Serenity in the midst of our chaotic times -- near all major attractions in San Antonio. Merely a 10 minute drive from downtown, yet once you arrive, you will feel as if you have stepped into the country miles from everything.
This unique 1-acre property has amenities that will appeal to all ages -- from the abundant birds that frequent the yard and gardens to a unique "Outback Bar" for you and your friends and family. A fire-pit in the park area makes for a great gathering place for roasting hot dogs or marshmallows. A jungle gym has been added for younger children. Parents can watch from the screened patio while their children are playing.
Six to seven people can sleep comfortably: master bedroom has a king-sized bed; 2nd bedroom offers two twins (trundle); the 3rd bedroom, with a comfy queen bed, can double as a den. This room offers much privacy and steps out onto the patio overlooking the park. The living room has a comfortable couch which could sleep a 7th person.
The Private Oasis is ideal for those seeking a comfortable country setting in more rustic surroundings, while also enjoying the convenience and restaurants nearby. 10 mins from downtown, the Riverwalk and the Alamo. 20 - 25 mins from SeaWorld & Fiesta Texas.

We stayed there 4 nights and we liked it (2 adults and 3 kids, 7, 5 and 3). The back yard is perfect for the kids to play, big and fenced. Even if the old hens houses are not very in good shape, there is enough space to play around and avoid them. The house was clean and the kids loved the huge bath tube!! We only missed an outdoor table to enjoy the lunch outside... It's only 10 minutes from San Antonio downtown and 25 from Sea World. For the price it worth it.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children.

we had a great time! The property was just as described and the house was bigger than we thought! We were four adults and three kids and it was the perfect size for all of us. This was a very kid friendly place. And yet it was very calm and quiet which was just what we needed. Even though you are close to the highway you can't hear a thing except the birds chirping. the girls enjoyed themselves on the playset every morning and the home was equipped with everything needed for our stay. its a residential area but we were 10 min from downtown and 25 minutes from seaworld. we had no problems finding the home and the photos reflected the home perfectly. We would recommend this home and will likely stay here again!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

House was ok for someone that is going to be gone all day and only need somewhere to sleep. The back yard has a swing set but did not want my kids outside. The back yard was dirty and not very safe at all. The internet did not work. I would not recommend this property to anyone.
Owner response:We, as owners, always go above and beyaond if an issue arises. Had I been alerted to the issues raised while these renters were guest at our vacation rental, I could easily addressed the problems. We have three maintenance workers on staff who could have fixed any issues with the yard and jungle gym that day. The wi-fi works there. Maybe the modem simply needed rebooting!! For what ever reason, some people would rather complain than make one simple phone call to resovle problems. That's all it would have taken to address every issue raised here. We encourage all guests to call us immediately if something doesn't meettheir satisfaction upon entering the property. We want our guests to have a comfortable stay and work very hard to ensure that we meet their standards.

This VRBO should be your top choice when in the need arises in San Antonio. I stayed three nights and I had two colleagues stay a night. Everything was clean and easily found, the jacuzzi worked (hot water didn't last until it was filled, but it was warm enough). Even had plenty of soaps and shampoos, something VRBO owners forget to have around. Even had a working CD player.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
