, all we could ever ask for.

Owner response:I am always willing and happy to help out my guests with their stay at my cabin!

The beautiful setting and thoughtfully appointed cabin provided us with our most relaxing vacation ever! We cannot overemphasize how soothing the rushing creek and lush woods surrounding the cabin were. We also enjoyed the selection of books, movies, music available at the cabin. The hiking opportunities on site and at nearby Springer Mountain allowed us to explore and appreciate the Georgia mountain area with minimal time in the car. Serenity on the Creek is aptly named. Molly was great to work with and is very helpful is suggesting anything and everything there is to do in the area. We have never stayed in a place quite like this one... beautiful, peaceful and so relaxing. You cannot go wrong with renting this property. We plan on returning for another visit in the future!

Serenity on the Creek lived up to its name. I truly felt serene while staying there. The cabin was beautiful and fit its surroundings, comprised of natural woods, stone, marble and stained glass. Every last detail was thought of by the owner so there was not anything needed that was not supplied. We thoroughly recommend this cabin to anyone considering renting it!

Serenity on the Creek is an absolute treasure of a cabin! Beautifully designed, spacious and comfortable, it was a much needed retreat for us. Very secluded and private, but only a short drive to local amenities. If you decide to rent this place, cancel all your other plans in the area and just enjoy the sounds of the creek.

Molly, Our stay at the cabin was absolutely wonderful and just what we needed to unwind from the pressures of daily life. The cabin was beautiful, peaceful and right in the middle of the most beautiful setting possible. The creek provided a wonderfully calming effect both audibly and visually. A few steps into the woods made us feel like we were back in time..so untouched. We enjoyed the local antiquing and the train ride from Blue Ridge. Thanks for a great week...we'll definitely tell our friends! Jan & Lee
