Why the Owner Chose Waikoloa Village
My stays in the Big Island were downtown Kona and I enjoyed the tourist attractions, shopping and choice of restaurants, however, once that I got more involved about looking for the property and drove around the Island I was amazed at the people, the change of scenery, climate and the beautiful beaches. Driving back to Kona from Hawi I decided to look at few places in Waikoloa Village. The town is small, quiet, and with a shopping area that has a large full service supermarket surrounded by specialty shops.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Waikoloa Villas is a privately owned condominium complex with parking available off the street and the unit is convenientely located steps away from parking. Ammenities as members of the Waikoloa Village Assoc. includes tennis courts, discounted golf, swimming pool, this is besides the two pools and spas available at the villas. It is only minutes away to the most popular resorts and beaches in the Kohala Coast.

I am very fortunate to have a job that allows me to travel. During the many stays I had in the Hawaiian Islands I felt very connected to the Big Island and I started to consider a place where I would someday like to reside permanently. I do a lot of driving in the Los Angeles, Ca area so I was delighted to see that driving here would be a lot simpler.

My wife, I and two kids have visited the Big Island in June 2011. We had a wonderful vacation at Waikoloa Village and we enjoyed every bit of it. The villa is beautiful and we found everything we needed in there. It was very clean and quiet. The outlook from the lanai is gorgeous. We appreciated all little extras left for our enjoyment and use (beach chairs, towels, boogie boards). The location is perfect. From here we made trips to the whole island. I'll gladly recommend this place to anybody.

My husband and I stayed here at Xmas time and had a very relaxing time. It was quiet and peaceful in the complex, yet a quick drive to the beaches and shopping. The unit was very clean and had all the things we needed if we wanted to cook. The owner also called while we there to check in with us to make sure everything was ok. We had breakfast and fresh Kona coffee every morning on the lanai and enjoyed watching the golfers and the birds. There is a grocery store and a small Phillipino grocery store within walking distance. The Phillipino store sold fresh fruit from local farmers and we enjoyed fresh tomatoes, mangoes, star fruit, etc. It was such an enjoyable place that we bought a unit while we were there.

My wife and I have visited the Big Island several times. This was our first time staying on the Kohala Coast, and we couldn't have found a better place on this part of the island. Great beaches nearby (particularly A Bay, the closest one) as well as a perfect launching spot for visting the northern and eastern parts of the island (Hawi, Waimea, and Honokaa are all worth exploring). The property was in immaculate condition with everything we needed and then some. We greatly appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels and cooler. On several mornings, we enjoyed watching the wild turkey flock that wandered past the lanai. Even before we arrived, I had a great feeling about this place as the owner provided prompt and helpful answers to my endless questions. Not only would I recommend this place to others, I would stay here again.

This was a very nice clean 2 bedroom condo right off the 9th fairway at Waikoloa Village golf course. The unit has a nice outlook and it's quiet; it was very comfortable for a great price! The golf course is in great shape and is reasonable.

This condo was a wonderful home away from home, but with lots more perks than home: an ocean view, a great pool and hot tub on the property and outside BBQ. The condo was quiet, clean, and has a beautiful view from the lanai to enjoy breakfast. It is very close to a great grocery store and just down the hill are some very lovely beaches. If you like to play golf, this is also a fantastic location, because it is on the course. I would definitely stay here again and encourage friends and family to do the same.

We have just returned from spending three weeks in Hawaii and can't wait to go back! Our stay was extended by a week due to the volcanic ash cloud and we couldn't think of a better place to be stranded!! Our first week was spent on Big Island staying at this magnificent villa. It is close enough to get to everywhere but far enough away to be peaceful and get away from the tourism after a busy day sightseeing! It is only a couple of minutes from a petrol station, supermarket, bank and post office. The villa is very modern, spacious, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for self catering. The patio overlooks the golf course and apart from a few people occasionally playing a round of golf, there is no one around. There are plenty of parking spaces right outside the villa. The grounds are very well maintained and we spent many days eating our breakfast on the patio overlooking the grounds with the ocean in the distance! On a couple of occasions we even saw the humpback whales breaching! The swimming pool is only steps away and we only saw two other people using it the entire week! The jacuzzi is also a welcome treat after a long day. Amanda, the owner of the villa is very efficient and extremely friendly. She even telephoned us during our stay to check that everything was ok. Organising the rental and payments was extremely easy. You will need a car if you stay here as there are lots of places to visit. Driving is very easy on Big Island as the roads are very straight and there are not many cars on them! Our advice is to rent a 4-wheel drive as there are lots of places you can only access in these vehicles. We managed to get round the whole island during our stay. You must go to see the volcano (take a raincoat as it does rain!), go to the Waipio valley as the views are truly spectacular and the beach is beautiful. If you are visiting during the winter months up to April then make sure you go on a trip to see the humpback whales as this is once in a lifetime experience being so close to such huge creatures! The farmers market in Hilo (the opposite side of the island) is worth visiting and whilst you are there take a detour to the 'Big Island Candies' factory. You can watch them baking their goodies and there are lots of chances for free sampling! It is the closest you will come to tasting home baked biscuits! For value for money you must stay here whilst visiting Big Island! You will NOT be disappointed and we highly recommend it

“Having stayed for years in this complex at Waikoloa, I was aware of how perfect the location was: on the Robert Trent Jones golf course with distant ocean views; but I wasn't sure where the suite would be. It was at one end of the complex, with easy access to the course and great ocean views. It was also well appointed with a king-sized bed and second bedroom and bathroom. --Walking distance to shopping and an easy drive to the beaches. Hot during the day and cool at night!--what more could you want?”

Great location in Waikoloa Villas. Roomy and conveniently stocked. Nice new TV to relax with after busy days. Only thing I'd add is a couple of boogie boards with the beach chairs to take to Hapuna.
