"The Fritz" is a beautiful, mountain home in a wooded neighborhood only ten minutes from skiing at the Winter Park Ski Resort and surrounded by activities that will appeal to all members of your family. Whether you come for the winter ski season or the fabulous weather in the summer and fall, you will feel right at home is this spacious three–level home that will comfortably sleep 24 in beds. Filled with a comfortable mixture of cozy antiques and all the modern conveniences to make you feel right at home. This home is ideal for large families, reunions, church group retreat or any group that needs plenty of room.
This 4200 square foot home is owned and maintained by a large extended family that has been coming to the Winter Park area for over 30 years. We understand what is required for large groups to eat, sleep and to have fun while in Winter Park. We will try to make your stay as comfortable and fun as possible. Since we can’t include everything on this site, we would love to talk to you and answer any questions you may have.

Winter Park is a wonderful area for great winter fun as well as summer activities. We would love to suggest a number of activities your family/friends could do while in Winter Park: activities, travel destinations, dining, nightlife or just enjoying the area. We can also help with travel to and from Winter Park and assist with additional or alternate accommodations if our home is previously reserved.
Payment is by personal check or Paypal. Taxes of 8.9% apply. A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your reservation, with the balance due (including all taxes) 30 days before the scheduled arrival date. Once the 30-day point is reached, the rental fee is non-refundable unless we are able to rebook the property for the dates you had reserved. If rebooked, a prorated refund will be calculated for each day we are able to rebook the property, less a $200 cancellation fee. Trip insurance is recommended for unforeseen cancellations.

I took my family skiing in Winter Park this year over Christmas. What an amazing experience! I have traveled all over the world and this trip ranks right at the top of my list. I was pleasantly surprised of how easy it was to get in and out of the ski resort from the lodge. And I was reassured not being held hostage by the inflated ski resort prices for food, adult beverages and equipment rentals. Your home is very warm and spacious. The quiet, private location provided us with an up close encounter with the local wild life too. My kids won't ever forget watching the fox eat the snacks that we left for her on the front porch. Winter Park is a fantastic family ski resort. The Fritz Lodge is a first class place to stay!

Since late last summer The Fritz Lodge has a new housekeeping service and the place has been very well kept and CLEAN!!! The local management responded within 30 minutes to a broken diswasher call on CHRISTMAST EVE and had it repaired SAME DAY. The place is in great shape and the improvements in booking management has really paid off. THANK YOU!!!!

This is the second time we have used this house and love it, love it, love it!! It works well for our large extended family. The adults all have their own room and we have plenty of room to eat and relax after a good day on the slopes. The owner is great to work with! Plan to use it again when we are in Winter Park/Fraser!!!

We had 6 families and found this house on vrbo and thought it looks great, will work for all of us so we booked. We stayed September 21-25th. When we got to the house, the disappointed started! It looked messy, you knew it hadn't been cleaned very well. We had to clean out the fridge, clean bathrooms and shower not something we should have to do on our vacation!!!!! We had called the owner and he said he would give us some money back and after 2 emails and another phone call to him that he will not return I assume we will get nothing back. The backyard looks a mess (not taken care of at all) and the hot tub never did heat up so we could not use it. It was a huge disappointment and frustrating that people do this to others. Colorado is amazing and will go back again but will never stay here.

Well I would agree with the reviews that this house is beautiful and well equipped. We had a great family reunion and loved being in the house. HOWEVER, the cleaning staff leaves a lot to be desired. When my family (12 of us) arrived the showers were dirty, towels, sheets and other things were dirty and we had to do some cleaning and a load of laundry shortly after arriving. It appeared as if they just straightened up but did not clean. There was a huge spot in the middle of the floor in the basement also. We tried to get a hold of the owner to let him know and never got a response. The reason for my title is the way that (the number that you call to make reservations), was very difficult to work with. In the contract it states that he could not cash the deposit check until you arrive, he cashed it OVER 8 MONTHS before we arrived, and the contract states that he is supposed to return the check within 10 days of your departure. Well, it took me over a month to get the check back and Michael lied multiple times about sending it. I finally got it about 40 days after we left and only because I kept pushing to get it with voicemail from both my Mother and I, emails, calling his partner and text messages. I will tell you that if I had not kept on him, I probably still would not have the deposit money back. Also they advertise that there are DVD's there. None were found. Also the Netflix and other movie type channels that are on the TV do not work at all. So bring your own. Great house, terrible people to deal with. Bummer, I say...

We had a wonderful stay at your lodge, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The scenery was beautiful. The weather was perfect. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. There was even plenty of hot water for every shower for all 27 of us! We loved seeing the fox each evening and at least 9 different hummingbirds. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area as well. Before arriving, we asked a few questions regarding the property and we received a prompt response to everything. Thank you for making this possible and for sharing this magnificent and homey lodge with our family.
