(WINTER SPECIAL: 325 PER NIGHT MID-WEEK)Cottage has been newly renovated with new windows, doors, insulation, electrical, and new baths, new kitchen. Antique furnishings, and designer touches, including fine linens and down quilts. The main room features a 10' high real Woodstock artist’s window and dining table that seats up to 12 with two more leaves and chairs. The kitchen is a chefs kitchen! Totally redone, and guess what, the knives even work well! there is even a waffle iron, juicer, blender, baking needs, roasting needs, toaster, many other items ( the floor is warm with the radiant heat too!
this was work of love, and it shows.
The very private and romantic master bedroom has a queen bed, and a great view up the mountain. There is a den with a 27” TV with full cable, including hbo, and a complete stereo, piped through the house and patio. A/C units in three bedrooms. The 4th bedroom has a queen blowup mattress
There is nothing like hanging out in the Living room , getting that roaring fire happening, reading or relaxing, and watching the view from the huge artists window!
Full basement has easy access to the driveway, for dropping skis, bikes etc. I have snow shoes in there, as well the washer/dryer. There is also an eliptical maching and spin bike with the tv/video to watch the spin tape and other exercise tapes. There is a caretaker for any emergencies, and a housekeeper for optional weekly/daily cleanup (maid service not included in rent, extra charge of 150, depending on how many days and people). Dogs are an additional charge of $50. per dog.

- since we are so much land, and everything surrounding us is owned by the state, this makes for a lovely place to jump out and just start hiking. we have a cozy hammock up a bit and its truely is living out of the city! across the way and down about 500 feet is a path that leads to the trails for cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and swimming in the lake at wilson state park

The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
the views in the morning from the masterbedroom bed are so romantic. sometimes one can see the family of deer looking for some berries. while hanging in the hammock, you cant believe what nature passes by! To go swimming in thelake is so refreshing. To just take a quick drive down the road to the Bearsville theater, you cant believe what music shows up there!

We really enjoyed this rustic yet well appointed and comfortably furnished house, which has a wonderful kitchen and a great view. Easily accessible to woodstock and a reasonable distance to hunter (where we skied), we really had a wonderful stay. And, the wireless internet connection was great (unfortunately, i can't live without it). Thanks!

Love Love this cozy house! Made a trip up to Woodstock for a weekend getaway from NYC and couldn't have been more pleased when pulling up the drive. It is one of the best looking homes in the area and inside vintage finds added to the overall charm. The large window in the main room looks out to the snow covered landscape and in warmer months there is a lake within view. Just a quick 4 miles to town where there are many shops, cafes and tie dye to be had. I fell in love with Woodstock and I can't wait to go back! Janna, was most accommodating and let us rent out the home on a "super" last minutes notice. Thank you, Janna!

We just got back from a mid-week stay at this lovely, comfortable house in the woods but convenient to Woodstock and other towns in the Catskills. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. The house is charming, with rustic tree beams and banisters. Beautiful picture windows, great deck, nice layout. We're a family of four and there was plenty of space for everyone. Also, the owner was extremely helpful and keeps a very complete notebook of everything to do in the area, with directions of how to get there. We hope to stay there again some time!
