This is a wonderful home to rent. The listing description was accurate, the photos on this listing do not do it justice. The lanai is especially wonderful. There is little traffic on the road in front of the house allowing for a peaceful, restful time on the lanai. The three bedrooms are roomy with very comfortable beds. It is an incredible place to stay at an incredible price. Thanks Bev.

An AMAZING Place to stay on the Big Island!!!!

We spent a week in this rental and it is by far the BEST vacation rental we have stayed in. The house was super clean, plenty of room and had everything we needed and more! An extra thank you for the snorkel gear, that turned out to be our favorite activity. Although the location is farther out from town, we found it to be enjoyable. The frogs at night were also fun for us since we live in a big city. I cannot say enough nice comments about this place and the owner (and her family). Her price is more than fair and the property is beautiful and exactly what I think of when I think of Hawaii. The pictures do not do this house justice. We hope to bring some of our extended family there in 2013 and stay in the same place! Bev- you are an amazing person with a huge heart! Thank you again!!!!!

Dear Bev, The house looks better than the photos you posted. I enjoy your house more than the Kona house we stayed at. The scuba gears, bikes, ice cooler, BBQ grill, nice back yard, large kitchen and family room is a plus. House is clean, neat and well maintained. It had everything I needed. Also the house was very close to the lava tree park, warm pond, beaches, forest, and supermarket (less than 5-20 mins away). The drive in the forest along the side of beaches was a priceless experience. It is nothing compared to the forest in California. Felt like I was in a rain forest movie set. Explorers, remember to bring a reliable navigation GPS system if your planing to explore the area. Every road leads to a great place. I would recommend this property and would not mind coming back. Thank you for opening your house to our family!

We travel a lot. And, as you would expect, have rented many vacation homes and apartments. This was one of the very best. Great location for those seeking Hawaiian adventure. Near Volcano National Park, the warm ponds, Hilo and just about anywhere else on the island. Eat at Kaleos in Pahoa, shop at Malama for groceries, don't miss the Pahoa Sunday farmers market. The house is spacious, clean, stocked with everything you might need. There's even a garage for your rental car. And the lanai is perfect for just sitting and enjoying either the beginning or ending of your perfect vacation day. It's hard to imagine a better choice for your Hawaiian vacation. . We had a great time staying here and I'm sure you will as well.

Mahalo Bev, I almost want to keep this place to myself. We had a tremendous time staying at your home. To be able to return from a long day of doing everything we could fit in and having this quiet place to come back to. The jungle surrounding your home was really something else. At night when all the frogs,little creatures, and insects come out it's like a orchestra of nature playing. We were also treated to a thunderstorm that was quite intense. Your home itself is beautiful,with so many amenities, from cooking spices to suntan lotion,to boggie boards. The layout of the house was great with so much room to roam. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back again.

A Great Place to Stay

You will not be disappointed! What a wonderful place to come home to after touring the island. We have two kids, age 9 and 14; they really enjoyed having their own rooms. The master bathroom is huge and has two shower heads! My wife loved the kitchen. We ate all of our evening meals at the house; pizza, spaghetti, hamburgers. Another great feature are the amenities; laundry detergent, shampoo, soap, linens, dishwasher soap, bicycles, boogie boards, noodles, coolers. The house had everything you need; all you have to do is bring yourself! The only problem we had with the TV was the volume at night; we had to listen to it louder than we normally would because of the noise from the wildlife! If you don’t like the idea of going to sleep with the sounds of nature, this is not the place for you!!! We loved the nightly seranade! The house is in a quite area about a 10 minute drive from a grocery store. My daughter and I rode the bikes provided around the neighborhood, hardly any vehicle traffic, perfect for jogging and walking. The yard was nice and well kept! The foam cooler was great, and the extra ice bin in the freezer lets you fill up the cooler every day. We were able to take our lunch with us and have cold drinks all day long. The house is about 20 minutes from Hilo and a 2 ½ drive from Kona. Kona has a lot of the tourist activities, but there is plenty to do on the Hilo side. If you have kids our age (or younger), I suggest the Mackenzie State Recreation Site for a picnic, nice place for some photo opportunities as well. The Waiopae tidepools were not crowded and is a perfect first time snorkeling spot. Make sure you have shoes to walk over the lava rocks! The hot pond (Ahalanui Park) had picnic tables, showers and bathrooms. We stayed at the house five nights and I wish I could have stayed longer. Aloha Bev We enjoyed a wonderful family reunion. Your generosity gave us the opportunity to get 4 generations and many branches of our family tree together again. We enjoyed excursions to the tide pools, hot pond, Akaka Falls, the volcano, black sand beaches, farmers market, Waimea and more! Even a birthday party with hula, juggling and succulent food. Your home and gardens are very lovely and so comfortable. This time together with family was magical and memorable~Breeze & Kaulana had a ball!! He called her ‘sister’ and told her to ‘come’ everywhere he went. Our hearts are filled with aloha & mahalo!

WOW! Your home was more than we evr expected. The photos don't do it justice. It as truly a homje away from home. We wre here for 10 weeks and never needed anything. We just got back from our stay in Hawaii and I was amazed at how wonderful this home was. My mom is in a wheelchair and it was a joy for her to get around in your home. There was a ramp for her and everything. They have provided everything you could possibly need, down to q-tips. I enjoyed the lanai so much and the frogs put us to sleep at night. It was amazing. I would recommend this home to anyone going to the big island, expecially if they were handicapped. It is obvious that the owner takes great pride in her home and in providing a great vacation experience to all who stay there. Thank you so much.

What a wonderful home you have. And wonderful family who built this home with love. We were staying a week in Kona & then a little over a week on this side of the island. The house we had rented was a nightmare. We went to the Farmers Market and met your neighbor & that's how we found your home. We felt very relaxed here and the beds were so comfortable.
