Why the Owner Chose Printers Row

We have chosen our location because it has so much to offer. We wanted to offer a get away that would minimize add on expenses and offer the convenineces of a hotel. What makes ours unique is how it closely it does resembles the hotel environment. It offers the security of having a similiar size, scale, and front desk of a hotel, yet it is a private property which makes it quiet and homey at the same time. It has a sky-deck with fabulous views. It has a mini-mart, cleaners, laundry room, movie rentals, grocery store all on property which make a short getaway very convenient and inexpensive. What is not at your fingertips is within two miles away. We are in the center where you can experience it all yet removed enough to enjoy some peace and quiet too!!

Happy Happy Home

We recently returned from a lovely stay in this apartment. The building is uber cool and the condo itself is very comfortable and extremely well equipped. It's within walking distance of everything one could need or want to see and do in Chicago. Whole Foods, a "regular" grocery store, the post office, Staples, Target, and even my favorite, a yarn shop, were just a stroll away. That's not even mentioning all the museums and restaurants that are just a hop, skip, and a jump from these comfy digs. It was a straight-shot train ride from the airport and a few blocks to home. Wonderful! The thing I found most surprising was how quiet the building was for such a large place. Sometimes you could hear children playing in the common area, but almost no sounds from neighbors, pipes, etc. All the residents we ran into were extremely friendly, seemingly like everyone else in Chicago. We highly recommend this condo and definitely will stay here again when we need to spend time in the Windy City!

Great Apartment!

My boyfriend and I stayed in this apartment for a week at the end of November! It was great and had everything we needed for the week. Tracey was accommodating and pleasant to deal with. No problems at all - everything went smoothly. The WiFi, cable, and movie supply were great for down time and the nearby grocery stores and mini-mart in the basement were super helpful! I would highly recommend this apartment! It's in the south loop but within walking distance to downtown. Karen

Irish father & son visitors.

My son, aged 21, and I came to Chicago in June, principally to see the architectural highlights, and found that the building is actually on the Chicago Architectural Foundation's boat tour. Staying in this lovely apartment added to our enjoyment. Superbly located, particularly as we did not hire a car, and the shuttle bus was very handy and cost effective. The place was clean with plenty of fresh towels and bed linen available. The internet connection was a great asset, tourist literature was available, nice and quiet and the view from the roof is an attraction in itself! The apartment is clean and surprisingly large, as we were not expecting to have this much space. There are a range of sleeping arrangements available, so would be suitable for couples, families with children or special couple breaks. Being able to cook our own meals helped with our costs, and gave us great touring flexibility. There is a Whole Foods Market relatively nearby, so we were able to stock up on fresh food, fruit etc and fill up the fridge. Planning our trip was made very simple thanks to the courtesy, professionalism and understanding shown to us by Tracey, who was very helpful, clarifying issues promptly by e mail and allowed us flexibility with arrangements. If I, or any friends were returning to Chicago I would make contact once again to check availability. The Chicago Architectural Foundation were excellent and our shuttle bus delivered us there daily. Overall a wonderful family experience. Thank you Tracey

April in Chicago

Guest: Marie (Montréal, Canada)
Date of Stay: 04/20/10 Review Submitted: 06/18/10

I visited Chicago with my boyfriend for a week in April 2010. For our first time in that city, we couldn't have been in a better location. The apartment is sunny, well furnished and large enough for two people. You can reach several touristic sites by walking and you are near bus and metro lines. Since we visited Chicago partly because of its architectural interest, it was a pleasure to live in a building which is a part of recent history itself.

Memorial Day weekend 2010

Guest: wendyb104 (Kentucky)
Date of Stay: 05/28/10 Review Submitted: 06/04/10

My family and friends (total of 3 adults and 3 kids - ages 11, 11, and 14) spent 4 nights here over Memorial Day weekend. We had never been to Chicago and were delighted at how easily we could walk to transportation stations. We bought a 3 day and a 24 hour CTA pass and took the bus or subway many places, including Wrigley Field, Briar Street Theatre to see the Blue Man Group, Navy Pier, Museum of Science and Industry, and the Museum Campus. My friend and her daughter took advantage of the free shuttle to travel to the American Girl Place. I would recommend buying a City Pass if you are making your first trip to Chicago. It provided discount tickets to all 5 major museums as well as a trip up in either the Sears Tower or Hancock Building. Plus, you get to skip to the front of the line, which was a HUGE perk. I would suggest eating at Gino's East if you want a good Chicago style pizza. Also, make a stop at Portillos and eat the beef and sweet pepper sandwich with a side of gravy. Tracey's place was perfect for us. We took advantage of the blow up mattresses and all 6 of us slept comfortably in the 1 bedroom apartment (2 in beds, 1 on twin blow up mattress, 2 on full blow up mattress, and 1 on couch). The view from the top floor is amazing at night. Everything we needed was provided. I have already recommened this place to friends, and I will stay here again if I ever make it back to Chicago. Great location and lots of amenities. The shuttle bus saved us lots of time and money. Convenient to walk to major attractions with shuttle stops. Could rent movies and shop all within the building! Had everything we needed! Owner was great with communication! Would definitely stay again!

We have spent 3 wonderful days in Chicago in this apartment. The location is perfect: not far away from the Union Station, and tourist sites + the neighborhood is quite. The hosts provided a lot of information and were very helpful.

Excellent rental, great price! The condo had a great view of the Chicago River and it was about three blocks from the Sears Tower. The condo was very nice, sleeping arrangements were very flexible and it was quite large for a condo in downtown Chicago.

We stayed at this location almost a year ago on vacation celebrating our anniversary. It was perfect for a couple. We walked to the Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum with no trouble. The building is beautiful and quiet. It was a great vacation, and a wonderful location to stay in. If we ever get back to Chicago we will rent this place again.
