We stayed at this cottage in March and found it to be totally up to par with all of the positive reviews and description. The neighborhood is awesome. Close to the beach, quiet, and an easy & short drive to all of the major attractions. The hosts provided excellent service and were very responsive to questions and requests. They had an extra warm blanket and new coffee pot delivered to us almost the second we asked for them! Only slightly negative, but to be balanced in my review: the street the house is on is quite busy. Not noisy at all though. The kitchen needs a bit more counter space-I think a little table or island on wheels would do the trick. The parking space was sometimes blocked by someone else parking there so we had to look for street parking (we didn't complain about it though so the owners didn't have any way of knowing). The door code we were given didn't work-but we phoned the owners and got it figured out within a couple of minutes. You can't beat the price-I would definitely send friends and family to stay here!

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.

All I’ll say is OMG! This place was the very best. The house was super clean and in great location. Just two blocks from the bay and six from the beach. The location is great to all the grocery stores and around the best eating restaurants. My girls went crazy over the bunk beds. I loved the flat screen TV and large sofa. It was so nice to come home to your own personal little house and rest. I highly recommend Nancy and her team…They answered all our questions.

Visit for 2 Weeks from 15.August – 28. August 2009Großartiger Aufenthalt für 2 Wochen in San Diego im Appartment PB 1440We had such a great time in San Diego. The condo was wonderful it is quiet and close to everything that we wanted to go to.We stayed at the PB 1440 property with our 13 year old son and our 7 year old dauther and it was perfect. The house was clean, well decorated, up to date appliances, especially in the kitchen. We missed nothing and we cooked a lot. It was a convenient location. We don't have any complaints regarding the condo. The beds were comfortable. The stuff in the garage was so helpfull, an we had a lot of fun with the wavebords on the beach, we could lend from you.Again, we had such a fabulous time and really appreciate all of what your condo had to offer. You have also been very nice to work with and that is also very much appreciated. I already wish I was back in sunny San Diego, out here from the soon coming long winter in Germany, Munich.German: Es ist ein wunderschoenes großes Appartmenthaus, zu Fuß gleich an einem Strand mit Kinderspielplatz. Das Appartment ist ruhig, es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Es ist sehr sauber und die Besitzer sind sehr nett und für alle Fragen sofort verfuegbar. Die Kuechenausstattung ist perfekt. Schwamm, Spuelmittel, Waschmittel, Handtuecher, all das was man sonst kaufen muesste, war vorhanden. Toll, dass man die Beachausstattung mit den Wave- und Surfboards und die Fahrraeder von der Garage nutzen kann. Seaworld ist in 5 Minuten zu erreichen, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach um die Ecke und Ja Jolla gut zu erreichen. Eine perfekte Lokation, um an alle Sehenswuerdig-keiten und Attraktionen und schoene Straende in kurzer Entfernung zu erreichen.See you and Aufwiedersehen aus South Germany, Munich.Monika and Guenther and the kids, Munich

Me, my husband and our two kids stayed for 4wks last Summer.mid-July to mid-Aug. It was our first road trip with our kids, 3yo girl & 5.5 yo boy and when we arrived, it was the icing on the cake. The condo was clean, had exactly what was shown in the pictures and listed. It's quiet and close to everything. We walked daily to the beach (bay side, kids were in water all day) and playground. We BBQ'd. My mother-in-law watched the kids one night while we got away on a bike ride, diinner and a stroll along Belmont Park (kids also loved BP). San Diego Zoo and Old San Diego downtown were also enjoyable and a close drive. The enclosed space let the kids play outside and everyone was so friendly. When we called Jeremy with a scare that we locked ourselves out of the condo, he responded with such courtesy and kindness. (Fortunately, afterall, he didn't have to make the drive out to the property.) It was a pleasure to meet him just before we checked out. Not one complaint and we look forward to going.again soon with more family members. While this is a late post, the memories of good times have not been forgotten!

This is the second year that we stayed at one of NVR's property. We enjoyed this cozy 2 bedroom home. It is nicely decorated and easily located down the street from the beach (which my kids love). We had a issue with the shower head, but it was fixed before we return from the beach that day. We will absolutley be staying there again. Thanks Nancy

I have just finished my second stay at this property, the first time in the studio and this last time in the front 2 bedroom. My daughter and I are down for business every other month and we so thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, we will call and hopefully book this same place again. The unit is spacious and very comfortable and nicely decorated. We enjoyed sitting at the table out front and discussing our day. The most fun we had was using the bicycles. It was wonderful to be able to jump on them and ride around the area. Thank you so much for including them in the rental. I will now have to have them available where ever I stay! Thanks again!

We enjoyed our stay in San Diego. The unit was clean and comfortable. The bunk beds were a big hit with our 5 year old twins. We visited the Wild Life Park, Legoland, Disney, SeaWorld, Belmont Park, the beach, LaJolla's seals, and Old Town. Nancy was very nice and accomodating. We would definately stay again should we decide to return to San Diego in the future.

My family of 5 stayed here over Thanksgiving. The location is very nice; close to the beach and Sea World. There was plenty of space. Jeremy was very helpful. He stopped by to make sure we were getting settled ok and when we had a problem w/a power outage, he allowed us to use a nearby rental unit to cook our turkey! We would definitely use Nancy's Vacation Rentals again.

Hi and thank you for taking the time to look for guest comments. It shows you are a savvy, careful shopper and I admire that! This convenient duplex with two mirror-image 2-bdrm apartments and also a Studio apt were recently added to Nancy's Vacation Rentals and I am very proud to have it in my group of affordable just-off-the-beach vacation rentals. The owner is a local Real Estate broker. He remodeled and furnished the two duplex apartments last summer and added the Studio a few months later. This is a wonderful area for families with young children as it is so close to Fanuel Park young children's playground on Sail Bay and the units have a fenced yard, too. I'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy this quiet residential neighborhood just a few blocks from beautiful Sail Bay. I hope you will try it soon and be one of the first to add your comments for these adorable newly renovated apartments. We had such a great time in San Diego. The condo was wonderful and close to everything that we wanted to go to. My brother is going to vacation there this summer and I am definitely recommending that he contact you for a condo rental. I don't have any complaints regarding the condo, but maybe a suggestion. The condo sleeps 6, but you only have like 4 plates and 3 bowls, a set of dishes to have for everyone who stayed there would be great. Again, we had such a fabulous time and really appreciate all of what your condo had to offer. You have also been very nice to work with and that is also very much appreciated. I already wish I was back in sunny San Diego-there is a blizzard watch here in Kansas. Thanks again!!

The unit we stayed in was very nice. The space was perfect for our needs and the location worked well for our family. The only negative aspect was the electrical situation. It was cold and with the space heaters running, the breakers continually needed to be reset.

The house we stayed in was perfect for our needs. We have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old and there was plenty of room for them to play. The house was clean and anything that you could possibly want was provided. We will definitely stay there on our next trip to San Diego.
