Live the French life-style with spacious, American-style comfort in Paris! Located in the safest and most exclusive area of Paris between the Eiffel Tower and Invalides at the quiet dead-end of the famous open market street, Rue Cler, this spacious, sunny, two-level 110 m2 apartment (approximately 1210 square feet) is superbly located for a family or friends who want to live at ease in Paris.
Well-behaved children and/or dogs are welcome here. With the market, cafés and shopping just down the street, and the Eiffel Tower park just a few blocks away, this an ideal location for families with kids or people who think of their dog as family, or people who just want to kick back in comfort while in Paris. This casual apartment is not stuffy – rather it’s very comfortable and will enable any visitor to Paris to live a nice, relaxed Parisian lifestyle during their stay. (Just read our many guests' comments to see how nice and different this place really is!)
This light-filled duplex comprises two large bedrooms and is located on the first and second floors (U.S. second and third floors) of a small, quiet, modern building with elevator, concierge and security system. The street-side of the apartment features sliding glass doors that open to planted terrace balconies on both levels. The outdoor terraces are large enough for seating and perfect for morning coffee in the sun or evening cocktails. There are no nosy neighbors as the glass doors and balconies face a church with stained glass windows.
The upstairs living and dining area is furnished with a mix of antique and contemporary furniture, paintings, photographs and prints. The spacious living room has two couches, one of which is a pullout bed, and the dining table seats eight comfortably. The first balcony eating area is just off the dining room and an outdoor grill and fresh herbs are just outside the kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything an enthusiastic cook needs including spices – there’s nothing nicer than picking up fresh meat, fish, cheese and vegetables from the Rue Cler market and cooking up a memorable meal in one’s own Paris home. Even if your idea of lunch is just re-heating something from a fancy deli in the microwave, it’ll be especially good coming from Rue Cler.
Included in the rental fee are French and English-language cable TV including CNN, CNBC and BBC World, along with unlimited WiFi and broadband Internet access, free local and international telephone calls plus exceptional access to U.S. Time-Warner cable TV shows through the in-house computer via a Slingbox. No American will need to miss their favorite sports game or TV shows while living here!
There are two full bedrooms downstairs. One is the master bedroom with a real king-size bed, dresser and plenty of built-in closet space. Both bedrooms have sliding glass doors onto the second balcony terrace. The second bedroom serves as a bedroom or office combination or kid’s room. It has a full double bed plus a small sofa bed. The double bed room has an armoire and a corner office space with a PC computer, broadband and WiFi Internet and printer for your use. The downstairs area has plenty of extra closet space, a marble bathroom with full bath and shower, and a separate toilet room, plus shelves full of books and guides to Paris.
Upon arrival our friendly Rental Assistant will check you in and show you how to work everything. She will also show you the highlights of very useful notes and guide to the neighborhood. The neighborhood is great, with lots of boutiques on rue Saint Dominique, all the food and cute cafés you could want on Rue Cler – a premiere market street – and great transportation links by bus, metro or RER right near-by, not to mention the flowers, grass and paths of the Champs de Mars Eiffel Tower park a few blocks away. There’s everything you need to live the best of both worlds - French and American - in Paris!

My family and I stayed there for a few days in August and had a great time. You couldn't ask for a better location. We had two teenage boys with us and the apartment accommadated us perfectly. We were met by Emily and she gave us a brief orientation to the area. Bakery just down the street, two blocks to the Eiffel Tower, a great street market, and easy access to the subway. It was really hot while we were there, but the apartment stayed relatively cool and we had fans available. We would love to stay there again. We felt like locals and this apartment helped to make our stay in Paris that much more enjoyable.

Very comfortable apartment in a great location. 2 floors make space seem even bigger than it is. Well stocked kitchen and free phone service to the US were added bonuses. Easy access to Rue Cler area and metro with several grocery stores, wine shops and bakeries close by. Suzan and Emily could not have been more gracious and the "insider info" provided was a great help. Most highly recommmeded.

We just returned from 2 weeks in Europe. We stopped over in Paris for 4 nights and could not have picked a better place to stay, From the great accomodations to the location our family of 4 was very happy. Suzan was excellent from start to finish( our deposit was here before we returned from vacation!) and Emily was a delight. I love the location of this apt - truly everything you need is just steps away! Wonderful little shops for food, clothing etc and excellent restaurants! We used the suggestions of Suzan and were never disappointed! Thank you for a wonderful stay - we will be back!

This apartment was the perfect base for our Paris vacation. Two adults and two children (ages 9 and 11), we found it just right in every way. It is well taken care of and everything is in working order. Emily arrived and showed us around the apartment right on time. We used the kitchen almost everyday. Just walked 2 blocks down Rue Cler to get our groceries at the fruit and vegetable stands and the wonderful cheese shop. Suzan has thought of everything. Instructions for the washing machine, tv, internet and phone are right there so no pushing buttons hoping we can figure out how to work it. There are at least 5 pastry shops within 3 blocks and the bread maker is on the corner.

We had a wonderful time in Paris – wow, what a city! I can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed every moment! Not a single glitch, and we loved the flat! Charming, just what we had in mind, and perfect location! We loved all the little shops and boutiques in the area, and I think we tried every cafe on Rue Cler and Saint Dominique! We also picked up fromage, meats and wine at the local market a couple nights as well – and enjoyed the meal on the balcony! And I think we saw nearly everything on our “must see in Paris” list – we even rented a car and drove out to Normandy one day! What an incredible memory of the entire week – and thank you for allowing us to enjoy your lovely flat in the Arrondissement 7!

My family and I (2 adults plus a 7 year old and a 5 year old) absolutely loved this apartment. The location is perfect. We played at the park near the Eiffel Tower almost every day. My morning ritual was a 1/2 block walk to the nearest bakery to get chocolate croissants, bread, and other yummies. The downstairs bedrooms and upstairs living room & kitchen were fantastic. For those that wanted some quiet or sleep they could rest downstairs while others cooked or chatted upstairs. The Internet connection was blazingly fast and very handy, as well. We watched a bit of TV but were generally too exhausted from full days of fun to watch for long. Beds were comfy. Bathroom facilities were fine. Clothes washer was incredibly handy. No dryer but drying on the rack only took a few hours. The metro stop at the end of rue Cler was quite easy to get to. Likewise, the Pont de l'alma RER stop. We wholeheartedly recommend this rental. At the end of our two week stay the owners of the restaurants and bakeries along rue Cler recognized and waved at me as we passed by. I can't wait to visit Paris and stay at this wonderful apartment again. :-)

The rental of this apartment worked out well, even for the short time we had 4 people visiting us (my husband and I stayed for a month and a half, with our labradoodle). Everyone loved it. We had exceptionally good weather, which made the stay superb. I didn't do as much cooking as planned as we were out walking and sightseeing all the time. I think I saw 90% of the markets listed in a wonderful book provided by the owner. Everyone got escorted to the President Wilson market, so I saw that one a lot! Best of all were the deepened friendships we made showing our friends Paris. Even my husband had to admit he enjoyed the vacation! So did my dog: this morning, back at our real home in New Hampshire, with heavy winds and torrential rain outside, when I opened the door for her to go out, she looked at me like, "where's Paris?" We all send thanks to Suzan for providing us a wonderful place that we all enjoyed.

These grandparents were delighted to be in Paris with their 13-year-old grandkids at this nicely furnished and well located apartment. The open window/doors and cool breezes that greeted us in late July came as a huge relief as we’d been sweltering in Rome for a week at 90 degrees plus! Rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished with very attractive art. The lovely church across the street marks the daytime and evening quarter hours (9am to 9 pm) with its bell, but the dead-end street is generally quiet during the night. The location was perfect. Rue Cler is a delight; Suzan Nolan's restaurant recommendations (Café du Marche; Le Petit Cler) proved excellent; wonderful produce and patisseries nearby; easy to walk to the Eiffel Tower and elsewhere and convenient to the Metro (note: the C line from L’Alma to Louvre/Notre Dame etc was diverting us onto a bus that is a pain). Having the computer/internet access was great – allowed me to book Eiffel Tower tickets at the last minute. Emily (rental assistant) was invaluable in calling a doctor for my wife when she was struck down with a sinus infection; French health services much better than one can get in the US on such short notice – but without Emily’s help in communicating with the French speaking telephone receptionist, we’d have been even more frazzled. From start to finish,Suzan was exceptionally helpful and friendly, handling our reservation and booking, answering questions and providing a wealth of tips on things Parisienne! We have a new favorite neighborhood in Paris.

We recently returned from our trip to Paris and enjoyed this apartment tremendously. In addition to being spacious and immaculate, the furnishings were comfortable and wonderful to come home to after a long day of sightseeing. Suzan and Emily were a pleasure to deal with and made everything so easy and pleasant. We were also thrilled with the location of the apartment. The Rue Cler neighborhood is warm and charming, yet convenient to the sights and transportation system in Paris. We enjoyed strolling along the Rue Cler, selecting fresh fruits, cheeses, honey and bread for picnic lunches and dinners. The owners of the shops were friendly and helpful. We had hoped to give our children (ages 7, 9 and 10) a feeling for what life is like in Paris and they came away with a sense of awe yet comfortable familiarity with the city. Thank you Suzan for sharing your apartment. We hope to return someday!
