A great place to get away

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks over the summer to get away from our regular lives in Baltimore. Staying at the guide house served a the perfect retreat for us. We were able to away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the peaceful lake which is only a few yeards from the house. The swimming, fishing, and relaxing on the dock was outstanding. Richard was a great host who made sure that we comfortable and that we had no shortage of ideas about what to do while we were there.

We had a great week at this cabin. Far away from it all, cozy, and with a great view. The porch kitchen was our favorite spot. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay and feel at home was there for it. Property owner, Richard, was a sweetheart. He was great at making sure we had everything we needed and giving good advice on good spots to spend the day. If you want to get away from it all with no frills beyond the comforts of electricity and running water, this is the spot for you. There is plenty to enjoy within range of a boat or canoe docked on the property. We also were within an easy drive to Baxter SP and the coast.

Nicer people you will not meet. They will bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable. And you don't need a boat catch fish there. You can get 'em right off the dock. Swimming is great there also. A wonderful place to visit. Thanks Richard and Christine. And Stevie says hi!
