Situated in the private, gated community of Kapoho Beach Lots, this beautiful home is flooded with warm, natural light and those tranquil ocean breezes that this side of the island is known for. The Kapoho Treehouse is completely open to the outdoors with beautiful screened window openings that takes in the 2nd and 3rd story views of the luscious landscaped grounds with it's beautiful blooming tropicals and large palms.
There is a wonderful geothermally heated swimming pond in the backyard that stays at about 91 degrees year round. It's perfect for those early morning dips or lazy afternoon days when you just want to float and take in the beauty. Just a short 5 minute walk from the treehouse is the infamous crystal clear Champagne Pond where swimming and snorkeling with sea turtles can be a daily occurrence. If that's not enough, then drive for only 5 minutes to the protected Wai Opae tide pools for snorkeling or a bit further to the Ahalanui Warm Spring Park.
Just a short 10 mile drive is the historic village of Pahoa whose boardwalks date back to the late 1800's. This quaint village has great dining, shopping and an awesome Sunday Farmer's Market. The Volcanoes National Park is about a 45 minute drive from the Treehouse and historic Hilo Town is also about a 40 minute drive.
There is plenty of room in the treehouse. With it's 2 bedrooms, and 2 baths on separate floors, it's perfect for 2 or 6. The large open lanai that encircles the house gives you a ton of indoor/outdoor living space. The large kitchen with gas stove and dishwasher is the perfect place to prepare those delectable island dishes and if you just want to laze and watch some television, the treehouse comes with Dish Satellite TV.
