My husband and I just returned from Tranquility Point after a week's stay and we already wish we could go back! As soon as we opened the door, we knew we were in for a treat. The place was very clean and had a nice cozy home feel to it. We have stayed at many locations/cabins in Gatlinburg over the years, and this is the first place we are willing to return to. It is obvious that the owners take pride in their home away from home and we had a lovely week. Due to our stressful jobs, we were looking forward to a week in the mountains and we were able to have exactly that. We rarely left the cabin and cooked most meals in the well stocked kitchen. The cabin has gorgeous nearly panaromic views and is nicely tucked at the end of the road to ensure privacy. We have already began discussing when we can return! Thank you for giving us the vacation we were hoping for! The pictures on your site are true to reality and we had no negative surprises!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Dear Doug and Emily, We're so happy you were able to enjoy a stress-free vacation and look forward to having you back.

What a weekend! My husband, parents, and I enjoyed this home away from home so much. Not only is the cabin wonderful, the owners are as well! We just so happened to drive up during an ice storm. At first, we could not get up the mountain because of this one area of ice. I called Karen to ask what we should do, and she said she would not charge us for friday night if we had to stay in a hotel. How awesome is that! Most owners would have said, no refunds for weather. Luckily, we waited a couple of hours, tried again and we made it!!! Once we arrived, we were so glad we tried again. Who likes to stay in a boring Hotel? I know I don't. The cabin was VERY clean and cozy. It looks just a beautiful as the photos, if not better. If you don't like to mess with a fireplace, no worries. it turns on at the turn of a switch!! The kitchen is large with tons of counter space. You are sure to make a wonderful home cooked meal. The drive to downtown Gatlinburg was much closer than I imagined. Thank you again Karen and Ian. We will be back!!!!! P.S. The view is AWESOME!!!! Front, Back and Side!!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.
Owner response: Heather, thank you for the kind words. We're so happy that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to having you back.

Tranquility-Point was simply fabulous. The privacy, view, amenities, floor layout could not have been better. It was close enough to be convenient to everything in both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge yet far enough away to be private and secluded. Especially liked the information folder (wifi was a welcomed asset, recommended restaurants ..we ate at both the Log Cabin Pancake House and The Chop House, we also visited Laurel Falls & horseback riding). Instructions from check-in to check out was easy and clear.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Thanks so much to the owners of Tranquility Point! Our careers and experiences in the medical profession are demanding and often heart-wrenching, and so a week in this peaceful cabin was just what we needed. Lots of relaxing in jacuzzi while enjoying breathtaking mountain views. Home-cooked meals every night in the ample kitchen. Had a fabulous 11 mile bike ride through the wildlife in Cade's Cove, and took our dogs on a 4 mile hike nearby. What a fantastic and relaxing week. Have already recommended to family and friends, and we will surely be back again too.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Thank you again for allowing us to stay at Tranquility Point. Everything was perfect! We had an amazing time in Gatlinburg, and having such a wonderful cabin to stay at definitely made the trip an awesome one. We will definitely return, and stay again in the future. I have to say I think my favorite part about the cabin was the info book y'all left behind for your guests. It was extremely helpful to us. The views were spectacular, and the cabin was very cozy, and cheerful. I especially loved being able to use the fireplaces with the turn of a button. Coffee at 7 am watching the sunrise over the mountains has been truly missed since we got home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: We're so happy you had a great stay. We love sitting on the deck watching the sun rise over the mountains too!

The time we spent at Tranquility Point was amazing! On our first visit to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, we found the cabin to be most relaxing and very accommodating. We were able to view (what seemed like) all of Tennessee from the back porch. And to the complete wonderment of my 2 sons, woke up to 2 inches of snow. The cabin was conveniently located right in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I can not express the gratitude for the use of this "dream" cabin. Ian and Karen (mostly Karen) calmed my nerves when we were leaving home on the news of possible snow. She convinced me that even with snow, we would have no problems...and we did not. They were next to none with support. I felt as if I'd known them for years. Loved the cabin and would recommend it to anyone I know. Thanks Ian and Karen for a lifetime of memories! We will see the cabin soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
