Great place to stay! Clean, comfortable, and convenient. Fantastic view of beach and clear blue water. We really enjoyed the large balcony. Would recommend to anyone. Would suggest para sailing and the sunset/dolphin cruise. Also 2 thumbs up to the prime rib special at Pandoras only $14.99 on wed and sun. Thanks to Darlene and Barry!

Having spent time in Destin, we are now sold on Okaloosa Island, Summer Place 501. Just as advertised. Great beach view, easy access to/from parking lot, pools and beach. Owners were quick to respond to questions, even at 3am. Thanks again Barry. Summer Place 501 was perfect for us, relaxing, and with enough room for kids. This vacation was everything we had hoped for. Again, thank you. John

We really enjoyed staying at this condo and will certainly recommend to others. The owners were very easy to deal with and sent instructions to us in a timley manner. This was my second time to the Fort Walton area and I would say that this condo was much better than my last one. For those looking to eat out, don't miss Pranzo's. It is just accross the highway. We visited once 2 years ago and once this time, great food.

We stayed in this condo for a week in October 2010. Everything was absolutely WONDERFUL. The condo itself is beautifully decorated and accomodates a lot of different sleeping arrangements. The balcony is massive and overlooks beautiful white sands and turquoise waters...the ocean is RIGHT there...you can sit on the balcony and feel the ocean breeze or listen to the waves crashing!! There are 2 pools and a hot tub right downstairs and just beyond is the little boardwalk that leads to the beach. It was really easy to pop back and forth between the two even with a 5 year old and a 7 year old. We had grandma and grandpa fly in for the week and there was plently of room for us all if we wanted some peace and quiet:) The weather is amazing even in October. We all had the BEST time and will be booking this condo again in the future! Thank you for the perfect vacation!

Great condo! Beautiful, clean, spacious. The view from the large balcony is breathtaking. The owners were wonderful and allowed me to book my trip without much notice- they helped me and my family have a wonderful vacation! Loved the full size washer and dry as well as the perfectly stocked kitchen. The complex itself is very clean, well kept, and updated. Great vacation spot!

We have a condo that has been in my family for years near SandDestin. I will never go anywhere other than Fort Walton Beach Okaloosa Island for now on. It is a hidden paradise! The beaches are much nicer and larger. I love the unit we stayed in at SummerPlace #501. It was my second time staying in #501. The corner unit was great with the huge balcony. I loved the upscale decorating in the condo. It is a perfect location to walk to the Boardwalk with lots of beach excitement and come back to the condo that was laid back. Perfect Mix! You do not need a car..everything is within walking distance. I am planning MY NEXT TRIP ALREADY!

We just got back from the best vacation. Barry and Darlene could not have been any easier to deal with. They were very helpful and contacting them was easy. Summer Place 501 is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We felt as if we could really relax on the balcony. Stores were close by and activities were just a walk away. I will definitely consider staying there next year. We were there with another couple and with 3 children. The washer room came in handy. You have plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. AND THE POOL was a great place to sit and watch our children play. Funny, but the sand was never HOT. Texas beaches are not near as clean. The condo owners have made sure that you will relax and enjoy your trip. Thanks again for the use of your beautiful condo !!!

Our family stayed at this wonderful condo in May 2008. We loved the extra large balcony and being an end unit. It was tastefully decorated and was very clean, it made us fell right at home. We were excited to see dolphins from the balcony several mornings. The pool area was one of the nicest on Okaloosa Island, very large with plenty of seating.Summerplace is very well maintained and was nice to have a security guard at night. This May I was fortunate to stay in this beautiful condo with my family. I have spent at least a week in the area my entire life and have usually stayed at the end of the jetty in Destin because I thought it was nicer beach and a bit off the highway. To my delight this accommadation exceeded all my expectations - the beach area was the nicest I have been to in years. I am always looking for the "lagoon" experience when I travel and while the kids had their days of surf I had two days of perfect conditions. The condo was also exceptional - new, fresh and tastefully decorated. I appreciate the wicker furniture you find in so many of the condos in that area but this decor had the feel of a beach spa. Very well done - the balcolny was a large room into itself and we spent the majority of our meals in that area. Couldn't beat the view from there - it seemed as if we were on the beach just a bit elevated. I loved that we were off the highway but could walk just a few minutes down the beach to be at the action packed pier area. I am in the hotel business and work at one of the top rated resort hotels in the country so my expectations can be a bit unrealistic, in saying that, I have already booked my time at this condo for next spring -

I have spent the past 30+ years staying in Destin, very convinced no other area could compare. Well, I was wrong! First the beaches and the water are just as gorgeous, with baby powder white sand and crystal aqua blue/green water. The new development of the pier and shopping/entertainment area within walking distance by beach or road (yet far enough from noise and distraction of peace and quiet) is great for the evenings or rainy days. There are several eateries close by for all budgets and Destin is just minutes away for great shopping. One of the many wonders to this condo is the short distance from your door to the beach. I believe in exercise, but I can't stand a half of a day hike just to get to the beach in some of those complexes (there's a first class work out facility over looking the water on-site). The unit #501 is my favorite in the building! It is beautiful, modern and fits my 5-Star taste. However, somehow this owner has made it so family friendly (I'm sure it has something to do with the fact she has 5 kids), anyone would feel at home and comfortable while on a fabulous vacation! Have a great time!

Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful condo the week of April 29, 2007. We have visited the area 2-3 times/year for about 10 years and this is one of the best condos we have rented. The condo is beautifully decorated with upscale furnishings and is immaculate. The "huge" balcony was absolutely wonderful and the view incredible. You have gone out of your way to make this a special place to stay. The pools and hot tub were perfect and we especially liked the huge deck area around the pools. We will be back! Our condo at SummerPlace #501 is new on the rental program-we just purchased it from the original owners. My family of 7 just spent Spring Break 2007 there and it was a perfect vacation! The condo is beautifully decorated and is in immaculate condition. We love the corner unit with extra windows offering plenty of light and the view from the oversized balcony is AMAZING!!! The dishes, linens, new mattresses and accessories will make your stay fantastic. We met several people from all over the U.S. that would not stay anywhere else.
