I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Art and Kathy for the use of their condo on such short notice. Everything you see in the photo's is even better in person. The condo was wonderfully decorated with a lovely color scheme. All new appliances. The only thing you need to bring is yourself. It was very well equipped. The condo is located just a short drive to the restaurants and shops. We ate out some and also enjoyed using the grills for the times we ate in. The beach was beautiful and the weather warmed up a couple of days for sunbathing on the beach. I really can't say enough about our stay to do it justice, you need to come and see for yourself. Art was very friendly and helpful with everything we asked. He went above and beyond what we expected. This trip was a surprise Christmas and 30th anniversary gift to my wife. We had a blast. Our only regret was having to leave so soon. Thanks again for making this happen. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone. The location and price are unbelieveable!!!!!!!!!!!

Best on Beach not so much

We stayed a week in this condo, upon arrival we found it dirty. I purchased cleaners and cleaned it myself. I emailed the owner pictures of before and after so they would be aware of the job their cleaning service was not doing. The owner told me I should have notified them immediately upon arrival. We had arrived at 10pm the evening prior. My son and myself had both been extremely sick and needed a Clean environment to relax, I was disappointed not to find that. I was also disappointed that the owner didn't offer to refund at the very least the cleaning fee since I left the condo better than I found it. We won't be going back.

Owner response:This guest did indeed send me pictures,although they were small and were dificult to see.This unit is professionaly cleaned 2 or 3 times weekly,and we receive compliments and repeat guest frequently and we were not given the opportunity to check it.If this guest had checked into a hilton or sheraton and found it unsatisfactory,would they call management and allow them to rectify it,or run out and buy cleaning supplies?

My husband and I had a fantastic but short trip to Art and Kathys place! We were so impressed by the complex itself as well as the amenities and layout of their condo! It's worth staying at Sugar Beach just for the 4 pools and the Sugar Shack--which sells hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, candy, and even drinks (beer and some mixed drinks!). They even play music at the pool! We felt like we were in a resort all weekend long!! Art and Kathy have a great attention to detail--they have everything you need as far as pots, pans, dishware, silverware, etc goes. They also have Menus (which we added some to their collection!) and Guides in the condo. The bed is comfortable and we loved how the Master bedroom was upstairs. Their balcony is private so you don't ever feel like you're staying next to anyone. We were truly impressed! Thank you Art and Kathy!!

Excellent people, Excellent food, Awesome attractions!! Very clear directions, immaculate conditions, VERY comfortable bed! We had the BEST vacation either one of us had! Didnt want to come back to Wis. The moment we walked into the condo, after a 20 hr. ride, our mood and energy just exploded with energy and comfort!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CONDO!! Lots of wonderful things to do on and off the property. THE BEACH IS SO CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

I have stayed at Sugar Beach 5 times and each time we have had an awesome stay! I have stayed in the studio and the two bedrooms and they have always been clean and everyone is so helpful. I am planning on coming down this year and can't wait. Highly recommend!

Sugar Beach is located in a low density area of Orange Beach. This means there is more room to spread out on the beach and folks are not stacked up on top of one another. There is a vacant lot next door, that also gives room for folks to spread out along the beach. You are close to the gulf state park and pier and directly across the street from Lartigue's market. I recommend walking across the street and picking up a few pounds of steamed shrimp for a quiet evening at the condo. Great selection of books in the condo to read as well. Great owners, Art went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable.

Great month in Alabama!

It was our first trip in Alabama and we loved the place as well as the people living there. Altough the temperature could have been a little warmer, we enjoyed every minutes of our stay. During the winter months, the place is quiet. Perfect time for long walks on the beach, biking on the trails, no waiting lines in the restaurants, stores or museums. The Sugar Beach complex is very well maintained, super clean, close to everything, the security guards extremely nice and helpfull for first-time vacationers like ourselves. Elevators and carts make the transportation of luggage or grocerie bags a breeze. The unit was well equipped, everything in working order and the owners are very fast to answer any enquiry and nice to deal with. Highly recommended! In the neighbourhood, Pensacola Aviation museum is a must, Dauphin Island with its ferry is fun to visit. The city of Mobile with its lovely architecture and museums is easily accessible. Even a day trip to New Orleans is doable. Absolutely no time to get lonely there.
