Located one house from our private beach, this immaculate four bedroom (two upstairs and two on the first floor)home sleeps ten plus (Linens included). The lay out of the bedrooms makes this a perfect two family rental. Recent renovations include two new full baths (extra deep tubs), and brand new fully equipped kitchen/dining area, plus full central air conditioning.
The family room which can be closed off for noise control has a TV/VCR and wireless access. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and TV/VCR/DVD and Ipod station. During July and August Cablevision Family channels are provided. The basement offers the convenience of a washer and dryer.
A large deck overlooks a lovingly landscaped one half acre, designed for privacy. All of the gardens come alive with flowers in the spring. Hidden among the trees is a delightful hot outside shower and changing area. A Viking gas grill is available for your cooking needs. The play house, with bunks and electricity, are a favorite with visiting children. A path past one house provides access to our deck and private beach area.
Jamesport is located in the heart of Long Island Wine Country. My home is steps from our private, sandy Peconic Bay beach. We are walking distance to tennis, basketball, the marina, Jamesport public beach, boat ramp, and play ground. Vineyards and Antique shops are plentiful in the immediate area and recreational activities such as golf, the aquarium, and outlet shopping. Greenport fishing and boating are all an easy car ride away. Local restaurants are outstanding.
Everything about this home says "Welcome!" From the stencilled walls, to the hanging bird houses, to the fully stocked book shelves... and comfortable furnishings.
A lease will include cost of basic phone, water and landscaping and use of the private deck by the water. You will find anything that you might need in the way of pots and pans in the kitchen. Linens are included (but not beach towels.) Electric is included to an amount agreed upon at the start of the rental. You are expected to leave the house as you found it upon arrival.

House had it all. We had no problem sleeping 10 adults and 6 grandchildren. Bed rooms were large enough for kids to sleep with parents. They were to young to sleep in the buck house but they enjoyed playing in it. The house had plenty of seating for meals. The yard was large with plenty of room for yard games. The water front deck was used from sun up, all day and stargazing at night. The beach was clean, the water calm and the gradual increase in depth meant no worries with small children. We launched our boat about a 1/2 mile up the road and moored it in the shallows near the house. Our kayaks and one man rubber boats kept the kids playing in the water. The beach was perfect at low tide but covered at high tide. We could still sit in beach chairs soaking our feet. We found good take out, live lobsters, wineries, bagels and supermarkets all minutes away. The outdoor hot/cold shower kept the kids from tracking sand in to the house and was great for rinsing off after a swim. It was the home you dream of owning. We live on Long Island and had never thought of renting there, but the little commute made it so great.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

This was a great weekend house for families. We had my in laws and my wife and toddler. A decade ago we were big fans of fire island specifically Fair Harbor. This house reminds us of being there, but it is so much easier logistically. Three things you need to know: Better than I expected based on the pictures Private Beach - You are really so close to the ocean and a big plus with a two year old Outdoor space is really well done I would recommend this as a good weekend getaway and owner is very easy to work with as well.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.
