Our summer home is on one of Minnesota's largest and most beautiful lakes with countless islands, bays, and inlets, and hundreds of miles of shoreline. The location is the perfect combination of amenities in the middle of a vast forest wilderness. National Geographic has rated Vermilion as one of the top ten most scenic lakes in the United States.
The architect-designed cabin faces northwest, so you can watch the sunset every day through floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. And you can see the stars at night from the queen bed in the master bedroom. Relax and enjoy the outdoors--lake, trees, birds, loons, maybe an eagle, and sun--from dock or deck. And get out on the water for even more spectacular lake views and some fishing! Vermilion is a good lake for Walleyes, Bass, and Muskies.
It's ideal for a family vacation, a family reunion, time with friends. The cabin has comfortable furniture--sofa, loveseat, and 2 recliners--with seating for 6 at dining tables in the kitchen and in the three-season screened porch. Three bedrooms--one with a queen bed, other beds are twin size. Bath has a shower (no tub). All rooms are on one floor. We provide linens, towels, basic cooking utensils and supplies, toiletries, and laundry detergent.
A canoe with paddles is available for your use as well as a 16 ft fishing boat. Bring your own boat if you like; a public landing and marina are nearby. Boat rental and boat tours are also available on the lake. Life jackets are provided. Cell phone reception is limited to ATT or T-Mobile, so please bring a phone card for long-distance calls if needed.
Dine at nearby restaurants or Fortune Bay casino/resort, or take a scenic drive to Ely for dining, art galleries, shopping, outfitters, hiking in Superior National Forest, summer theater, International Wolf Center, North American Bear Center, movies, etc.

WEEKLY ONLY. May to October, $1000/week, $300 damage deposit plus 6.85% sales tax
$300 due at reservation. Full payment by check or cash 30 days before rental.
No refund unless written cancellation at least 30 days before reserved date.
Sunday to Sunday, or Saturday to Saturday.
Check out 11am, check in 2 pm, unless other arrangements made. No motor homes.
No guns. No off-road vehicles or hunting allowed on property or adjacent
wilderness areas. Dock not available in October.
