These two rental choices offer a private, seaside location close to the charming Historic Downtown.

The paved path in front of house takes you to the beach and along Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge.

1.) Main house has a sunroom with sofabed and Captain's Loft (queen futon on carpeted floor) in addition to the 3 bedrooms (MBR with King).

2.) Studio Apartment at Bandon Cliff House offers a unique, romantic retreat for couples that is commonly visited to celebrate anniversaries or other special occasions. Situated up above the garage, you have a 360 Degree view of ocean, beach, Table Rock, jetty and glass windows on all sides to take it all in. Circular fireplace in center of room, kitchenette, full bath.

Whole house sleeps up to 14 maximum.

We are half a mile from historic downtown Bandon.

Just two miles away - The internationally acclaimed Bandon Dunes Golf Course offers 54 holes of world class golf and is rated on the list of the top 100 most challenging golf courses in the world.

    • Wood Stove : Wood stove is the primary source of heat in the main house other than baseboard heaters. Wood is provided and use of the stove heats up the entire main house including the upstairs bedrooms.

    • Queen Bed : Two queen beds are in the main house, one in the studio apartment. A 4th queen is a on-the-floor futon in the carpeted Captain's Loft, accessed by a 3 step wall-ladder in the bedroom with the twin beds.
    • Double Bed : In the sunroom, there is a sofabed, however, it is a very bright room with no window coverings so you will be up with the sun! Also there is not much room to walk once it is pulled open. Can always have someone in a sleeping bag just on the sofa in this room. One drawback is that this person needs to walk through one of the other bedrooms to reach the bathrooom. Otherwise, there is a door going outside from the sunroom.

The jetty is located way down on the north end of this beach (nice walk) and the walk down to the beach brings you down at the south end of this beach. You can continue walking to the south by going around the rocky point. Unusual boulder formations right in front of Bandon Cliffhouse.

Why the Owner Chose Bandon

We moved to Ashland, Oregon from California and both my husband and I who had grown up on the California coast decided to invest in a coastal get-away home because we missed the ocean. Not knowing anything about Oregon coastal towns, we explored Oregon and decided on the small town of Bandon because it reminded us so much of a typical seaside town in Maine! The quaint historic downtown has a good selection of restaurants and a wonderful fish market with daily fresh catch; a port with boats coming and going; proximity to many fun family activities nearby (beach walks, beach caves, hiking trails a short drive away; jetty to walk out on and to fish from, crab from, dune-buggy rentals 45 minutes away), etc, etc. -too many pluses to mention all and we are still discovering all there is nearby. AND, we found this perfectly located beachhouse with unbeatable views and right next to one of the few paths down to the beach which is super important.

The Unique Benefits of this House

This house is the perfect location, close to town and yet right on the cliffside with the asphalted path to the beach right in front of our house. Beautiful sunsets to watch and unique formations of large boulders in front plus famous Table Rock is directly in front of our living room window which is home to many interesting birds and seals and subsequently, is an ideal bird-watching location from inside the house! We have a secluded, wind-free side porch which is so nice to sit in for morning coffee or lunch.

We stayed 30 days at the Bandon Cliff House last year. Two of our grown children and one of our grandsons was able to join us. The home was wonderful, relaxing, quiet and exactly what the Doctor ordered....literally! We fished, walked the beach, read, ate in town, cooked fresh seafood and just achieved tranquility at the home. We took over a thousand photos that will keep refreshing our mind for our next visit. Highly recommended!!!!! Call for a referal anytime...........Skyler
