  We just returned from our trip and we're already talking about when we can go back! Bob and Kathy are wonderful hosts and they've put a lot of thought and care into their vacation home! Wonderful details - adorable decor, comfy towels, books, every kitchen tool you might need, a cooler to take down to the lake - and a game closet full of games for hours of family fun! We spent most of our time at the lake, it was clear, lovely, and peaceful...and just a few steps down the path. Great fishing and boating! After long days on the lake, we appreciated the comfortable living room with cable TV and lovely screened porch with hot tub. The bed linens were nice quality and everything was incredibly clean! Very conveniently located to the many fun Branson attractions but we had so much fun on the lake we never left! We'll definitely be back - hopefully very soon!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  If you are looking for a place away from the normal motels or condos, this place is for you. Peaceful surrondings. The house was much more than we anticipated. It had all the features of home. The cove was marvelous and away from the normal traffic.I would recommend this house for anyone who is looking for a place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

  My fiance and I have stayed at Shady Cove Hideaway four times now, and every time has been a very enjoyable experience! The first time we stayed was around Christmas. When we walked in, the vibe was amazing- there was even a Christmas tree adorned with a rustic theme. We have also stayed in the summer, and really enjoyed the private surroundings of the lake- gorgeous! The house is quite spacious (especially the master bedroom) yet quaint and homey at the same time. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of boating!!! We look forward to our fifth visit very soon!!!

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  If you are looking for a little slice of Heaven on Earth...you have found it. My husband & I stayed in this comfortable home for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. Not only is it wonderfully decorated, well equipped, and welcoming; it's unbelievably clean. The sunset on the lake was breathtaking as well as the thunderstorms we enjoyed in the master suite each night. This home is perfect for a family or even a married couple such as ourselves...wishing to celebrate 25 blessed years of marriage. We look forward to visiting again, but this time WITH our teenagers!

  My family spent a week at Shady Cove last summer and it was wonderful. My kids are still talking about how much fun they had and we will probably go back this summer. It was so relaxing and quiet. We all spent hours playing games and talking out on the back porch. Wonderfully decorated and very clean. It was a wonderful vacation for all of us.

  We really enjoyed our stay at Shady Cove Hideaway. The location is very quiet and peaceful. We had all the comforts of home and then some (hot tub and lake). It was nice to be able to bring Alex (our dog). Our stay was very relaxing. Thanks!

  We had a FABULOUS time at the Shady Cove Hideaway. It was a great house nestled back in the woods. For us, the escape from the land of cell phones and interenet were awesome. We so enjoyed the quiet of the house and the surrounding area. Our kids loved riding their bikes in the driveway while we looked on. They loved walking down to the lake to skip rocks and watch the boats go by. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and talking and reading. This is a perfect place if you want to escape from it all!

  This lake house is absolutely wonderful. It is fairly secluded with an incredible view from the back porch. The home is decorated beautifully throughout. The upstairs master bedroom is enormous with a nice little private deck. We did not have cell phone service at the home, but had no problem driving a couple of miles to get service. We noticed as we drove around that anytime you get down near the lake you lose cell phone service regardless of the area. Branson West, Kimberling City and Branson are all just a short drive away, with numerous stores, restaurants and opportunities for entertainment. Some of these other areas of the lake are much busier and more populated. If you are looking for a quiet, private, waterfront lake home that is fairly close to Branson.......this is the perfect place. Our family, including our dogs, highly recommends it.

  We truly enjoyed our stay at the lakehouse. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you would need to cook a variety of meals, the decorations were charming, and the view of the lake from the hot tub on the porch was simply amazing. The lake and beach were clean, and with no other lakehouses across the way, you feel like you're in your own private lake. On that note, potential renters might want to know this cabin is somewhat secluded: we did not have cell phone service (we had to drive a couple of miles to pick up a tower), and there was no internet. Thus if you need to make phone calls, you should bring a calling card or make other plans. However, we wanted a week away from everything, so we didn't mind too much at all. We can't wait to come back again soon!
