Newly constructed in the summer of 2006, Lee's Camp is a spacious cabin in the woods, in the small resort town of Cashiers.
Cashiers is just over an hour drive from Asheville, North Carolina, home of the Biltmore Estate.
Set on 3/4 of an acre, within walking distance to town, a hiking trail is just out the front door. Cashiers is about a 20 minute drive to Highlands and a ten minute drive to beautiful Lake Glenville, for fishing and boating. Boat rentals are available through Signal Ridge Marina. Winter skiing, snow boarding and tubing are available 3 miles away in Sapphire Valley.
The living room has ample comfortable seating, including an antique empire sofa, which we rescued and restored to it's original condition, 3 chairs and ottomans, a wood burning fireplace and plasma TV. A queen bedroom has an additional TV and shares a private hallway to the bathroom, with granite counter vanity and whirlpool tub.
The large kitchen, with granite counter tops is equipped to entertain a crowd. The dining table expands to seat 10.
Upstairs offers a sleeping loft with 2 twin beds, a full bath and shower with built in seat, as well as a king bedroom, overlooking the natural pond. The bathroom has the same materials, porcelain tile floor, granite counter vanity as the downstairs bath.
Rocking chairs and a dining table on the wide front porch, provide the perfect spot for relaxing and reading.
Ingles grocery store is located less than 1/4 mile away. Cashiers is a dry village, so any alcoholic beverages you may want should be carried in or you can purchase beer, wine and liquor in Highlands.
