This bright unique house overlooks Pagosa Lake. It is in a quiet location surrounded by pine trees. This is a great house if you are coming skiing this winter. The house is nestled in the woods, you can enjoy the soothing sound of the breeze through the trees. This 2 bedroom house is a delightful and fun. It is a unique house with great artwork and comfortable beds with feather pillows. I can sleep up to 8 people. It is bright and cherry and located on a quiet cul-d-sac above Pagosa lake. It overlooks the lake and is a restful world that you can retreat into. It has lovely balconies for sharing a cup of tea or coffee in the morning. Wave to the hot air balloons or take a ride. The house is a mile from restaurants, shops and a recreation center with pool, hot tub, courts, fitness equipment and classes It is close to golfing, deep powder skiing, cross country skiing, and famous hot springs that people travel from all over the world to experience. This area also offers great hiking, biking, rafting, kayaking, world class trout fishing, and water sports of all kinds, balloon rides and horseback rides. The outdoor activities are endless. We are also close to Mesa Verde National Park, Chama railroad and Durango / Silverton narrow gauge. This charming house will leave you relaxed and wanting to stay longer. The house has a single car garage, cable TV, VCR and DVD, washer and dryer, dishwasher, barbeque, and espresso machine. There is a king bed, queen bed, futon and sleeper couch. If you like the Rocky Mountain air, beautiful aspen and fir forests, you may enjoy this little gem of a house

I was charged to replace a missing picture from walmart. The house was cold upon arrival and took all day to warm up to 65, I had to bring in a space heater! The drive was blocked by plowed snow. otherwise the 3 nights were as promised.
Owner response:There is nothing in the house that is from Walmart as I do not shop at Walmart. It is a lovely house. The customer either destroyed, broke, or took a picture from the house. I charged them $25.00 for the hole they left in the wall and the missing picture. I felt this was a very reasonable generous response. They arrived at a particularly cold time of year and the house in these conditions does take awhile to heat up. Generally it is one to two hours for the house to become comfortable if my lady has not turned on the heat before a guest arrives.

Beautiful drive from Pagosa. The cabin is comfortable and well appointed. Many great walks into the high country. We intend to return for another stay.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.
