We had a wonderful time! Your cabin is just beautiful. You have added many special touches that really add to the mountain getaway experience! There wasn't enough snow to sled, but maybe we can return someday and give it a try. We ended up renting ATV's and had a super time on the trails. Thanks for the recommendation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Everything was exactly as it was described. The house was very comfortable and quiet. Just what we were looking for. We found so much to do in the area and the directions that Marc and Angel left at the house were very helpful. Anyone who wants to find a comfortable mountain home off the beaten path, but still just a short drive to civiliation needs to check this one out.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

I can't say enough good things about our experience. First off, the house is beautiful with plenty of room. It could have easily slept double our group of 4. The views are amazing. (I wish I could upload some of our pics on here!) The cabin is well situated to enjoy all the MANY attractions around Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, etc. In just 4 days we were able to visit: the Wolf Sanctuary, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, Cog Rail, Seven Falls, and Monitou Cliff Dwellings. There's also Whitewater Rafting, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, North Pole Village and so much more. We visited the Royal Gorge on our way out- incredible. If you're looking for something secluded, though, and want to skip the town stuff, this house is perfect for that as well. One of our nights there, we just made chili on the stove, sipped wine by the fire and settled in to watch the wildlife. For a group from Tyler, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we couldn't get over the amount of wildlife. We saw deer every morning from the back deck, elk several times and even a bear up the road! The squirrels and chipmunks were the cutest little guys. One squirrel, we affectionately named JJ, would come right up to us and eat while we sipped coffee on the deck. We weren't sure how to connect to their WiFi, and Marc & Angel were very easy to get a hold of and they walked us through how to do it. So, if you do need them for any reason during your stay, rest assured they'll be there to help ya out. Speaking of them, I don't believe you'll find better people to rent from and deal with. They absolutely love the house and the area and it shows in all the "little touches" around the house. We honestly felt like we were staying at a friend's home while they were out of town. We didn't walk into a bare house and bare kitchen. There was hot chocolate mix, coffee- a lot of little things in the cabinet that you just don't think about when you're packing for a vacation. There was laundry detergent, food to feed the wildlife, tons of board games (we played Monopoly for the first time in years! lol). They have gone out of their way to make guests feel at home and that's a part of the vacation we weren't expecting and I don't think you'll find with many other rentals. We will, without a doubt, stay here again! From start to finish, this was the total package! If you book this cabin, be sure to check out the guestbook on the table- we wrote down where we saw the bear and elk. :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great getaway for young and old! Our family enjoyed the nearby trails, the beautiful scenery from the deck, the wildlife scampering about the yard and the quiet mountain air! The house is perfectly situated, far enough away from the crowds, but close enough to enjoy MANY local activities after a short drive. We enjoyed the quartz quarry, the wolf santuary, the cog railroad, fishing and shopping in Woodland Park. And can't forget, just sitting, relaxing on the deck. The cabin is just as it is described on vrbo.com. Plenty of room for eveyone to sleep comfortably and sit together at the dinner table. Of course, cooking at 9,000 feet was somewhat of a challenge! ;-) All in all, we had a wonderful time and cannot wait to get back! Thank you Angel and Marc for offering your home to us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family of 7 enjoyed 4 days of sheer beauty. It was great from the location to the amenities. Everything we needed and hoped for was found. The ability to do some hiking from the young to the old was available on site. The deer and her fawn were welcomed visitors each day, not to mention the Chipmunks that loved to scurry all around. Thanks Marc & Angel for helping us feel so comfortable in your cabin get-a-way and beat that Texas heat if only for a week. We will return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We thank you so much! Your cabin was absolutely beautiful. We were in awe over the wonderful woodwork in the cabin...the chairs, benches, wood art on walls...everything was simply beautiful to be around for our short stay. I took photos of some of the woodwork with the unrealistic dream of trying my hand at woodworking someday! If either of you are the artists, you have a tremendous talent. Thank you both for providing such a lovely cabin and vacation experience. It was a very relaxing end to our long Colorado vacation. The biggest and nicest surprise for us was the deer trail. We loved the trail and saw many deer. My husband works in our yard and has an artistic side to his landscaping. I felt the same with your property...the small touches that were so nice...quartz and other placements of rocks, the sweet way the rocks were outlining baby pines to protect them, seashells, surprise birdbaths on tree stumps, etc. I think you both have such a nice touch. I could picture you working your land to make it so tidy, neat and special with little surprises. It really was a pleasure. We saw many a deer, chipmunks galore (so cute!), and birds right on the property. It was delightful. Our favorite thing was the "deer path" that you've created on your property. A perfect, short hike to see the lovely views...watch for deer (which we did indeed see), and so fun to explore. My girls loved finding the tee-pee --- what a fun surprise. Your lovely bird feeders are a huge hit with the birds and chipmunks and so fun to watch all day long. I think they're spoiled by your generosity! The love you feel for your land evident. And we can see why! We had such a nice time, Thank you again! We hope to return to Divide and your lovely place again in the future! Sincerely, Holly Austin, TexasRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This cabin was perfect! We have a family of eight and there was more than enough room for all of us and then some. We were pleasantly surprised to find internet (WIFI) and satellite TV available. Although they were not needed to enjoy ourselves, they sure were an added bonus! The cabin was in excellent condition! The decor and design of the house was perfect with a "western mountain" theme. I lived in Colorado for 24 years of my life and I have never been to a nicer Cabin. As far as the location......it couldn't have been better! There is plenty to do just minutes down the street. I went fishing on multiple occasions at the South Platte River and 11 Mile Reservoir. Both places were beautiful and full of fish! We also went for the drive up Pikes Peak, The North Pole, The Dinosaur Resource Center and dined at many fine restaurants. If you have never been to this area before, there are plenty of things to enjoy in Woodland Park and Manitou Springs that are just right down the road. We found the friendliest people everywhere around, especially in Divide. The grocery store in Divide became a frequent stop and we pleased to find a good selection and great prices. If you are looking to see some wild life this is the right place to come. We saw elk (one Bull was in velvet), deer (mule and white tail), ground squirrels, humming birds, chipmunks and various kinds of birds. All right there around the cabin. There are also hiking trails right on the property as well as just down the street. The cabin is amply furnished and complete with all the things necessary to make a comfortable stay. Marc and Angel have thought of everything!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
