My husband & I have been staying in Estero Beach & Tennis units for many years & were very pleased to rent 1103A this year for 5 wks. We have already booked for 4 wks. for 2014! This unit is situated on the front left corner of the bldg. We have stayed in Gulf front units before but unfortunately at night it is very black out front & it is rather nice to see the lights of the island in 1103A. We are also able to see the sunrise & sunset daily from our balcony together with the moon at night. We prefer to have a balcony with the warmth & light of some sun & this is available nearly all the time. However, the back of the balcony can be shady to give you the best of both. A lot of units provide little sunshine which tends to make them darker inside. The one thing we liked about 1103A was the cleanliness & that it was not loaded with numerous nicknacks or furniture which tends to make these condos look even smaller than they are . We certainly enjoyed the 2 TV's, Netflix, DVD player, dishwasher, microwave, oven & icemaker. Many units do not have all these features. Last year we did not even have an oven. The 2 TV's keep husband & wife much happier & a dishwasher is a plus! We plan on purchasing a laptop next year for use with the WiFi in the condo. It is much more convenient than using your laptop outside near the office area to get reception. We have met so many wonderful friends over the years at Estero Beach & Tennis & even though there are times we thought we would like more space, we would not want to move & miss their company. It is perfect for 2 adults! We have had 4 in a unit for a few days - a week being the maximum if teenagers are with you - no problem if younger children for space as most of the time they are outdoors in the pool or shelling on the beach. We have seen so many different changes in the beach over the years but are thrilled with the size of it now out front. If you wish to see a larger beach, a 5 min. walk to the Holiday Inn will give you just that - larger than many in the Carribbean. For those more adventurous adults or teens, you can rent Seadoos at the Holiday Inn or go Parasailing. We love the stores at Santini Plaza just across the street & an area to buy fresh fruit & vegetables daily. On Tuesdays there are a no. of vendors which you will also enjoy! Grocery shopping, restaurants, the library & movie theatre are just a short distance from the condo by foot, car or on the trolley for 25 cents.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

From the first contact with owner I knew this was going to be a great experience. The views from the 8th floor balconey give you the best of both worlds because not only do you see the Gulf to the right, you also see a little of the back bay as well. They provided everything we needed from the appliances and dishes to the linens and furniture. Our 5 yr old son really enjoyed sitting out on the balconey and watching the flamingos in the mornings and then watching the sea gulls and pelicans diving for fish in the afternoon. My favorite spot was the recliner by the window facing the Gulf. I sat there for hours watching the beach goers, birds, and boats going by. This beach is not like the ones you see in the busier part of Fort Myers Beach. This beach is FULL of life. We literally saw hundreds, if not thousands of sand dollars. There were blue and hermit crabs, a variety of small fish, starfish, and my father in law even found a sea urchin. Although we never saw baby sea turtles, we did see a few holes that they crawled out of. Truly an amazing experience to walk out there with my son and show him all of this life. I would definitely refer anyone to stay here. The price was very reasonable and the unit was clean. The pool was large and comfortable. The grounds were extremely well maintained. Nothing but good to say here.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
