This central location in the Garden District has everything: historical sites, the beach, St. Helene park, wonderful little "bacari" (cafes)and local markets. It is minutes from the site of the Venice Bienale International Art Exhibition, a world class contemporary fair held every odd year from May-Nov. The St. Helene gardens,are three or four minutes away. Famous St. Mark's Square is a 10-15 minute walk enjoying the Lagoon, St. George's Island and beautiful palaces along the way. One of the benefits of this location is that it is an authentic Venetian neighborhood, not full of tourists, but is still very near all of the important cultural destinations. The apartment is also only 2 vaporetti stops from Lido island, which is Venice's beach.
