Wonderful vacation condo ! Condo was clean and very well maintained. Stocked with everything you need for cooking. Great location, we loved that the beaches are only a short drive away. Great grocery store only minutes away as well. We will stay here again and recommend this condo to others ! Thanks for letting us stay, we had a wonderful and relaxing time.

good place to vacation

We love this place. My kids loved the swimming pool and we loved the convenience of the restaurant and grocery store nearby. My kids would swim in the ocean during the day and come home to swim more in the pool while I was cooking. I was so happy there are lots of spices for cooking! There is a rice cooker too:). There were almost everything we needed for beach in the condo...a surprise for me to not to have rent any equipment for beach outing. My kids also love the puzzles and games stored neatly in the closet. The best part was the SUNSET over the ocean. We watched EVERYDAY from Lani!!!!

Excelent Big Island Vacation

Guest: Mircea N (Toronto, ON, Canada)
Date of Stay: 06/30/11 Review Submitted: 08/04/11

My wife, I and two kids have visited the Big Island in June 2011. We had a wonderful vacation at Waikoloa Village and we enjoyed every bit of it. The villa is beautiful and we found everything we needed in there. It was very clean and quiet. The outlook from the lanai is gorgeous. We appreciated all little extras left for our enjoyment and use (beach chairs, towels, boogie boards). The location is perfect. From here we made trips to the whole island. I'll gladly recommend this place to anybody.

Very relaxing and quiet surroundings.

My husband and I stayed here at Xmas time and had a very relaxing time. It was quiet and peaceful in the complex, yet a quick drive to the beaches and shopping. The unit was very clean and had all the things we needed if we wanted to cook. The owner also called while we there to check in with us to make sure everything was ok. We had breakfast and fresh Kona coffee every morning on the lanai and enjoyed watching the golfers and the birds. There is a grocery store and a small Phillipino grocery store within walking distance. The Phillipino store sold fresh fruit from local farmers and we enjoyed fresh tomatoes, mangoes, star fruit, etc. It was such an enjoyable place that we bought a unit while we were there.

Wonderful Stay in Waikoloa Village

Date of Stay: 11/07/10 Review Submitted: 11/28/10

My wife and I have visited the Big Island several times. This was our first time staying on the Kohala Coast, and we couldn't have found a better place on this part of the island. Great beaches nearby (particularly A Bay, the closest one) as well as a perfect launching spot for visting the northern and eastern parts of the island (Hawi, Waimea, and Honokaa are all worth exploring). The property was in immaculate condition with everything we needed and then some. We greatly appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels and cooler. On several mornings, we enjoyed watching the wild turkey flock that wandered past the lanai. Even before we arrived, I had a great feeling about this place as the owner provided prompt and helpful answers to my endless questions. Not only would I recommend this place to others, I would stay here again.

Great 2 bedroom Condo!

Guest: golfer (Seattle)

This was a very nice clean 2 bedroom condo right off the 9th fairway at Waikoloa Village golf course. The unit has a nice outlook and it's quiet; it was very comfortable for a great price! The golf course is in great shape and is reasonable.

This condo was a wonderful home away from home, but with lots more perks than home: an ocean view, a great pool and hot tub on the property and outside BBQ. The condo was quiet, clean, and has a beautiful view from the lanai to enjoy breakfast. It is very close to a great grocery store and just down the hill are some very lovely beaches. If you like to play golf, this is also a fantastic location, because it is on the course. I would definitely stay here again and encourage friends and family to do the same.

You must stay here on big island!

We have just returned from spending three weeks in Hawaii and can't wait to go back! Our stay was extended by a week due to the volcanic ash cloud and we couldn't think of a better place to be stranded!! Our first week was spent on Big Island staying at this magnificent villa. It is close enough to get to everywhere but far enough away to be peaceful and get away from the tourism after a busy day sightseeing! It is only a couple of minutes from a petrol station, supermarket, bank and post office. The villa is very modern, spacious, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for self catering. The patio overlooks the golf course and apart from a few people occasionally playing a round of golf, there is no one around. There are plenty of parking spaces right outside the villa. The grounds are very well maintained and we spent many days eating our breakfast on the patio overlooking the grounds with the ocean in the distance! On a couple of occasions we even saw the humpback whales breaching! The swimming pool is only steps away and we only saw two other people using it the entire week! The jacuzzi is also a welcome treat after a long day. Amanda, the owner of the villa is very efficient and extremely friendly. She even telephoned us during our stay to check that everything was ok. Organising the rental and payments was extremely easy. You will need a car if you stay here as there are lots of places to visit. Driving is very easy on Big Island as the roads are very straight and there are not many cars on them! Our advice is to rent a 4-wheel drive as there are lots of places you can only access in these vehicles. We managed to get round the whole island during our stay. You must go to see the volcano (take a raincoat as it does rain!), go to the Waipio valley as the views are truly spectacular and the beach is beautiful. If you are visiting during the winter months up to April then make sure you go on a trip to see the humpback whales as this is once in a lifetime experience being so close to such huge creatures! The farmers market in Hilo (the opposite side of the island) is worth visiting and whilst you are there take a detour to the 'Big Island Candies' factory. You can watch them baking their goodies and there are lots of chances for free sampling! It is the closest you will come to tasting home baked biscuits! For value for money you must stay here whilst visiting Big Island! You will NOT be disappointed and we highly recommend it

Great location in Waikoloa Villas. Roomy and conveniently stocked. Nice new TV to relax with after busy days. Only thing I'd add is a couple of boogie boards with the beach chairs to take to Hapuna.

“Having stayed for years in this complex at Waikoloa, I was aware of how perfect the location was: on the Robert Trent Jones golf course with distant ocean views; but I wasn't sure where the suite would be. It was at one end of the complex, with easy access to the course and great ocean views. It was also well appointed with a king-sized bed and second bedroom and bathroom. --Walking distance to shopping and an easy drive to the beaches. Hot during the day and cool at night!--what more could you want?”

Very nice. We enjoyed the "golf course" ambiance and the cleanliness of the condo. Well stocked and organized. Little trouble figuring out how the front door lock worked but once we passed that all was well. Could use a tray to carry things to the lanai. We will definitely return if we come to the Big Island. tom

This condo was wonderful! Everything was so easy to set up in regards to reservations, etc. that I thought it may be too good to be true... but it wasn't. This place was just as good as I was lead to believe and would definitely stay here again should I return to the Big Island!

This was our second time at this condo. It's really great! Excellent! Good price, very peaceful, easy to find and a very nice view. And, the owner is very nice too! A pleasure to work with! The owner displays the "Aloha Spirit" and I can see why this place belongs with this owner. Plan to stay here again and again! As long as it's available. A++ rating!

We have stayed in this condo at The Villas for the past five years. It is a most excellent place to spend either a long-term or short term Hawaii vacation. It is exceptionally clean and has all the kitchen equipment needed for the preparation of meals. It is not more than a few dozen steps to the clubhouse and a very challenging golf course. Ocean swimming is perfect and easy to get to as are the Villa's swimming pools. In all respects we would be quick to recommend this unit to those seeking a comfortable stay on the Big Island.

This was the second time we stayed in the Waikoloa Villas, in the Village. In all our many trips to the islands this was one of the best units ever. The Village is in a very nice area which has quite a few nice condo communities, many of which rent. No question, a golfing community. We have a relative that owns a real nice unit in Waikoloa Villas also. But this time we rented our own. A lot of friends rent here as well, so we are able to compare notes. Most all units are very good quality. On the average, a two bedroom is much larger, more kept up from a modern standpoint and probably cleaner than the average beach condo down on the lower levels of the island and a lot quieter. If you aren’t into golfing, which we aren’t, it is still pretty nice, and only 15 minute drive or so from some of the best sand beaches in Hawaii, Hapuna Beach for example, or a short drive and short walk to interesting Turtle Bay. Also, the large Waikoloa Resort complex which includes its ultra lavish Hilton hotel and the Waikoloa Beach Marriott is just a 12 minute drive away. Very close as well are the ritzy Hapuna Beach Prince and the Mauna Kea Beach hotels. The village is located in a nice a quiet area on the lower south slopes of the mountains with plenty of area to hike in without getting overrun by crazy drivers. Still, a very large, quality and reasonable super market is in the village just a few minutes walk from this unit. Downsides are, a long drive to Kona because both of the distance and the horrible traffic situation before you get to Kona, (note: fortunately when traveling south from here you reach COSTCO just before the traffic gets bad and the airport is also not a traffic problem as it would be if you were heading north from Kona), pretty windy area at times but dryer and warmer than most areas in the Hawaiian islands, the two pool areas in the complex are nice and clean, with amenities like grills and hot tubs but the priority here is on the golfing not the pools, grills and hot tubs.

Just returned home after spending a month in your condo. It was exactly what we needed and expected - very clean, well maintained, fully equipped and furnished. Villas complex is also very attractive and well maintained. Staff are very friendly. Spent a great deal of time at Hapuna Beach - our favourite, just a short drive from the condo . Interesting changes in landscape within a half hour's drive. Hope to be back again later this year. Many Thanks!! Al & Mary Ann Calgary, Alberta
