  The perfect size for a couple. The unit and property is maintained pretty well and all the employees at the complex are super friendly. The pools are great. The unit was very clean but the cleaning crew may want to take the garbage can outside and wash it a little more often... it was a little smelly from bag leakage. However that was a quick fix with some soap and water. Nice appliances and they all worked fine and plenty of storage for a couple. The view from the balcony was great we spend every evening relaxing watching the waves from there. We didn't want to leave. We will stay at this unit in the future and we highly recommend it. Thank You for a great stay!

  This condo was a perfect place for my much needed time in the sun and sand. It was very clean, quaint, pretty and comfortable. During the day our time mwas spent at the beach, but in the evening, the balcony got our attention and we enjoyed the sunset while listening to the crash of the waves on the shore. Quick and easy meals were fixed in the clean and furnished kitchen so there was no need to spend any time away from the condo going out to eat. Why leave the relaxing atmosphere of the condo to go out into the stress of waiting to be seated at a table in a restaurant? I am putting this condo in my favorites for return visits and telling my friends about it. Not only was the condo very comfortable and clean, but the entire complex was excellent. Sugar Beach has definitely made me rethink the tall high rises condos that pepper the beach front. It is very family oriented and I felt very safe there. I feel totally rejuvenated after my weekend there. Thank you for the wonderful experience and use of your condo.

  This unit needs a deep cleaning. We were immediately turned off by finding long black hairs on the sheets. This unit has not been maintained very well. Numerous items should be addressed: great deal of dust due to furnace filter needing replacement, bathroom fans do not work, iron did not work, electrical issues (GFI in bathroom), washing machine tub was out of balance. We met with the owner. He listened but we didn't feel confident items would be addressed.

  Owner response: Unfortunateley these people are just miserrable souls, I don't say this just because of their review as we always welcome and appreciate comments from our guest, if I may address their complaints,let me start by saying my wife and myself take great pride in our unit,we update our unit on a regular basis. This past year (2012) we added a new central air conditioning unit,a new refrigerator/freezer/ice maker, a new range/hood, dish washer,micro wave, sleeper sofa,deck furniture,new carpeting in the master bedroom and on the stairs, and repainted the entire unit. Our unit had a deep cleaning shortly before their arrival. When they arrived they immediateley compiled a list of things that they did not like,first they complained about the air conditioner filter,I opened the unit and showed them that it was a new filter that was replaced days before their arrival and had zero dust in it,then it was that the iron was not working,I immediatley replaced it,then they wanted us to check an outlet in the bath which i I did, (no problem) Although the washing machine worked it was off balance and is being replaced,these people complained continually and left a 2 page list of things that they did not like. (It was a month of hell) I URGE ANYONE READING THIS TO PLEASE REVIEW OUR OUR REVIEWS FROM PREVIOUS GUEST,TO FORM A MORE ACCURATE DISCRIPTION OF OUR UNIT.....Thank You for reading this...Art and Kathy...owners

  We love this place! Truly it is the best in value. You get a wonderful, clean roomy place to lodge along with a beautiful view of the beach. We saw dolphins every day from the balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped along with seasonings. The new tvs were nice especially the one downstairs with the built-in DVD player. The only down was that the internet didn't work well. We had planned to watch streamed movies from our laptop, but the internet didn't work well enough to handle that. Actually, we could barely use it for checking email. I don't know if it was something happening at that time, but it didn't work well any of the days we were there. We went to a local RedBox rental and got movies instead. Overall, this is the best place. We appreciate the security and the layout of the building along with the pools/beach entry area. My husband and I decided that we will always use the Frey's condo as long as it is available for our Orange Beach trips. We love it and greatly appreciate the opportunity to have a little paradise vacation for a few days! I highly recommend it!

  We loved the condo. My husband, two daughters and I spent most the days at the beach. The pools were clean and refreshing after being on the beach all day. The condo is so close just run up for lunch and return to the beach. No reason to leave except for dinner out, if you want. Very family friendly. We will return.

  The property was exactly as we expected and the pictures accurately display this wonderful vacation spot. The owner answered all my questions and the condo was nicely furnished with all the aminities of home. It actually felt like our home away from home and we really fell in love with Sugar Beach! The beach was nearly private and the pools were luxuriously heated for an early May visit. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The staff were extremely nice. The convenience of steamed fresh seafood right across the street and the Sugar Shack snack bar by the pool were great for a day at the beach and pool. I was amazed that there was so much shopping at Orange Beach including grocery stores. The restaurants were wonderful but the one called LIVE BAIT was my favorite! I recommend the Dolphin Cruise or Parasailing at Happy Harbor. Thank you ART for allowing us to rent your place. We truly had a wonderful vacation there.

  My friend and me stayed at Sugar Beach the condo was perfect also has a washer and dryer full kitchen.It was a very nice and the people were nice. It was our first time ever to go there and we are lookinng forward going back

  We had a wonderful time on our Orange Beach vacation! The condo was perfect for our group of Nana, Poppie, 2 grandchildren and 1 child. We enjoyed eating at "home" most days for lunch and 2 nights for dinner.** We suggest everyone go directly across the road to Lartigue's Seafood. You pick what you want, they cook it there and send you on your way. We couldn't find a low country boil option on any menu, but we were able to "make our own" at Lartigue's and it was the best seafood we ate the entire trip!! The guys who own it are super nice, too.** The heated pool was awesome for everyone in the party, especially since the ocean was a little too rough for the little ones to enjoy. The elevator is located just a short walk from the unit, which made loading and unloading the car easy and quick. The unit is located close enough to the beach that we didn't need a "beach buggy" to carry all our stuff down, which was nice since it was one less thing we needed to bring with us from home. We are so excited about the NEW PULLOUT SOFA!! ; ) Thank you for a wonderful stay!! We hope to be back in August!!
