Just 6 miles to the north is the gate of Sequoia National Park, home to the gigantic Sequoia trees that are the biggest living things on the planet.
At Rio Sierra, guests enjoy private rooms, all furnished with refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave, TV, telephone with unlimited U.S. long distance, and wireless internet access.
Guests also enjoy access to the property’s river beach and, in summer, the town’s locally famous swimming hole known as Slicky.
Rio Sierra is the relaxing place to pull up a beach chair. Hang out in a cabana. Take a walk along the river. Enjoy the spectacular mountain views.
The laid-back pleasures of Rio Sierra are year-round – swimming and beach in summer, whitewater rafting in spring, peaceful contemplation of spectacular nature in winter, and the changing leaves of fall.

MASTER SUITE: Two full rooms, bathroom and picturesque balcony with river and mountain views. The comfy sitting room has a queen-size futon and large leather sofa that can comfortably sleep 2 children. RATE: $225 per night.
PANORAMA ROOM: Large loft room with panorama windows looking out onto the river, full kitchen. Queen bed plus 2 day beds. RATE: $225/night.
RIVER SUITE: One cozy room with a wall of windows looking out onto the river, plus closet and bathroom. RATE: $175 per night.
GARDEN ROOM: Our most affordable room looks out onto a garden nook, but the river and beach are only steps away. Just follow the stone walkway that leads around the house. RATE: $125 per night.
