The La Jolla Cottage is a tropical paradise located at the world famous Windansea Beach. It is located within the La Jolla school district and is just blocks from La Jolla High where there are state of the art tennis courts and a year round public swimming pool.
This beach cottage is only 3 blocks from the beach an easy 5 minute walk. The beach is well known for its surf as well as beautiful sunset walks that can lead you into the very heart of the village of La Jolla. The village of La Jolla offers the finest in restaurants and shopping where there is something for everyone. Also nearby is the famous children's beach with the seals that can be seen year round lazing on the beach!
Within walking distance is Busy Bee Bagels, Su Casa Mexican Restaurant, convenience store and other child friendly restaurants. Walking east for 2 blocks will lead you to a wonderful dog park and hiking and bike trails that are great for both kids and dogs to exercise.
Enjoy all the comforts of home in the California Cottage with TV Cable/HBO/Movies-on-Demand and DVD player. High-speed internet access is available for your laptop computers.The master bedroom has a queen size bed,and the living room has a pull out full size sleeper. Additional blowup bed and roll out twin bed available upon request. A private patio offers barbecue, outdoor seating and makes for great outdoor entertaining. A fully stocked kitchen has all new appliances including a coffee maker and complimentary Starbucks coffee. A single car garage is available for parking your car and storing beach toys. Full-sized washer and dryer are also available.
Beach chairs and umbrella are available to take down to the beach.Dog bed and bowls also are available on request and doggy daycare at $30 per day is offered if you need to get away to Seaworld or the likes and can't take your dog. Doggy day-care includes trips to fully fenced dog yards with a dog care expert.The California Cottage is one mile from the Cove in La Jolla, 20 miles from San Diego International Airport and close to many popular tourist venues such as the Gaslamp District, Sea World, Legoland, the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park and Balboa Park.Disneyland is one and-a-half hours away in Orange County. Universal Studios, Beverly Hills and Hollywood is two hours away in Los Angeles.

Very comfortable for 2 people and a pet. Easy walk to the beach. Nice neighborhood. Great place to have a dog--park within two blocks. Enjoyed the fountain on the patio and the patio in general. Well equipped kitchen, but no dishwasher. I appreciated the attention to detail regarding nearby ammenities; especially the Farmers' Market on Sunday morning.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, pet owners.

Our monthlong stay (March) was very enjoyable. The location near Windansea Beach was an easy walk and the Sunday Farmers Market was a treat. The owners were quick to respond when asked for help and had the unit in good shape on our arrival. If there was a way to have the backyard improved (adjoining neighbors sit outside the Bedroom window) it would be most helpful. All in all, we had a great time and would certainly recommend it to a friend.
Recommended for:Sightseeing.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at this cottage which is great for a family of 4. The beach is quite close and the cottage was clean and convenient. The back patio was a great place to sit in the evening.
