The description and photos of this property were spot-on. The house was very clean, well maintained and very well furnished with furniture, appliances and utensils. Lisa, the owner was wonderful to work with and extremely concerned that we had a great stay and that we enjoyed her property(she even called to make sure we made it home safely following our stay). It had great views and was very convenient to shopping, dinning, and attractions. I highly recommend the zip line at Wildwater Adventures in Nantahala Gorge and at least one meal at the Dillard House. The Cupboard Café in Dillard also has wonderful meals. If you have any interest in antiques, you must visit The Whistle Stop in Franklin, NC (you can't get out of there in under 2 hours, there is so much to see). Thanks Lisa for a wonderful getaway!!!! We will be staying with you again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We enjoyed our Spring Break week stay at the cabin. The views were amazing from the nice open layout of the cabin. The beds were very comfortable, decor was very cozy, and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware and utensils. Definitely would give a great recommendation to anyone interested in this cabin.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This perfect little cabin was on the side of the mountain, overlooking the valley of Mountain City. The view was amazing and the house was perfect for our family of three. Our seven year old daughter loved the loft bedroom and hanging out on the deck. We sat on the deck each morning to watch the mountains come alive and to disappear in the evenings as we drank our hot coco while rocking in the rocking chairs. A fireplace that only required the push of a button and a kitchen with everything you could need. THE SHEETS FELT AMAZING AND WE DIDN'T WANT TO GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNINGS..... very comfy beds to say the least!!!! Thanks Lisa for sharing your home with us and we will definitely be back next year!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

If what you're looking for is peace and quiet, this is the place for you. With relaxing views from the rocking chairs on the deck to the beautiful sunrises (and foggy mornings) and sunsets, you'll be able to decompress in no time at all. We (4 adults & 1 toddler) stayed at this mountain cabin for 3 nights. Having never rented a cabin before, we weren't sure what we'd find. We were AWESTRUCK by this cabin and were so comfortable, we didn't want to leave. The property description is accurate but doesn't do it justice. You have to see it to believe it! It is so well kept, clean and comfortable that you feel like you're in your own home. It's close to beautiful state parks, waterfalls, and charming villages (Helen, Highlands, Clayton, Dillsboro, Cherokee). There are several shops and restaurants (the Dillard House, Cupboard Cafe) to visit in the immediate area so get out there and explore, explore, explore! The owner, Lisa, has a sweet, welcoming nature and was very helpful in answering questions and helping us get the details straight. She was always available whenever we had questions and never failed to return calls or e-mail messages. She even contacted us after we arrived to make sure everything was in order when we arrived. Amazing!!! She had the cabin decorated with fall decorations that were tasteful and added a hint of whimsy to the place. My granddaughter loved the small scarecrows!!! Since returning home, we've told everyone we know what a wonderful place this is and we can't wait to visit there again! Next time, we'll plan to stay longer so we can enjoy it even more. Thank you, Lisa, for taking such wonderful care of us and allowing us the use of your beautiful cabin in the mountains!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family of four stayed at this cabin for five nights just now and we absolutely loved the location, the charm of the house, the views and the spaciousness. The house is conveniently located and quite close to popular destinations such as the Highlands, NC (beautiful resort town), Tallulah Falls (great state park with views rivaling a national park), Black Mountain State Park (we didn't like as much b/c the paths weren't as well maintained) and the Great Smoky Mountains (hope to get there next time). There are two grocery stores nearby and several restaurant choices so you are not totally out in the sticks. We highly recommend this cabin and hope to be back one day.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The cabin was great, it was the perfect place to spend our mini christmas vacation. On the second trip up the drive way we put the car in 2nd gear and it went up slow and easy.If your wanting a quite, relaxing time, this cabin is just what you need. My sister was planing our next trip as we rocked in the rockers on the deck, looking down the mountain at the most beautiful views we had ever seen.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I have always wanted to spend a relaxing week in a mountain cabin - DONE! ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Total relaxation!! Lisa's cabin was recommended to me by a co-worker. She wasn't wrong - it was awesome! My husband and I, along with our son and daughter-in-law, and 2 grandchildren, THOROUGHLY enjoyed ourselves. The deck, rocking chairs, the birds, the view, nature, the home, I could go on and on - everything was just perfect! Very peaceful! Had everything we needed! We plan on going again - soon! Have already told family and friends about it - can't stop raving about it! Highly recommend The Dillard House, Mickey Piggs BBQ, Tallulah Falls! So many wonderful things to see and do! Travel to Helen and please remember to visit the Cabbage Patch Hospital in Cleveland - even the grown men enjoyed that! The Biltmore House as always is fascinating! Be sure to check out the chainsaw art! Thank you Lisa!! We had a wonderful time and will see you again soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: My daughter and I own this quiet, seculed and cozy cabin. We don't get there often, so we hope you will enjoy it, because it is such a special place to us. It has all new furniture and very clean. The sound of the stream is very lovely while reading a book on the porches or swinging on three decks or even enjoying the wildlife
Why the Owner Chose Dillard:
My grandparents and parents took me in this area to camp during my childhood, so I wanted to pass this on to my daughter. The location is so perfect. There is evrything within 20-30 minutes from cabin for activities and within a few miles for great places to eat and shop. Large Grocery store 3 miles from cabin.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
You can enjoy three different states of Mt. views from the decks. Watch wildlife and relax
