My fiance and I had an excellent time staying here. The place was very clean and right on the beach. The beach was beautiful, we saw lots of sea turtle beached right in front of the rental. Neal was very helpful and made out stay wonderful. We wanted to get away from the people when coming to Oahu and this rental was the perfect spot. The drive to everything we wanted to do was fairly close, we were about right in the middle of everywhere we wanted to travel to during the day. We did a lot of beachcombing while staying here and found a lot of nice little treasures. My fiance even found a small glass ball on the beach right down the beach from this rental. If we ever travel to Oahu again, we will definitely book this rental again. We could not have asked for a better vacation and Neal's rental made it even more special. I would highly recommend this place to any couples traveling to Oahu.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our stay in the North Shore was awesome! The bungalow was equipped with everything we needed and Neal and Suzanne were exceptional hosts. We saw turtles, whales, big waves and lots more. Had a couple of bike experiences and Neal was so gracious to help us out! :) Couldn't have asked for more - we will be back for sure to this very special place.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

my wife & I spent over 2 weeks in paridise. What you see is what you get Having read the other reviews I can only agree with everything that has been said. There is not one bad thing that can be said. Whilst we were there we watched turtles on the beach. Long walks with empty beaches. Yes you can go into town for dinner but why leave the best view in your own back yard. To Sue & Neil I can only thank for letting us into your peace of heven. Cheers Pete & DonnaRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

I do not think there are enough glowing words to describe this setting, the owners, and the experience of staying at this beautiful place. The photos display the beauty, but the waves, the sun, the sound of the breezes cannot be captured except by being there. Walking the beach, which is right in there in your backyard is incredible. It is so private and so stunning that it cannot be captured in words. The apartment decor says welcome and has so many beautiful touches that one feels at home, but yet in a land away that captures the essence of Hawaii. Neal and Suzanne are there to help with your every need and yet, are not in any way intrusive of your privacy. They did so many extra things like guiding us to the farmer's market and providing special treats that will delight. I only wish we could have stayed longer Some places we visited which were lovely and/or interesting were the Waialua Farmer's Market, the Dillingham Train ride (steam locomotive), the Heiau in Waimea, and the Waimea Valley Park. Of course just going to the beaches and watching the waves is awesome. We had pineapple hamburgers at a restaurant in town, I think it was Kaikanu, which was great. We had coconut shrimp which was outstanding in a small mall in .Kalkua. It is near the post office in that town. The food was outstanding. All is all, this was among the best experience we have ever had and one of the loveliest and most inviting locations. You WILL NOT be disappointed.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This property fit the bill perfectly in more ways than one, a cozy well kept studio right at ocean's edge close to Waimea Bay and to the historic Haleiwa Town. The owners, Neal and Suzanne were the perfect hosts, taking us to the farmer's market on our first day to pick up some of the local delacies. The market also was home to one of the original sugar mills on the island, no longer in operation but containing other unique shops for gifts to bring home to the relatives. Thanks to Neal we also had access to his ocean kayaks and snorkeling equipment and a great hammock in the back yard for just laying out and relaxing. The view of the ocean down the beach each way was one of the most scenic I've ever experienced and it's now what I use for my screen saver. The are locally great restaurants right in downtown Haleiwa, two great Mexican restaurants and a Thai food restaurant as well as some small coffee shops, a market and a place that cooks chicken on an open fired pit.....delicioso! Plenty of local spots to swim, Shark's Bay is great for snorkeling and Waimae Bay is for the adventurous with a bit of a tough shore break. Directly accross from Waimea Bay is the beautiful park containing Waimea Falls a must see to visit and maybe take a swim, might want to bring a pair of water shoes for the rocks as you get into the pond. If surfing's your game you have Sunset Beach and the Banzai Pipeline all within a short drive from the house....oh yeah, you will need some wheels to get around. If you want to be a tourist the Dole plantation is another short drive or you can take the 45 minute drive to downtown Waikiki and hang out with the other 98% of the island. Neal and Suzanne offer a truly great value and are wonderful hosts. If you're considering Hawaii...the real Hawaii, this is the place to visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Great place to relax at the beach. Owners are available to assist when needed and invisible when you desire privacy. Large back yard with hammock, grass and steps to pristine beach, perfect for long walks, kayaking, turtle gazing, swimming etc. Close to Haleiwa for conveniences. Space is clean, well equipped with all you need and always within the sound of surf. Big Mahalo to owners for sharing their place in Paradise.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My spouse and I rented this studio for one week and we absolutely loved it. We were looking for a self-contained apartment close to the beach where we could live like a local, enjoy the north shore and we couldn't have asked for better quality accomodations or hosts. Neal and Sue were so helpful but left us alone to explore and enjoy the area. It was nice to know they were just upstairs for any questions but the studio is well-maintained inside and out, with everything you might need in the kitchen, as well as some fresh herbs outside, too! We rarely had to bug them and were made to feel very welcome here. Location-wise, you can't get any closer to the beach then this! There is plenty to do - long beach walks, swim with turtles, surf, splash, etc - so we were never bored. We used some of the beach and water equipment available at the house, too. As with most islands, you will need a car to get around to historic Haleiwa town for groceries, and to get to other spots on the island. Otherwise, you have everything you need for a relaxing vacation right here. The location is ideal and we hope to come back again one day!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
