This is your home away from home. A fully furnished condominium for your vacation enjoyment. This super clean, two bedroom ground floor unit has a nautical theme and a beautiful view of Birch Bay and the San Juan Islands. Being that this is our personal vacation property, you will find a warm and inviting atmosphere loaded with many personal extras you won't typically find in a standard rental property.

Birch Bay is located just 6 short miles from the Peach Arch crossing into Canada. Richmond is just 30 miles from the condo and home to the Speed Skating events. Thirty five miles to the north Vancouver is host to the Opening and Closing ceremonies as well as Hockey, Figure Skating, and Short Track Speed Skating. Cypress Mountain, in West Vancouver, is hosting the Snowboarding and Freestyle events and is 55 miles away. You may fly into Seattle International Airport, which is 2 hours to the south, or the Bellingham Airport, which is less than 30 minutes from Birch Bay.
Birch Bay is known for its warm shallow waters, long sandy beaches, and a tide that seems to go out forever. It is also popular for clam digging and crabbing. The Bay is a wonderful spot for a quiet weekend getaway in the off-season, a chance to show your stuff at the New Years Polar Bear Swim, enter a sandcastle building contest, host a family reunion,or just lie on the beach and read a book. It is a favorite place for bicycling with easy navigation and beautiful scenery.
Birch Bay is located just 10 minutes south of the US/Canadian Border and 2 hours north of Seattle. Just 12 miles to the east is the quaint town of Lynden, where berries are grown to ship all over the country, and festivals are celebrated around the harvest time. It is also home to the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds and has wonderful shopping on main street.
Ferndale is located about 10 miles to the south were you can try your luck in the casino. Bellingham is just a few more miles south and has everything from skiing to fishing, and is home to Western Washington University. Vancuver BC is less than 1 hour away, where you can stroll around Stanley Park or shop at Granville Island.
We supply all towels, pillows, blankets, and linens. The condo development offers a club house with indoor heated pool and hot tub, ping pong tables, foosball, racquetball court and tennis courts.
Numerous books and movies available for your reading and viewing pleasure. Condo is equiped with 3 TV's, DVD players, VCR, and stereo.
The waterslide park, go carts, and put-put golf are all within walking distance.

"We would happily recommend this condo to any family. Our kids (5 and 8) were as delighted with it as we were. Everything seemed to have been thought of! Little items that you might not travel with, like sugar and oil, were in the cabinets. When we needed bandaids, they were already there in the bathroom. Maps of the local area were near the phone. Having a washer and dryer was terrific. We had a contest each day on the beach to see who could find the most attractive stones and shells. There were many great blue herons, but also scoters (3 species), harlequin ducks, and wading shorebirds. It was only 15 minutes to Bellingham, where we found the well-stocked natural and organic Food Co-op."

The condo itself is very well decorated and fully equipped with just about anything you can think of. The indoor pool is one of the best we've ever used. It was very clean and surprisingly warm as well. There are many things to do nearby, but we chose to stay planted and enjoy lots of family time playing games, watching movies, swimming, and walking along the beach. Why the Owner Chose Birch Bay
After searching for about 3 years we found Birch Bay. Karen went up for a girls weekend and fell in love with the place. Close to home, with no mountains to cross or ferries to ride, makes this a great weekend getaway.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
There are so many favorits in Birch Bay it's hard to list them all. Tops on the list are the beach activities: crabbing, clamming, building sand castles, walking the beach searching for agates, and watching the sunset over the water. Biking the area is one of Karen's favorites because of the beautiful scenery and easy navigation from Birch Bay to Blaine, Lynden, Ferndale and even Bellingham. The boys favorites include the water park, C Shop, and the Family Fun Center which are all within walking distance.
Favorite rainy day and relaxation activities are swimming in the clubhouse pool and just hanging out in the condo watching movies and playing games.
Owner's Map of Birch Bay
We are a family of 4 which includes 2 boys. Karen is a registered nurse and Mike is in commercial construction. The boys are big time into baseball and we love to play in tournaments in the Blaine/Lynden area so that we can also enjoy Birch Bay at the same time. The ocean is a love of ours and Birch Bay has a great family atmosphere.
