Located in the Sierra Crestellina Natural Park between the hilltop "pueblo blancas" of Gaucin and Casares, this finca commands stunning views across the beautiful Rio Genal valley to the mountains of the Sierra Grazalema National Park, Los Alcornocales National Park, and the Serrania de Ronda.
During the low season (and sometimes the mid-season) the house can be rented as a two bedroomed property (the ground floor bedroom suite and library corridor can be locked) sleeping a maximum of 4 adults plus up to two children under 5 sharing their parents' bedrooms. All other amenities and facilities of the house remain available to guests. When rented as a 3-bedroom house the villa will sleep a maximum of 6 adults plus three children under five sharing adults' bedrooms.
With the Sierra Crestellina mountain as its backdrop, Finca Las Aguilas is set in six acres (2.5 hectares) of landscaped and wild gardens and is a birdwatchers' paradise. There are many excellent walking trails close to the villa - and the sky at night is stunning. In spring the wild flowers are beautiful.
Although private and peaceful, the villa is ideally situated to provide easy access to Blue Flag beaches, excellent restaurants, shops and superb golf courses (Valderrama, Sotogrande, etc) along the coast. There is an award-winning goats cheese factory (queseria), a bakery (panaderia), and a bar/restaurant (venta) 2.5 kms away (about 1.5 miles). Supermarkets, retail parks, banks etc and all the essentials of the Costa del Sol are within easy driving distance.
The wonderful cities of Seville, Cordoba, Jerez, Tarifa, Grenada and Malaga are all less than 3 hours away - and Morrocco is a 30-min ferry crossing from Tarifa.
The owners are sometimes in residence in the small casita, separated from the main house by a study/store room. The casita does not overlook the mainhouse in any way and visitors have the sole use of the grounds (6 acres - 2.5 hectares) and pool. If the owners are not in residence (they travel a lot) in the casita there is a caretaker who can be contacted at all times for help and information - her phone number will be given to you.

- Full Kitchen: The kitchen is very well equipped to cater for a large group with American style fridge/icemaker/chilled water dispenser, large range cooker (2 ovens, 5 gas hobs, griddle, grill and plate warmer), granite work surfaces, and an extensive range of cooking utensils, cooking equipment,cookery books and crockery, cutlery, glasses for 12 plus
- Cooking Utensils Provided: The owners entertain in this house when in residence and it has everything you need - from a cafetiere and teapot to stick liquidiser, deep frier, smoothie maker and wok.

- Lanai: The large covered verandah off the master bedroom has 270 degree views and another Morroccan day bed. It also has a rowing machine and clothes line.

- Ocean View: 200 yards up the snall private track from the house there are views to Gibraltar, the Straits of Gibraltar and the Morroccan Rif Mountains in Africa.
- Mountain View: Beautiful views in all directions towards two major Spanish national parks and the Genal River Valley. The property itself is located in the Crestellina Parque Naturale with stunning views to the mountain summit where vultures and eagles soar and ibex and wild boar can be seen.

Wild life - ibex, wild boar, mongoose, Griffon vultures, unique species of plant have all been identified on this property - which is also on the spring and autumn migration route of a wide variety of birds - from bee eaters and storks to honey buzzards and Griffon vultures. - The property is ideally located for bird watching - and the house is situated in its own plot of six acres in a regional Natural Park with unique plant, animal and bird species. It is on the autumn and spring migratory path of a large variety of European birds flying to and from Africa and the Sierra Crestellina behind the house is one of the largest nesting roosts for Griffon vultures in Andalucia.
