We had a wonderful time in the Smith Cabin. The cabin was well furnished and kitchen is well equipped. The set up was great. There are near-by trails and access to fishing. We would recommend this cabin and hope to visit again. The listing and photos were accurate. The property was clean and well maintained.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

my wife, 2 kids ages 13 and 12, and our small 7lb dog stayed in this nice cabin for 5 days on the last week of March. When we arrived it was snowing. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and just as beautiful as the pictures. The beds were nice and the towels were very fluffy and soft. The next day we awoke and everything was covered in snow! Being from Florida our kids had never seen snow before so they had a great time. We mostly stayed in the cabin and did not venture out too much except for walking around near the cabin. It was very quiet, nice, and so relaxing. The mountain view was the best. The owner Shelly was easy to communicate with and very pleasant. The cabin had all the necessities supplied. We loved the gas fireplace since you only had to turn the nob to turn it on. How easy is that! Thanks Shelly for sharing your place and a wonderful time!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

What a great place for a week long get away! 5 of us decided to travel to the mountains for the holiday, the location, cabin, and accommodations were amazing. The owners were very nice and helpful by telling us about places and things to do while in town. We all would highly recommend this property to friends and relatives. This was truly the best 3 days of Fall! The cabin was as beautiful and comfortable as the skies were blue, the temps perfect and the leaves a bright array of oranges, reds and yellows. The trail down to the lake took you through an overlapping canopy of rhododendrons (have to come back in the Spring for the bloom) to the shores of Lake Hiwassee that is left partially drained during the colder months by the TVA. Our two dogs were absolutely in heaven as they were free to roam the trails and the lake during our long walks every day. While the dogs rested by the fireplace, we enjoyed playing pool, pinball, board games, building puzzles and watching videos from the available selection of movies. The outdoor firepit was a hit with nightly bon fires and a good helping of hot dogs and S'mores (the water hose from the house made this a much safer evolution and easy to extinguish the glowing coals at the end of the night). A 45-minute drive West on I-64 took us to the Ocoee River gorge which hosted the 1996 Summer Olympic paddling events and continues to provide high quality Class III/IV rapids for an exciting day on the river. The Hiwassee Dam (north on 294) was also a sight to see and served as a useful tool in learning about the extent of the TVA's efforts to harness the region's waterways. This was "camping" at its best, all the fun of the outdoors with all the comfort of home! Overall, every aspect of our stay was simply perfect! We look forward to coming back again in the future!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, pet owners.

This is a beautiful cabin with very clean like new everything. Great pool table and vintage pinball machine that was hours of entertainment. Lake is only 2.5 miles away and is a great spot to just get away from everything. I highly recommend this location, owners were very responsive and easy to work with.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband and I have stayed at quite a few cabins in the past. But this cabin is by far one of the best (especially for the price). The cabin was equipped with all new kitchen appliances and was much larger than what appears in the pictures. Our children enjoyed the double bunk beds downstairs, while the adults relaxed with the ample entertainment system. The owner, Shelli, was extremely helpful and always prompt in her correspondence. We will definitely stay at this cabin again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
