DO NOT RENT THIS CONDO!!!!!!!

Do not rent this condo....it was disgusting!!!! I have pictures of black mold under the mat in the shower, mold on the front door, poop on a pillow sham, an inch of dust on the ceiling fan in the dining room, dried up white stuff running down the front of the couch, diswasher wasn't working, bath mat in the master bath was filthy I wouldn't let my kids walk around with out flip flops on.there was dried puke going down the master bath toilet...I had two bugs in my bed, missing a whole piece of tile in the master bedroom closet, iron wouldn't work properly, the blinds in the kids room wouldn't close so people could see in the room walking by..(no curtains to close,just a valance) the blinds in the master bedroom wouldn't close all the way, dust and stuff left over from other renters under the couches and beds, dust so thick and sticky on the fake trees, blankets with big holes in them, the twin mattress would not stay on the bed properly when kids were sleeping. The dishes were sticky with a coating on them...I could go on and on!!! It was the most horrible place to stay....I felt dirty the whole time I was there. Windfall will not compensat for any inconvience! This is a health issue and it was gross!!!!! Windfall just says sorry! Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!!!

Owner response:We are always sorry to hear a guest not enjoying there stay in our condo. It is certainly not too much for a guest to expect their condo to be clean upon arrival. In the very few times when it does not meet the guest's expectation, we do what we can, as quickly as we can, to correct the situation. In this case, Housekeeping and Maintenance were at the condo, correcting the issues, within 1 hour of the guest's notification of the issues. We always try to respond to any guest issue or question as promptly as possible.

We recently spent 4 wonderful days at this condo and could not have been more pleased. We have been renting condos in the Ft. Walton Beach area since the 1980’s, so we are experienced as to what to expect when renting condos. This one was very clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen was well-stocked, as well. We also had a great view of the pool and the beach. We kept the air-conditioner set at 70 degrees and had no issues with it freezing up. When renting condos, we typically like them to be kept very cool and this air-conditioner had no problem keeping the rooms cool to our comfort. We will definitely rent this one again!

Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family stayed June 20 through June 25, 2011 and we had no problems. Air temperature in condo was great. We had no problems with refrig and the dishwasher worked fine (sounded like a dishwasher). Condo was clean. View was awesome. We even got to see dolphins from the condo balcony. Thank you so much for sharing your home. My entire family loved it and want to go back. THANK YOU!!!! This condo was on the beach and had a beautiful view. But the condo is for sale so the owners do not want to fix the stuff that is broken or going out. The air conditioner CANNOT be turned down lower than 70. That was something that was an issue for me. If you turn it lower then the unit will freeze up. And the unit does get a bit warm during the day. The fan in the master bed room can't be turned on anything other than low. It makes a really loud knocking noise if turned higher than low. When we got there the condo had sand on the floor and in the master bath there were hairs on the floor and in the tub. And not hair from someones head. NASTY!! When we turned the dishwasher on it made a really loud noise so we decided not to use it. When we got there with our groceries and put them in the ice box they got hot before getting cold. It says not to turn the temp colder on the ice box so your food cooks in the icebox before getting cold. When I got to the condo I called Laurisa and told her that I was highly upset about the air conditioner and her solution was to have the maintnance man come and look at it along with the fan. But was told that the air would have to stay at 70 or we would have to pay to have it fixed if it froze up. I had to go to walmart to buy some fans to put in the condo to cool it down. I personally did not want the maintance man or the cleaning crew to come and barge in on our vacation. I highly recommend NOT renting this unit. For the money that we spent we were so not satisfied and should of been compensated in some way for ALL of the inconvience that this has caused us. Laurisa knew all of this and only said that she would of sent someone. None of this should be an issue and should of been checked before we checked in to the place. I will not rent from her again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Owner response:We strive to make every guest's stay enjoyable. If there are any problem, maintenance or housekeeping related, we respond to them as soon as we know about them. If there is an issue, and the guest does not want it taken care of, then we have done all we can do. There are some things that cannot be controlled. Refrigerator typically takes a while to cool when it is empty and food is placed in it. An A/C unit, in the type of heat that was experienced this summer, can freeze up if it runs constantly. This is not unique to this condo or any other condo. If the fan had been reported, it would have been handled. If the dishwasher had been reported, it would have been handled. Since it was not reported, by earlier guests, and guests since this one have not reported concerns, we can chalk this up to a guest we would have been unable to make happy. We are people and we use people for housekeeping. We are not perfect and never will be, but when made aware and given the chance to correct an issue, we try our best.

This condo is in a very nice area. The beach is beautiful and if you want to walk for a while you can visit the pier. There are places to shop and eat around the pier. The condo was clean. The only problem was that we had to wait 45 minutes to enter the condo. They were still cleaning it. We arrived in our arrival time to start our rental. There were some beach toys and chairs if needed. We brought our own. I liked that the main bathroom can be closed off so that it acts like a master bath. Very nice for both couples. We loved our time at this condo. There is alot to do for families. It is not far from Destin. A short drive to many activities. I would recommend this condo.
