Located in the charming Old Town, Zona Romantica, area of Puerto Vallarta where a micro-climate provides cool breezes off the ocean and mountains, this tiny neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta has near perfect weather in contrast to the hotel zone, marina, and Nuevo Vallarta which are often 10 degrees hotter. Here the high season months are dry, warm, and sunny with breezy cool nights.
We love this part of town where the cobbled streets and natural beach are alive with people having a great time all day and into the night. Nestled in a tropical garden setting is our quiet oasis, but you are never more than steps away from exiting restaurants, shopping, and activities.
Here you can swim in the magnificent infinity edge pool; fish from the pier; go to sunset cocktail hour and then have a terrific inexpensive dinner in bare feet on the beach; have Peking duck made by a Beijing chef; buy hand-crafted silver jewelry; listen to live music; watch the fireworks light up the sky from our balcony; take a water taxi to a nature reserve; be serenaded by a mariachi band; in the evening buy fresh tamales for tomorrow's breakfast from a street vendor; browse the art and artisan shops, or stroll down the beautiful Malecon to take in the sites downtown--the Church of Guadeloupe or the free night time live performances in the Plaza. There's something for everyone here.
This is our home away from home and we have furnished it for our comfort and that of our guests. In the living rooms, you will find gauzy white drapes gently moving with the breezes off the Bay of Banderas and the Sierra Madre Mountains and comfortable chairs and sofas in leather and woven natural banana leaf fiber with cool cotton upholstery. Saltillo tile floors, stucco walls, arched doorways, Mexican handicrafts, and perotta wood detail throughout provide a distinctively Mexican feel.
In both bedrooms and the murphy bed you will find amazingly comfortable American size and quality pillow top mattresses with silky quilts for your sleeping comfort. Pleasant cross breezes and cool dry evenings during winter months make for a restful night. Quiet mini-split air conditioning is available but usually only needed during off season. Charming and comfortable furnishings and drapes with a subdued tropical motif provide an inviting and private retreat at the end of a perfect day.
We provide maid service every 3 to 4 days each week. Extra days available at 300 pesos per day. Lock up your valuables, laptop, camera, passport, etc. in the condo's strongbox.
We provide the following consumables: filtered water, hand and body soap, dishwasher soap, dishwashing soap, toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissue, napkins, coffee filters, and laundry soap.
This is a professionally managed property and is perfect for couples, friends, or families. Guests of all persuasions seeking a peaceful garden oasis in the heart of Zona Romantica are welcome.

We liked everything about Alegria! I have stayed in quite a few condos, and yours was one of the best as far as "having everything you need". It was a nice touch to have the travel guide books in the baskets (with reading material)....especially for people who may have not been to PV (or Mexico) before....your instruction book covered everything we really needed to know about operating equipment in the condo. The book was awesome! the grounds were absolutely GORGEOUS! The pool area was unbelievable........we could have spent most of our days right there (and sometimes did). One of the things we liked best was your beautiful outdoor areas.....we ate every meal outside, and grilled a couple of times. We also loved the spectacular views, and the way the windows/doors open up to the outside. I would highly recommend Alegria to anyone who is interested in renting a condo in PV. You could not ask for a better location, and next time I return to Mexico I would definitely inquire about staying there again. It was the perfect place for us.....my grandson spent hours and hours in the pool and said it felt like "home" to him.

We are back here in freezing Montreal. Our trip to PV was just great... I just wanted to thank you for your help, and to let you know that we really enjoyed staying at your condo. We felt very comfortable there and really loved the whole complex. The rooftop pool area was amazing, and we enjoyed going from the hot tub into the pool... We also really enjoyed walking around the area and hanging out at the nearby beach. We will definitely keep your wonderful place in mind for any future trip to that area, and will forward your info to any friends or family who may be going in the future.

We loved the convenient location to everything, the quiet, the views, the air conditioning, the pool/gym, new construction and high-end kitchen amenities. The private terrace was a great plus. Also, the staff keeps everything pretty immaculate around there, including the gardens.

We recently returned from our vacation in Puerto Villarta and loved the condo at Selva Romantica. I have been coming for 8 yrs. and this is by far the best condo I have rented. I appreciated the cleaniness of both the condo and the grounds around the complex. We had friends who joined us and they said this was the nicest place they have ever stayed in. The staff was most helpful and polite. I would recommend this to any of my friends.
