The Homestead is a majestic stone and rustic wood cabin in Teton Village, its wings laid out on an axis to the mountains. The doors open out to the slopes, just steps away. Tall, divided light windows frame views of the the craggy mountains and the sky. This is an inspiring place, only a mile from the entrance to Grand Teton National Park, where winter is as celebrated as summer. The Homestead has been featured in the prestigious Andrew Harper TRAVELER and, like an excellent hotel, its sterling quality is apparent everywhere: sumptuous linens and towels; an impressive collection of original Western art and sculpture; handmade furniture – twig chairs, burnished wood tables, a gorgeous balustrade of bronzed-leafed aspen branches. There are three spacious bedrooms and one suite, each with a luxurious private bath. Deep whirlpool tubs relax and invigorate. Clear, pure Wyoming mountain water streams from the polished taps. The master bedroom is on the second floor, as is a queen bedroom. Both are spacious, luxurious rooms. A big open living room with a soaring cut stone fireplace, and the dining area, with its ample, elegant table are also on the second floor. Just outside the dining area, visible through a wall of windows, is a terrace with a hot tub. The Homestead’s kitchen is an integral part of the grand, open living and dining space: it is a first-rate kitchen in wood, granite and steel. On the first floor, there is a laundry room, a two-car garage, a bedroom with two twin beds, and a fully-appointed suite that has a queen bed, two twins, a separate sitting area, and an entertainment center. The Homestead is a wonderful getaway for a group of friends or an extended family; close to everything, and lacking nothing.
