Location: Vashon Island, Puget Sound, Washington State, USA (15 min ferry ride from Seattle or Tacoma, SEATAC Airport)
Accommodations: Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4-6)
Be a guest in our newly renovated waterfront cottage on Puget Sound's artsy island, Vashon. Our cabin is mingled with other beach cabins in a very quiet area on Manzanita Beach, the most beautiful, sandy beach on Vashon Island.
Bring your wheeled cooler as our cottage REQUIRES A 100 YARD WALK DOWN A WINDING GRAVEL PATH. It is worth it, however, to experience this amazing setting, with a western exposure. The sun comes up a little later and lasts late into the evening, so prepare to take in a view of the city lights of Tacoma at night and the beautiful Northwest sunsets.
You can walk and explore the sandy beach all day and fish off the bulkhead at night. Wake up in the morning and enjoy your coffee on the deck as you watch the seagulls and listen to the waves.
There is plenty of room in the upper level, which is accessed by a standard stair well. It is carpeted, has a convertible couch (futon style) and a television. This loft space has a small covered deck to enjoy the waterfront views and sound of the waves lapping on the bulkhead at night.
The kitchen is new with all of the needed cookware and utensils, including an espresso machine, microwave, and side-by-side refrigerator with freezer and ice maker. Dishes must be washed by hand, however.
All of our guests have loved this cottage, we are sure you will also enjoy the tranquil and beautiful setting when you come to stay.

We had SUCH a delightful time at your cabin! We'd love to keep in touch with you and "escape" again sometime when it's available... it was so restful and peaceful, and as we live in West Seattle, with ferry time it was two hours door to door, and only 30 minutes of driving! Wow! What a great, painless escape! The others caught 3+ hour naps each day (I'm not a napper), so I got lots of yummy relaxing time to write holiday cards and snuggle by the fire and just zone out admiring the water.. a rare treat being a mom of a 2 year old! Your home is cozy and sweet and just the perfect size for us! You did a really nice job on the remodel: congrats! (You must be so glad that's done!) Thanks again for renting to us! Oh, one wonderful treat was the full moon over the low tide at night! The moon filled the cabin with light, and it was fun to see the tide pulled so far back.. very cool! Smiles, Martha
