This open, airy and spacious Anna Maria home is situated 1 ½ blocks from the Gulf and 4 blocks from Tampa Bay. This 3-bedroom home is only a few minutes walk from one of Anna Maria’s favorite waterfront restaurants, the Sandbar. Also, beach boutiques, antique stores and the City Pier, well known for it’s dining and fishing, are within walking and biking distance. In addition, an internet café is located one block from the home at Ginny's and Jane E's cafe and antique shop.
This Haven House has a beautiful private screened-in charming porch on the second floor and a cement patio on the ground floor that spans out into a newly contructed (Sept 08) kidney shaped heated pool. The pool is a great addition to the 'home away from home' feeling that this house give you. Enjoy the convenience of the pool when it is too hot for the beach or too cold to go in the ocean water. No need to leave the house! The entire house has a fresh coat of paint and many new and updated decorations (November 2006).
The main floor boasts a beautiful master bedroom with it's own TV/VCR, ceiling fan, king-size bed and direct access to an open balcony with seating. It was recently redecorated and new bedding was purchased (July 2007). The master bathroom is often said to be the best room of the house. It has a large stand-in shower and Jacuzzi style bathtub. The sink area is surrounded by a massive mirror.
The second bedroom is adorned with a lush palm tree theme, with a queen size bed and ceiling fan. The third bedroom has two single beds and is decorated in a seashell theme. The second bathroom mirrors the palm tree decorations of the second bedroom. It was recently redecorated and new tile was placed on the floor (July 07).
By this bathroom is a linen closet fully stocked with bath towels, beach towels, beach bags bedroom and beach blankets and extra bedding and pillows. The washer and dryer is located down the hall from the linen closet.
The open and spacious nautical themed living room has a large TV/DVD/VCR, a sectional sofa with recliner, a chair that pulls out into a single size bed and a rocking chair. This sectional is also new and was quickly named 'quicksand' for the way it sucks you into relaxation!
The living room extends into the beach travel decorated dining room with a gorgeous, round glass top wicker dining set and hutch filled with teapots and access to various games (redecorated July 07).
The dining room and kitchen are separated by a large island with seating. The fully stocked kitchen includes all standard appliances and amenities. The kitchen opens into the living room.
The tropical, private screened-in porch is at the back of the house and can be entered through the living room and dining room. Both entrances have large, fully opening sliding doors that are a great way to bring the tropical outside landscape indoors. This is a great thing to take advantage of during the spring and fall months, when cool breezes come through these open doors. The porch has a gas grill, wicker seating area and glass top table with separate serving table.
The ground floor or basement is a two car garage filled with multiple bikes, beach chairs, beach toys and plenty of room for storage. It also has access to the back cement patio that includes a charcoal grill and shower area.
This home is very kid friendly but also a great romantic get away. Come experience the home that our family has called a haven and see the beauty and comfort it has to offer!
