Welcome to River's Bend where you can say good bye to stress and hello to tranquility! Our newer home is located on a two acre lot directly on the beautiful Coosawattee River in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Leave the hustle and bustle of your everyday life to come and relax in the beauty of God's creation. Play and fish in the river by day, sing campfire songs around the fire pit under the stars and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the river just outside your door. We know you will love it as much as we do!
There is something for everyone at River's Bend! Outside, you can fish, swim or tube in the river (tubes provided), play a round of horseshoes, roast marshmallows or hotdogs around the fire pit, or relax in the six person hot tub. Inside, you can try your hand at a game of pool, air hockey, foosball,ping pong, or cards/boardgames down in the daylight basement. In the great room you can watch TV or a DVD or curl up with a good book by the fireplace. Upstairs in the loft, you can steal away for some quiet time reading or solving jigsaw puzzles.
There is plenty of room for everyone too! On the main level, are two bedrooms and a full bath. The "River Room" is complete with a queen-sized bed and has french doors leading out to a patio overlooking the river. The "Bear Room" is furnished with a rustic pine queen-sized bedroom suite with a lodge/bear décor. Upstairs, the huge master suite has a king-size bed and an over-sized closet. It also has french doors leading to a private balcony overlooking the river. The master bath is outfitted with two sinks, a jetted tub and a separate shower. All bedrooms have cable TV. In the daylight basement, next to the game room is what we call the "kids den/bunk room". It is the perfect place for the kids to relax/sleep, with two full-size couches (one a queen sleeper) and two sets of sturdy, solid pine bunk-beds. This room is complete with cable TV, DVD/VCR player and full VCR library of kid-appropriate videos. There is a full bath adjacent to this room.
Additional sleeping accommodations are available on a pullout couch in the great room and on two futons in the large loft, providing sleeping arrangements for a total of 18 people. The great room is where everyone gathers with a wide open living, dining, and kitchen area. The living room has two full-size sofas situated around a 37 inch LCD HDTV and a stacked stone fireplace with gas logs. The kitchen is fully stocked and is very nicely appointed with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The gorgeous imported dining table has seating for eight. Two additional persons can dine at the adjacent island/bar. Or you may choose to dine al fresco out on one of the three covered patios listening to the sounds of the river!
Often, we find we can enjoy our stay at River's Bend without ever leaving the house. But there is plenty to do within the neighborhood and nearby. The neighborhood has three pools, tennis courts, and a fishing pond. Nearby, you can rent a boat at the marinas on Carter's Lake or Lake Blue Ridge for fishing, skiing, etc. Horseback riding, white-water rafting, hiking, mountain biking are also available within driving distance. The towns of Ellijay and Blue Ridge have several quaint antique shops and some "chain" stores and several options for dining.
As you can see, River's Bend is the perfect location to spend a long weekend or a week with your extended family or friends. So try it out for a truly special time. You'll find out why we hate to leave life at the River's Bend!

We love to watch the deer in our own yard-can't get that in the city. Love to fish and tube in the river all day. Take day trips to Carter's lake and sporting clay shooting. But by far the best thing to do - RELAX with family and friends.

Wonderful! This cabin and property is amazing. There is everything that you could want. It was so nice to just walk down to the river at the edge of the property and go tubing. We had a wonderful time around the fire pit in the evening. We would love to come back again and again. Thanks for letting us enjoy your beautiful cabin!

Our family is in love with River's Bend. Everyone from adults to kids had an amazing time. We enjoyed the cabin, the river, the deer, the neighborhood and the privacy. Our kid's favorite thing was being able to tube on the river everyday, right from the backyard. We would come back every year!

Absolutely lovely! The perfect spot for a small family reunion. The cabin is beautifully appointed, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen is fabulous! The photos do not do it justice! The kids enjoyed the game room & tubes and the adults particularly liked the hot tub after a full day of nearby whitewater. Close to many activities, sightseeing locations and shopping ( Dahlonega is wonderful & you must try LL Beanery for coffee in Blue Ridge.) The directions seemed intimidating at first, but after the the first day we found it easy to get in and out. The driveway was a bit of a trill the first time down, but was surprizingly easy to get up and down! This was by far our favorite cabin and we hope to return next summer.

This is truly a beautiful cabin! We had a total of 17 people, including children, and had plenty of room here. The kids loved the "bunk room" with all of the videos and video games, ping pong, pool, and air hockey. They kept very busy on the day it rained. Outside, we liked to go hiking and see all of the deer. The guys went fishing down at the river. It was too cold to go tubing, but I'm sure it's beautiful in the summer. This is a vacation our family will remember for years to come!

You will be blow away by this property! The house, with it's rustic charm, is impeccable. The riverfront view provides entertainment,as well as, peace and tranquility. This cabin is great for multiple families or large families, as there are plenty of beds and plenty of fun things to do. We will be back again!!
