My family had a great experience at this cottage at Ocean Isle Beach. The owners were great to deal with and first class all the way. The cottage itself was awesome and a great value. I don't see how you can beat the location of the cottage. As advertised, it's right on the beach, so in just a few steps, you're on the beach. It's close enough to leave your stuff on the beach, or at the base of the steps, and head back to the cottage for lunch or rest, and then head out again to the beach. It's a walkable distance to the pier and other commercial activities. It has a great back porch overlooking the ocean, so needless to say we spent more time on the porch enjoying the ocean view and breeze than we did inside. The cottage was very clean and very well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked as well. While its not a over-sized cottage, this place is ideal for 1 large family/group or 2 small families. We had 4 adults and 2 kids and had plenty of room for more. There's also plenty of room for vehicles under the cottage and room to store all your beach gear. We were fortunate enough to witness some sea turtles hatching about 6 cottages up the beach, so take advantage of some of the sea turtle activities if you're there at the right times. We also liked Sharky's and Giggling Mackeral for dinner choices. We had a great time in OIB and this cottage was a big part of our positive experience.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.
