I am part of the "Lori, Fredi, & Friends" group from a review below. We stayed at the XBarH Lodge in October 2009, and it was truly a fantastic trip all around. For most of our stay, we had 10 people in our group, and there was more than enough room for us all...to sleep, hang out, eat, and plenty of bathroom availability, too! :) We had everyone from a "tween" to a few married couples, and a few "singles" on our trip. The rooms were cozy, the bathrooms VERY well stocked with towels, and a washer and dryer right there for our use, if needed. The kitchen was a great feature, since we mainly ate at "home" for most meals. We made dinners, desserts, breakfasts. There were plenty of pans, dishes, utensils, etc. for that. It really was very convenient. We also took advantage one night of the VCR, and had a home-movie night. We had a lot of laughs seeing Lori and some of the others from years back...crazy hairstyles, clothes and all! JC and Michele (the caretakers) were so welcoming, so friendly, and so helpful. They may never know exactly how special they are in my heart (even though I just met them for that one trip), but they are truly kind, sweet people, and they made our stay/trip even more special than we had hoped for. The lodge itself was SPECTACULAR, but the surrounding views/scenery...wow...BREATHTAKING! It was an easy drive to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, and we volunteered and toured Best Friends on several occasions. We even had a sleepover one night with two dogs, Cookie and Crunch, from Best Friends! :) That was very fun, since everyone in our group are animal lovers. And of course, when we were wanting a little canine companionship when our "sleepover dogs" weren't there, we had Jack...a big sweet gentle furbaby to play with and pet. :) We also were close to several other National Parks...Zion and the Grand Canyon, and we visited those places, too. And for closer-to-home activity, we took some nice walks around the property, enjoying the views, the fresh air, the PEACEFULNESS. I could go on and on, but I'll wind down soon. I will say that we have recommended the XBarH Lodge to others, if they ever get out that way. I also am hoping to get back myself in the next year or so. I would definitely say that I doubt you'd be disappointed in this home (or in the cute smaller cabin that they also have on the same property) and I highly recommend it. You can have as relaxed or as busy of a time as you'd like there!!!

I wanted to surprise my husband for our 39th anniversary, so I booked 3 nights at the XbarH after seeing the website and reading the glowing reviews. Our 2 grown children brought their kids & dog, and we brought our dog. Michele & JC were wonderful in accomodating all of our needs, and our entire family enjoyed a relaxing, beautiful weekend. We were pleasantly surprised at the spotlessly clean lodge with very large rooms. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax. A fun game of horseshoes is a favorite memory of us all. There are plenty of games and videos to keep everyone occupied, but there are also plenty of places to cozy up with a book. A quick trip to see Bryce Canyon National Park was magical and Zion National Park is even closer. Needless to say, we will be returning to XbarH. Sarah in Salt Lake City, Utah

I'm sad to be leaving! We had so much to do and see and yet there was a part of me that wanted to just hang out here. Thank you for sharing your lovely lodge - it would be a dream home for me. Next time I do want a fire in the fireplace and a few games of ping pong, so I hope I can carve out more time to stay. My daughter would love this place - hope you get to meet her soon. Special blessings to you both for providing such a place of comfort and peace.

Thank you for your warm and gracious hospitality! Our car broke down nearby and the XbarH Lodge was able to offer us accommodations - along with the 5 rescued dogs we were transporting! They were a huge help in providing a great place to stay and we simply can't say enough about this wonderful experience and this beautiful place. We'd love to return someday, hopefully for a getaway with our families.

What more could anyone possibly ask for? The most gracious, considerate and thoughtful hosts who take care if everything you can think of, a lovely dog & cat contingent, gorgeous lodge & surroundings! This truly is a home away from home. We loved meeting our new friends, JC & Michele, along with Jack, Spike & Butch (their pets). Thanks for helping our dreams come true.
