Welcome to historic Troutdale. DaGorge townhome sits on the hillside just two blocks from downtown Troutdale business-shopping district, at the confluence of the Sandy and Columbia Rivers. Convenient Highway access and a 15 min drive to downtown Portland.
The home offers a spacious yet cozy atmosphere with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs and a ½ bath downstairs. The lower living level has a well appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliance package and the needed items to let the gourmet in you create a feast to feed the crew.. Serve it in the adjacent dining area with seating for 6 at table and 2 additional at breakfast bar.
Dec 2011 -We have recently updated the paint and carpet in the lower areas of the townhouse for additional homey feel.
Sit back it the comfortable furnished living area and enjoy the ambiance of the gas fireplace while taking in your favorite show or movie. The entertainment system includes a NEW 50" flat screen high definition televion, DVD player with surround sound and cable box. INTERNET: Need to get connected? We offer High speed Broadband Internet access through our WIFI network.
Everything in this area is about the beauty of outdoor living. Start your day by stepping out the back sliding doors and sip your morning coffee or take a break in the afternoon for tea while taking in the view on to your own private deck with fenced yard.
When you are ready to call it a day, you will find accommodations for 6 on the upper level of the home. Each bedroom and bath is fully stocked with new linens and towels and an extra capacity side by side washer and dryer for your cleaning needs.
The master bedroom with ensuite bathroom will have its occupants peacefully slumbering on the Queen size, memory foam mattress. The bath has a single sink with combination tub and shower. There is ample walk-in closet and dresser space for your belongings to make you feel like home. This room has a private outdoor balcony looking downtown and onto the Gorge.
Each of the 2 guest rooms accommodates 2 occupants and is equipped with Queen beds, each has a dresser and closet for storage. The guest bedrooms share a full bathroom equipped with double vanity sinks and combination tub and shower.
Troutdale, the Gateway to the Gorge, offers our visitors access to a variety of activities in the surrounding Portland Metropolitan area. Only a 15 minute drive from the Portland airport (PDX) you can drop your bags and be out playing in no time at all. The City of Troutdale has over 20 city parks for recreation and diversion.

See Multnomah Falls just a few mile East on I84 or Hike Eagle Creek to punchbowl Falls located near the Bonneville Dam.. You wont be disappointed.
THE MOUNTAIN- Want to play on the mountain? The mountain calls to locals and visitors alike. If snow sports are more your style, nearby Mount Hood has all the answers. With four ski resorts and North America’s longest ski season (including 90 summer days), this 11,235-foot peak is a mecca for skiers, ice climbers, snowboarders and hikers.
The surrounding wilderness boasts spectacular trails for snowshoeing – Oregon’s newest winter sports rage – as well as cross-country skiing Year-Round Skiing - Each summer and fall, skiers and snowboarders flock to Oregon's snowcapped Mount Hood, site of North America's longest ski season - an average of 345 days per year. It takes just over an hour to get from a sidewalk café in Portland to the chair lift at Timberline. Prefer to leave your skis in storage? No problem. Just ride the chair lift and enjoy the spectacular views.
A leisurely drive back to Portland affords the proper ending to an adventurous Pacific Northwest day: a pint of local microbrew or glass of Oregon Pinot noir, and a fresh salmon dinner.

The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
Besides all the fun you can have in the downtown Portland area for outstanding music, food, art and entertainment, we love the little town of Troutdale and its location next to the Sandy river. SO many bridges to see in the area and public transportation is at the end of the block. We are close to Hood River which is a little artsy town that has terrific kiteboarding and wonderful restaurants to day trip through. Lots of places to find/make your own adventure.

We are avid snowboarders and just love visiting Mt. Hood for that reason. We decided to let others enjoy our wonderful townhouse at "DaGorge" during the times we are not there. It is so close to all the metro Portland activities and the many natural sites to see. It is one of our most favorite places to enjoy. We hope you do too!

I stayed with my family of 8 at the Dagorge Townhome and had a wonderful experience over Thanksgiving. The home was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped making Thanksgiving dinner preparation a breeze. Would highly recommend this rental for anyone visiting the portland area. Thaddeus provides excellent customer service and there is a very short turnaround time for questions/concerns.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Probably our favorite thing about the townhome was location: We enjoyed cycling on the old Columbia River Highway, Hiking in the Gorge, Golfing at McMenamin's, heading downtown, and various family members are nearby. Tad and Helen were great to work with, and very promptly returned the deposit. The house is nice, clean, and comfortable. I found the master bed too firm, but my wife liked it.

Well we made it back home and just wanted to say thanks again for sharing your townhouse with us. It was the perfect place and met all of our needs. One day we went to the Gorge, one day to the beach, one day to Mt. St. Helens and one day explored the city. It was a great place to stay.

We had an excellent experience in our most recent Portland visit. This Owner is very insightful about the area and prompt with contact regarding our stay. The home was convenient to all our travel spots. My sister got married at nearby Edgefield McMinamens winery and the home was just 2 miles away for our 6 family members to stay and attend the event. We enjoyed nearby Multnomah Falls and walking around the "Norman Rockwell" town of Troutdale. My husband enjoyed walks down by the Sandy river just a 5 min walk from the townhouse. Clean, confortable, Quite Enjoyable. We highly recommend it to those staying in the Portand Area. Thanks for such a great time. Hope to see you again soon.

We stayed in this great townhouse for a week in July. It was spacious, clean & comfortable - just perfect for us, our daughter's family & our older son's family. It was very conveniently located for our younger son's wedding in Portland and we had a wonderful time. What a find!

We stayed in the lovely townhouse for a week in March when it was particularly cold and wet, but we were warm and cozy in the townhouse. Loved the gas fireplace! We had two little ones along with five adults and had plenty of room. It was only minutes to the Gorge and two minutes to lovely downtown Troutdale. Easy access to freeways anywhere!

We had a wonderful time staying in Troutdale. The townhouse was just perfect for our family of 5. The place was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Everything was in excellent condition and the owners do a wonderful job of communicating with you. It is just a short drive into Portland. We definitely recommend the drive on the Columbia River Gorge Highway.

The townhouse is spacious with fine quality furnishings. Everything looks like new! The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has everything needed to cook a great meal or just a pizza. We stayed in the DaGorge townhome in October, 2007. It was absolutely perfect. All the amenities of home, including various movie channels! We will definitely rent the townhome again when we return to Portland.
