Three generations came for the weekend to commemorate a 70th, 35th, 5th and 1st birthday and we couldn’t have found a better spot to celebrate. The layout is open and comfortable, with enough room to congregate or spread out. The kitchen was well stocked and there were amenities for all ages (including bins and boxes of toys, movies, books, games for all ages and even useful gear for shucking oysters). We spent the weekend relaxing, laughing, cooking and playing and can’t wait to come back next year to celebrate some other milestone birthdays. Thank you for making it such a wonderful stay for all involved (even the pickiest among us)!

We wanted to get back to you to say a heartfelt thank you from all of us for letting us stay at Fox Lodge this past weekend. The lodge is beautiful and spotless, with thoughtful touches throughout. We all really liked the layout of the house that worked nicely with our large group being able to spread out comfortably yet be near enough to talk. We loved the kitchen and created some memorable gourmet meals with a lot of us who like to cook being able to participate. Everyone was very comfortable and our surprise party was a fabulous, memorable affair. We all wished for more time together there, and we hope to come back again.

The Fox Lodge is one of those homes that you wish was your own to share with your family, loved ones, or a loved one..... The Fox Lodge is both warm and sophisticated - and not far from the "city" of San Francisco. The house is perfect for friends, families, or just two friends to spend a weeklong vacation or romantic get-a-way. There is little that has not been considered at Fox Lodge. I couldn't help but think about how I might next come back to the house with more friends or family. I have worked in the interior design world for 12_+ years have been fortunate to travel the world over, I hope to escape to the Point Reyes Coast Again at the Fox Lodge !!

This home is gorgeous, luxurious, very spacious and relaxing. We came here for a weekend for a reunion with friends. The home was better than we imaged, the pictures don't do it justice. It has magnificent views, and invites you to relax. We lucked out with great weather and were happy to stay in the sun near the cabin (avoiding the fog by the coast). We will definitely be planning another trip here next year.
Owner response:Thank you for sharing.

We have traveled to many destinations both in and out of the States, Many of the retreats where we vacationed were exactly what they were advertized to be but some were not. The Fox Lodge is in a category of its own. The grounds and especially the home exceeded our expectations and was indeed everything it was professed to be and more. We called the Fox Lodge "elegant" with its upgraded appliances and comfortable furnishings. We loved the great room with the floor to ceiling stone fireplace. The location is ideal and so close to San Francisco but our purpose was to use our time at the Lodge for a quiet getaway; which we did. Next time we are fortunate enough to vacation in Point Reyes, we plan on bringing family with us.

I finally made it to the fabulous Fox Lodge in the Fall of 2008 and have been back several times since. I've always absolutely loved it! It is so beautiful, spacious and warm. Many years of love, happiness and good times here at Fox Lodge.

We have heard so much about Fox Lodge but never expected such a great home. You have made it so warm and inviting and we think of it often back home here in Virginia. Looking forward to our next visit. (Guests since 2008)

We have stayed at Manka's many times in Point Reyes and always loved its rustic, luxury charm. Fox Lodge takes that experience to the next level with an entire lodge that we we had all to ourselves. The antique decor is incredible and the floorplan perfect. Such a unique property. We were spoiled and have been back every year since. Make no mistake, all the modern facilities are here. Fantastic for couples with children - something for everyone. The mushroom hunting just a few minutes away from the property was incredible - we found over 30 types in just under two hours. An idyllic place. Will try to write this place into a future script.

We brought our family of six, 2 adults and 4 grown kids to this house for Christmas last year and found it very comfortable and lovely. Plenty of room for everyone, two wonderful fireplaces and plenty of space to play and just hang out. And the bathtub in the master bathroom was to die for. I spent most late afternoons soaking in the tub and looking out at the trees. Good place for walks, or even swimming in the ocean on Christmas Day. Kitchen is gourmet and has everything you might need. Easy to find and Pt Reyes is a charming town to poke around in. I would definitely stay here again.

I've always loved Point Reyes, but staying at Fox Lodge put it in a whole new light. The house itself is beautiful - full of interesting antiques to look at, but at the same time comfortable and relaxing. The view from the master bedroom alone is worth the stay. And the location is great - easy access to the National Seashore, and a short ride (car or bike) to the great restaurants and cafes of Inverness and Point Reyes Station. I've been to Point Reyes more than twenty times over the last twenty years, and this is without question the nicest place I've stayed in the area.

During the holidays, there is a decorated Christmas tree with rustic ornaments, antique stockings hung by the fireplace and festive holiday decor throughout the common areas. A large selection of music CDs and antique games have also been added. For guests with small children, there are bins chock full of toys, including a full Brio train set (Thomas the Tank Engine), nearly a million Lego pieces, and lots of sports equipment, including a basketball hoop and punching bag.

Our family stayed at Fox Lodge in Aug 2008 as the last part of our Grand Canyon/Las Vegas/California vacation. Fox lodge is situated in a wonderful location and very quiet. I loved the interior of the house especially the master bedroom, which had an amazing view to wake up to and an beautiful en suite bathroom. Everything was included from china and kitchen utensils to bed linen and towels. All we arrived with was our luggage. Point Reyes Station is next to Point Reyes National Park. Close enough to drive to Napa and Sonoma and easy to drive up the coastal roads. The whole family, ages 15 - 51 had a great stay!

We have stayed at Fox Lodge a couple of times over the past year. It is FANTASTIC. Beautifully appointed in every capacity, top of the line everything. The home is large, private and conveniently located near Olema, Pt. Reyes, etc. Everything is minutes away. The beach is 5 minutes away. Long, white sand, beautiful beaches. As Chairman of the largest literary event West of the Mississippi, the San Francisco Bay Area's National Kidney Foundations Authors Luncheon (1500 attendees, gourmet lunch, 6 famous authors speak about their new books each year, co-chairs are Ann Getty and Amy Tan, 2007 will be our 19th consecutive year, this is the PERFECT getaway for writers, aspiring authors, and literary types. The experience will exceed your every expectation. It is fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone, singles, couples, families. It is terrific! Tyler Hofinga, May, 2007.
